I must clarify that the reason you’d probably go two of the same treble in that circumstance, in spite of the odd double (D11), is because your opponent is on a very gettable checkout and you just want to maximise your chances of getting to a double in the first place. But yes, if you’d made the treble awkward with your first dart, you’d definitely switch to another treble rather than the bull because a treble bed is a much bigger target than the bull.
