Dude, I thought the exact same thing when I first saw the scene. If I didn't know they were talking about Gwen I would've assumed stuff. Also, the fact that they never really mention Gwen in the convo. I noticed that they did this one more time in later seasons.

@@hackedy9834 I'm new to this fandom and have only actually watched the first season, but from the videos on this site, I get the impression that if Arthur and Merlin really did marry, nobody would mind except Uther. Everyone else would just congratulate them and go on with their day!
