I remember liking this film. Classic. I’ve seen Kickboxer II and Kickboxer V. I didn’t like the former but liked the latter (but not as much as Part I though). In Kickboxer V, I liked the beautiful shots of S. Africa.
I did post the film. Part V featured Mark Dacascos and James Ryan. The latter is a S. African actor. I liked him in ‘Kill or Be Killed’ and ‘Kill and Kill Again’.
This bad guy was a bad guy yo, from start of film , bad guy kicking some load bearing pillar, holding up the whole building , while van damm getting ice for his brother who gets whipped

I don't know man, Bloodsport always had the "based on a true story," bit. Just to know a real kumite existed is enough to make Bloodsport my favorite JCVD.

Because of the original karate kid movie i had a phase for martial arts movies and was a van damme fan somewhat but not anymore for obvious reasons

Yes is the answer. We trash 90% of what we see but that doesn’t make it unwatchable. Kickboxer is bad but a lot of fun.
