I love my mini raptors 😍 ❤️ 💕 They are so beautiful & all have characters of their own. They lay about 2 eggs a day. 🥰 I love hanging out, playing, petting & hugging them. Very smart little creatures & quick learners. ❤
My chickens moult. For 4 to 5 weeks when the feathers are in they lay again. Sometimes Just rid the coop of excess roos and the girls lay more. I allow 1 roo per coop.
The white chickens shown In the video are meat birds and generally don't lay eggs. They look like they're molting, but they have less feathers because they grow so fast.
If you let your chickens free range with access to dropped fruit, any plants in the pasture, bugs in the large animal manure and still provide layer feed (I provide 22%), with scratch grains, sunflower seeds, solder fly larva, and of course kitchen scraps… oh and heat lamps in the coop during winter… you will always have eggs! At the 3 year mark… they take a one way trip to the freezer.
@lindayurk4367 really?! Thank you!!!! 🙏💖 I will have to try this on my girls 🐔 😍 I thought I was giving them enough proteins. I guess I need to add more to their diet & not be afraid of overdoing it. 😅
Dude, I've got some advice for you. If you are going to focus on Amish practices, you should do better at limiting your clips to Amish people. Like the two men in your title shot are NOT Amish. Comments about your other videos vary from your being deceitful to the Amish are no different from the rest of us and this is Amish propaganda.
I give them leftover greens and veggies. And some other treats. Never had a problem during winter.

This type of content I dig for. Hope to see more of this.

We have an agreement. They feed me I feed them

In comershal hatcheries they make 2 day's into 3 by switching the lights off and on 3 times in 48 hours making 2 days 3 3 eggs instead of 2
Except we homesteaders/ backyard chicken owners don't want to abuse or wear out our hens.
My guess would be they walk up to the chicken and say. Lay more eggs or go on the dinner table
Cat food wet or dry is a great protein boost when going into the molt or fall.
Chickens are omnivores not herbivores.
So how do the Amish "stagger" the molting? I am sad to see you didn't reveal that secret...
And plastic over their housing area. They get cold and warm. It's good for them
Great show thanks for the tips❤
those chickens are so cute😊
Rip Mildred😢😢😢
They LOVE oranges
And water melons
Mine only turn their breaks up at potatoes

I let them have a rest. If you want more eggs get more chickens and save them for when they don't lay.. They're not machines.
YES! They are very ADHD. They love different things. They get bored easily and they don't lay if they are bored
They will eat the eggs raw if they crack
Insoluble Grit tiny stones for chicken gizzard's , or something says at 5:54 + ?.
I avoid any eggs at the grocery store claiming the chicken were fed a vegetarian diet. Free range (bugs, worms, weeds etc) eggs always taste better.
News for you bud. Chickens are in molt for about 3 months.
Yep. It's super crazy and sad to see. Breaks my heart. I'm such a softy when it comes to my girls, I tear up for them. Lol. 🤦♀️🤭🥴😂
I agree. But I pass by molt with adding a free choice high protein food like chick starter. I pass the molt up every year

@@lindayurk4367 you can't pass up the molt. It's going to happen no matter what you do.
Mine still side eye me 😅 they're still sassy and laying after a few years and I have bomb eggs
Leave a hatchet out and a soup pot
😢
