Big baller positions in baseball has numbers. 1 being pitcher, 2 being catcher, and so on. A 6-4-3 is a play where the shortstop fields the ball and throws it to second base who proceeds to throw it to first base. In this situation the shortstop fielded the ball, threw it to 2B for the force out who threw it to 1B to complete the double play. Hope this helped.
That one's definitely the most savage. Not only did he call the curve but he also called that it wouldnt break. idt calling the bp was that crazy though because of course you're going to pull a hanger
You should watch the whole at bat, after every pitch they get even more excited and they’ve “never been more excited for a 3-1 pitch in their life” the whole booth is just cracking up
RIP Dave Niehaus. Baseball has always been about radio for me. He was the voice of my childhood, the voice of my young adulthood... And then he was gone. Fly, fly away, my friend... You've earned it.
I remember listening to SF Giants games on the radio as a kid, and I specifically remember a Sunday afternoon in 1998 when Duane Kuiper did something similar to what the Royals' announcer did at 2:48. In the 9th inning he called a Charlie Hayes HR that won the game. He said something to this effect, "Hayes should be looking for a change-up here. If he's locked in like I think he is, he will sit back on that and drive it into the LF bleachers." Then, it literally happened just like that.
Having seen how amazing it can be when a commentator is spot on with his call, I'd now like to see what happens when commentators are way off on their predictions. Got any clips where a home run prediction turns into a strikeout on a pitch in the dirt or a popout behind the plate? 😂
I'm a Mariners fan, and absolutely love Blowers' legendary call. That being said, the royals announcer calling the hanging curveball, into the bullpen, is a close second.
Dave Barnett: "He is definitely due, maybe overdue. Maybe worth a Tom Grieve called home run later on in the game." Tom Grieve: "Well, why not right now? Dave Barnett: "Why not right now? Pelfrey's given up thirteen." Tom Grieve: "Now's a good time for it, let's try it right now!" Beltré hits ball to deep center Dave Barnett: "Well, there it is!" ruclips.net/video/gBAJYqjYzOY/видео.html
As a twins fan Dick and Bert (Twins announcers) have the best calls, they don’t always get them right but when they do they clearly call it, some of these were just coincidences
Blowers call is legendary. You're missing another legendary one though. Frank Beckman, last game at Tiger Stadium talking about how Al Kaline called Robert Fick home run and then Fick goes boom.
these are good but my favorite so far is when outfielders show off there arms and make diving cathes or infielders make a play deep in the whole or turn 2 like they could do it in there sleep
A couple of these were impressive like the one at 2:48 and the Mike Blowers one but the rest weren't too impressive. All of these homeruns were on hitter counts 2-0,1-0,3-0. On hitter counts the pitcher is almost forced, there are rare exceptions, to throw a fastball in a location that's favorable to the batter to get a strike and start working towards a pitcher count 2-2, 1-2,so that they can throw their curvballs, sliders, etc ( pitches that are less accurate but harder to hit). If a coach or commentator has seen a batters performance the last couple of games and the batter is hitting deep foul balls or deep fly balls to the warning track and know the location tendencies of the pitcher/catcher when their behind in a count, and how to the tight umps strike zonehas been, calling a homerun is not some genius or mystic thing at all it happens in dugouts all the time. The double play call was the least impressive out of all the highlights. The pitcher/catcher and the announcer knew that the batter was stepping towards the third base side on every pitch because of this the batter is not able to get proper hip rotation on pitches that are not inside causing him to top the ball if a 2 seam fastball was thrown down the middle. Baseball is a thinking mans game to an extent.
Blowers 3-1 count call is by far the greatest of all time.
facts. he gave location, at bat, the count, the type of pitch. Just crazy. he knows what hes talking about
Zamir Baez and hhad a bit of luck lol
more like a prediction
Absolutely!
Zamir Baez also it was his first home run too that’s even wilder
Dude the Mike Blowers call is legendary. It is absolutely ludicrous. It makes zero sense how the actual hell he did that
The homer calls are cool, but that double play call was brutal.
If I was Leonard, I would've quit baseball right after hearing about that.
6
4
3
nah it was a ground ball
Charlie Campbell what’s a 643

"I SEE THE LIGHT!" LMAO...I would've lost my shit too if that happened like Blowers predicted. That's nuts. Gotta love baseball.
Only Dave Niehaus can come up with a call like that and that’s why he’s in Cooperstown with the other great announcers
2:48 called the pitch, the hit and the location
That one's definitely the most savage. Not only did he call the curve but he also called that it wouldnt break. idt calling the bp was that crazy though because of course you're going to pull a hanger
Dave Nihaus' call is among my favorite play by play calls of all time. Legendary.
I still can't believe that Tuiasosopo one.
Mike has a time machine or a looking glass device to peer into the future.
You can tell even Mike was surprised. That laugh is classic.
You should watch the whole at bat, after every pitch they get even more excited and they’ve “never been more excited for a 3-1 pitch in their life” the whole booth is just cracking up
i got goosebumps. Crazy lmao
Celebrity Waffle yeah that's the best one by far
God I miss Dave Niehaus! My childhood was hearing him call Mariners games!! “I don’t believe it, I see the light, I believe you Mike” lol
Do a comp of these calls failing
"He gonna homer"
*groundout*
RIP Dave Niehaus.

That last one though.
Skip Caray did that more than a couple times too. Home and away. It was pretty uncanny.
oh...how I miss Skip Caray. "and like lambs to the slaughter, the Braves take the field."

It is outta here
Never Give Up best catchphrase ever
so happy I’m a Giants fan
Is it?
IT-IS-OUTTA-HERE
Imma Phillies fan and i love the call lmao
Ryan Lafevre's Moustakas call was insane. That was before he became a 38 home run hitter too. He called the pitch and exact location too lol.
Mike Blowers one was insane

You have no idea how many times I predicted a Brad Ausmus 4-6-3 dp.....erry tine
It's so easy to predict the Tigers hitting into a DP
I dont watch any major sports, but I love these baseball videos! So chill, well done.
Thanks for watching I appreciate it
Thanks for posting bro I appreciate it too
"aaaalright good call" gets me every time lol.
The prediction at 5:30 is my all time favorite
Dick Bremer’s pretty good at making calls
isak_dinesen14 if you watch twins game he does it all the time
Do a compilation of weird areas inside stadiums (Triple's Alley SFG, that porch in SD, the short fence in Polo)
Good idea I will see if I can
Nice.
I'm a Mariners fan, and absolutely love Blowers' legendary call. That being said, the royals announcer calling the hanging curveball, into the bullpen, is a close second.
That one where he calls the pitch the homer and where the ball would end up was amazing
Boy that Twins announcer has a gift.
2:38 YO ITS SPENCER FROM iCARLY
Blaque lol
I’ve seen the blowers piece before, but not with the analysis from Rachel Maddow. Awesome!
The Twins announcer is on it man
I'm guessing that guy was notorious for hitting into double plays. That was straight savage though.
No doubt Blowers 3-1, 2nd at-bat, left side Homerun prediction is the greatest of all-time. Someone get that man to a casino
Dave Barnett: "He is definitely due, maybe overdue. Maybe worth a Tom Grieve called home run later on in the game."
Tom Grieve: "Well, why not right now?
Dave Barnett: "Why not right now? Pelfrey's given up thirteen."
Tom Grieve: "Now's a good time for it, let's try it right now!"
Beltré hits ball to deep center
Dave Barnett: "Well, there it is!"

................some?
I wish you had got Bert Blyleven losing his mind after calling a Corey Koskie home run.
Lmao the silence after Donaldson at 2:15
That Mike one is scary
“He’s going to swing very hard at this” is hardly a homerun prediction.
JJ Hoover pitching with the bases loaded... hell, anyone could've predicted that lol
@2:47 and the last home-run are absolutely ridiculous.
2:18, R.I.P. Ace Ventura
Christian Gropper Damn... RIP Yordano and RIP José Fernandez. Still breaks my heart.
Greg Amsinger's live reaction to the Posey HR was hilarious (not shown). He kept waving his hands like a little kid in a candy store, LOL....
i have a really high success rate calling homeruns...
during the homerun derby 😎
6:37 I didn’t realize Richard Pryor made it to the bigs
Blowers call is legendary. You're missing another legendary one though. Frank Beckman, last game at Tiger Stadium talking about how Al Kaline called Robert Fick home run and then Fick goes boom.
As someone who plays fantasy baseball with Fick nowadays, I had no idea that clip existed. My guy tanked that.
Love the Skip Caray bit at the end!
4:07: Bad Spot For An Ambulance.
0:52, 4:48-4:51. that laugh by Harold Reynolds though, his laughter sounds like a dog or dolphin.
"Three words, Biff... Grays. Sports. Almanac."
Skip’s 6-4-3 call was savage
That first one: I had tweeted to Mark Grace and after he called that homerun I called him "Graciedomus". They mentioned me on the broadcast.
2:48 that might be the best call
I like the dbl play call at the end haha
Hanger into the bull pin was the best call. He knew the pitcher's count.
these are good but my favorite so far is when outfielders show off there arms and make diving cathes or infielders make a play deep in the whole or turn 2 like they could do it in there sleep
He was so nanchalant about that 6-4-2. Love it.
Dick Bremer the twins announcer calls a home run on every pitch just in case.
I need the reverse of this now. Announcer calls that don't come to pass or even go the complete reverse.
Smart video idea! I wouldn’t have thought of that

I called two dingers into the opponents bullpen. It’s an amazing feeling when you make a call.
Glad I stayed until the end. R.I.P. Skip Caray
3:17 As Pokey (from gumby) once said
Do a vid on homeruns near or hitting the pesky pole at fenway
so happy they ended with Chip Carey......man, I miss him.
bleacherreport.com/articles/230111-its-cocktail-hour-remembering-skip-caray
That last one was sooooo savage 😂
how do you even find all these clips
This just happened today May 23 2021 bottom of the 6th inning Angels vs A's game :)
2:47 this one is unbelievable
Guys name is actually Milton Bradley
The end😂
Can you do predicted homeruns fails
Ryan Levevbre playing announcer HORSE with that Moustakas homer.
love the ending 😂🤦🏽♂️
2:45 is that Bender??
The one for the Giants was my favorite one, it was on point
Dick Bremer calls so many home runs its crazy
First you are the best RUclipsr ever
Thanks I appreciate it
Can I get a shoutout in your next video
I wonder which wing Milton Bradley is sitting in now?
Do a vid of weak hitters hitting grand slams...or hitters hitting balls out of the ballpark
Good idea
Jarrod Dyson immediately comes to mind.
Can you do a video about people predicting home runs or plays, but getting them wrong?
Blower's predicted by far far far the best than Cy Young 511 wins or Bonds 763 homers
looks like he will hit a home run on ever at bat
awkward silence
That mariners one will always be a classic.
I would like to see all the missed home run calls where they say someone is going to hit a home run and they don’t.
3:34 well that sure was a blowout
hahahaha that double play!!! Savage af!
It would be amazing if you predicted exactly the homeruns distance and where ? It would land
This is my favorite thing ever
Man... Dick Bremer is on here 3 times
now time for a montage of predicted homeruns that never happened
0:25 i see a 3-0 swing
I am a huge Giants fan
Dick Bremer knows how to call it.
Chip at the end... ;( R.I.P.
6-4-3. Beautiful.
The first one is so casual
"aaalright good call."
The guy calling the Milton Bradley one has a great voice
That Donaldson blast wasn't so much called as it was jinxed.
Damn I miss playing baseball... nothing like knowing it's gone as soon as you make contact...
Man, that reds-pirates game was almost entirely empty.
Dick Bremer is a wizard!
