"No, it'll definitely kill you but first it'll get you pretty high." A line with that much wit and comedy but delivered with the seriousness of a federal agent. Clark Gregg is exquisite at becoming his characters.
I want a show which is just Agent Caspar, Secret Service Agent Ron Butterfield and Admiral Fitzwallace solving mysteries in a calm and professional fashion
During, since he was an Agent of SHIELD in the 1990s. Besides, his last name is the first name of a friendly ghost. Given, Agent Casper seems a bit on-the-nose for a cover identity, but Coulson is a huge comics nerd, and Casper the Friendly Ghost was Harvey Comics' most popular character (followed by Richie Rich (think child Trump from opposite world (compassionate, nice, friendly), Hot Stuff the Little Devil (a toddler demon with an asbestos diaper and a sentient trident -- basically cutesy toddler Daimon Hellstrom) and Wendy the Good Little Witch (think cute, blond, 8-year-old Wanda Maximoff). I could see Coulson using that cover name as a geeky reference.
@@adamwilson7811 Reportedly it was. Favreau saw him in The West Wing. Colson was originally intended to be just that bit part in Iron Man. I can absolutely see the direction being "just do Casper, it's a bit part." But he was popular and got along real well with Robert Downey Jr so they kept bringing him back. Colson was very much a character who grew organically as the franchise was picking up steam.
@@KairamekAccording to Clark Gregg (per the terrific West Wing Weekly podcast), Jon Favreau actually hadn’t seen his _West Wing_ work when he cast him as Agent Coulson. In fact, his character wasn’t even yet called Agent Coulson when he was cast-the script merely said “Agent.” (You can hear the interview with Clark on the “Election Night” episode of the pod-Season 4, Episode 7.)
I never watched this show. Political shows don't appeal to me. However, when the President said that the take down would happen on his order only, that is something a good leader would say. To take full responsibility of what comes next on your decisions is a mark of good leadership.
West Wing isn’t really a “political” show. It’s a drama that just happens to be set in the White House. Obviously there’s politics involved just because of the nature of the show’s setting, but it’s not about politics.

After watching 5 of these videos it feels like The West Wing is really just "Clark Gregg Solves Crimes"

@@Bazookatone1 YES! Can it be somewhat in the style of Columbo?
“The internet has been a phenomenal tool for hate groups.” Prophetic words, Mr. Sorkin.
casper was a great character
“The internet has been a phenomenal tool for hate groups.” How prescient.
I like to think Coulson before he joined SHIELD.
I'm convinced now this role is why he got that one
Dude, it should absolutely be canon, that FBI Special Agent Michael Casper is just Coulson's cover...
