I really love that Sasha has gone from having an eating disorder to being able to say that she is proud of her brain, and that she's proud that she's smart and doesn't put such a high regard on being beautiful and thin anymore. That is growth from a strong character that I wish I could have seen when I was younger and dealing with the same issues. On top of that, my regard for Eureka has grown tenfold the moment she decided to be the better person and apologize, which is something rarely seen on drag race. As much as we like the drama and the queens who won't back down from what they say, it takes a lot of courage to approach the people you've hurt and tell them you're sorry.

The way Valentina looked at Sasha HURT ME. Because I know EXACTLY what that look means. It’s the look of seeing someone say exactly what you’ve been needing to speak up about but not having the courage. And realizing that it’s okay to speak about it. This out take made me fucking cry. I wish they would’ve kept this in. The fact that 3 queens in the same season spoke up about having an ED proves how common yet under represented eating disorders are. It could’ve helped so many people.

@@pgyall This year, I became single for the first time in almost 7 years. In those 7 years I dealt with the death of my mother and my best friend a week apart. They never tell you how grief and stress can PERMANENTLY change your metabolism. I gained 100lbs in less than a year, and while I was almost unhealthily thin then, I'm considered medically overweight now. I don't *look* too heavy, just "unfortunately shaped". In my own words, I'm pear/Roger Smith shaped. I've done really well since COVID to watch what I'm eating and to get some exercise, and I've lost about 20lbs since I was at my heaviest. But dating now is an absolute train wreck. I've been told that if I had more hair, I could pass for a bear or cub and be okay looking. If I was shaved dolphin smooth, I could be a good chub boy. I've been told my body is "disgusting", or "unfortunate", or "disappointing". I tried every diet my doctor told me to over the last few years, and what one thing is taken away, something else is too much. I don't even eat much, or eat too unhealthy. But I'm constantly shamed in the community. Or oddly fetishized, where guys want to get me fatter. Some guys have used it as a way to manipulate me, thinking I had lower confidence. I've literally had a guy tell me that he could do whatever he wanted to me because it was "obvious I let myself go". My ex never even noticed I gained weight. He was more focused on my personal growth after losing almost everyone I loved. It sucks because I know I'm a good person, and I'm worthy of love and I'm worth getting to know. But no one in my own community, it seems, will even allow me to try.

Although I feel terrible that Valentina is still struggling, it's nice to see someone being represented who is currently struggling with something. Idk, I just feel like all the time when people open up about stuff like this, it's always "I struggled with this, but I'm better now and everything's great." And although you're happy they are doing better, when you're struggling with it, it can make you feel almost inadequate for not overcoming it yourself yet.

In Valentina and Sasha’s case, they weren’t performing. Valentina wanted to share a vulnerable moment with the queens but Eureka had to go there. Overall just a bad timing. I think it's heavily ironic that this clip talks honestly and sensitively about eating disorders, yet ends with ru making a joke about binging.

i do applaud eureka for apologizing. was it wrong? yes. did she handle it well after? yes. but the vulnerability that sasha, shea, and valentina had was beautiful to watch.

Knowing that they didn’t always give queens enough money for food while on set makes this even worse.

This scene really concerned me because Willam had already stated previously how producers didn’t always respect cast dietary restrictions. So I’m genuinely concerned for cast members who battle with eating disorders when the health and diet of the overall cast is not a priority concern!

This season is very polished but I feel it's less entertaining as a few past seasons, It literally feels like 10 min of workroom, 5 min of runway and 2 min of lip sync???

it'll never not be funny that a few episodes later when alexis gets her feelings hurt over being fat shamed in the reading challenge everyone told her to calm down and get over it. i struggle with restrictive ED and even i understand the hypocrisy of these queens lmao.
