Sooooo happy to see builds of Revenge of the Flying Dutchman release. Never thought this of all games would get some old stuff see the light of day. Btw is it not possible to crouch for longer to get a higher jump in this version? I know it was in the final game
Very interesting to see how different this version was compared to the final build. I would’ve liked to see more levels and how those might’ve looked, if they were any different.
The guy who dumped this prototype was also given the CD containing the tech demo, but at the time he told me it was damaged and he had been unable to recover anything from it. There is a possibility he was lying, because he lied to me a lot and tried to screw me over, but it's likely lost. I do have screenshots at least. We are lucky he released this one publicly at all. The guy who dumped this has a horrible reputation in the games preservation community for being an information hoarder(among other things) and I tried giving him the benefit of the doubt but yeah he sucks 🙃 If me and some other people hadn't pushed him to release this build, he never would have.
