Thank you GMAT Club and Narenn for having me on the panel :) Still can't get over the fact that I got to interact with THE Charles!! I hate that I had connectivity issues towards the end, but all the same, this was such a lovely discussion. Cheers to my fellow panellists and all the best to everyone looking to attempt both the Classic and Focus Editon tests in the near future!
I love the hypes Charles and all over panelists bring. Thank you so much GMAT Club for arranging this session!. Looking forward for another GMAT Focus experiences session.
Thank you so much Gmat Club for conducting this session. And most importantly thanks to Charles for the way he conducted the session. He always looks great. Thanks!
Interesting. I do believe in the mid-long run the GMAT focus version of the test will be a win!!! These video interviews conducted by such an expert like Charles are what the students really need.
Something I noticed in my mock. If you review a question and do not submit an answer before the time runs out, it counts the question as not attempted and penalizes you heavily. Make sure you have the time to submit (with or without edit) when you review a question.
Some students are saying that the gmat classic exam that they took was a lot harder than the mocks they gave and their score in official attempt was a lot lower than their average mock scores. Have you heard anything of such sort from any credible source?
We keep hearing both types of stories i.e. actual exam being harder and easier than the mocks. It often depends of what kind of mocks you are giving (and from which source) and how closer they are to the actual test.
I can't really comment on whether Focus edition is easier or harder than classic exam, I think the following two videos will help you in tacking the problem of score drop in actual test (despite doing well in practice tests) ruclips.net/video/bPn3fJtny3A/видео.html ruclips.net/video/CGQT3YnZLHQ/видео.html

Yes, I noticed folks on the forum mentioning similar experiences on the actual test. This is really good advice!
Jesus that 8 point difference in quant did make a huge difference in the score.

I gave classic on 30th and despite scoring 760 in mocks twice scored 670 in real. I felt the exam extremely tough. Wondering if focus is easier.
