They do have romantic feelings in manga and anime too but they didn't have sexual relationship yet but that doesn't mean they won't have in future.. if only they had time. If only they had time and peace after everything they would have sexual relationship too but that doesn't change the fact that they have romantic feelings for eachother. They are literally in love with eachother. The fact that eiji didn't even resist or rejected ash kiss and the blushes in ambiguous sentences (scenes) and the look of love. Sing even says that 'they love eachother like lovers do and have soul to soul connection' and eiji doesn't even cut his hair after ash died because ash always touches his har and eiji says too 'he doesn't love anyone else again' after ash died. They may not be dating yet but that doesn't meant that they don't have a romantic feelings for eachother. My opinion is that they do have a romantic feelings for eachother, literally in love with eachother and there are many nuances in many little scenes says too.
