@@rosanah.9089 so sorry i’m just seeing this now!! honestly a lot of my regular asmrtists don’t post book heavy content BUT i love gwengwiz book hauls!!! and sometimes if you look up a book you like and add “asmr reading” to it you may find a video (i know the whole fault in your stars novel is asmrified on youtube somewhere lol)
I'm on the edge of my seat to hear your thoughts on Beautiful World Where Are You and My Year of Rest and Relaxation!! (rewatching your older videos while working lol)
So excited to see how you feel about my year of rest and relaxation. I thought I was going to love it based on cover and synopsis and ended up despising if
I m reading beautiful world, where are you rn!!! I like it a lot :D I feel like the characters are so realistic and relatable, especially Alice. It all makes me feel less alone 🥰🌆
It’s been my New Years resolution to read at least 15 books this year and I already finished my first one. I read my year of rest and relaxation and I just bought Book Lovers by Emily Henry because of you!! They didn’t have any sally rooney at my Barnes and noble :/
I love your book videos!! Couldn’t agree more, Gillian Flynn was the catalyst for my thriller book obsession! My all time favourite thriller books are by Liz Nugent. I feel like you’d love lying in wait- it blew me away!
Girl you just made my tbr 2023 ten books longer, that can’t be fair. Jk, but anyway, you know I adore your book vids, the background is gorge, and so are you, you know I love ya, Colombian hugs! 😘💕 P.S. when I was like 14 I decided I wanted two little pieces of hair to like softly frame my face, so I cut them myself… When I tell you my hair looked like a sad troll, It wouldn’t even stay in a hairband
Ive read crescent city and I honestly wasn't the biggest fan of it, I rated it 3.5 stars so it wasn't BAD, I loved the characters and the story I just thought it was slow and the fantasy world was pretty complicated for me. However I LOVED ACOTAR so if you weren't the biggest fan of that series you might really enjoy crescent city instead! Ive watched I think all your book videos and I think you'll enjoy it more than ACOTAR based on the style you like!
at the end of the year you should do a recap and rate the books mentioned in this video (if you read them ofc) and talk about what you liked, disliked and maybe make a rank list or something… i feel like that would be so slay
if you have KU you should try Carissa Broadbent’s books! She has 2 series, one is completed and one has the first book out (and the second comes out soon). I devoured it in a couple days! It’s fantasy romance and it’s sooo good! The serpent and the wings of night especially 🔥🔥Also, CC is sooo good! The first half is a lot to take in but its worth it!! The second book is good too but not as much. I loved acotar the most but i think youll like cc more from watching your reading vlogs lmao 😂 And Babel is one of my fave books of 2022!!
RF Kuang as Taylor would say writes stories that are emotionally abusive 😭 the poppy war was incredible, it has one of the best female characters I’ve ever read but it’s just SO heart wrenching, still worth the read tho
Chris Kuzneski has a great thriller series, Payne and Jones. The first one is called The Plantation, highly recommend! It’s a 9 part series though mind 😂
I am a huge fan. I love thrillers - I’m U.K. based and hope you can get these books, But anything by LUCY FOLEY! You must read, Paris apartment is great and her next two most recents are myst reads ! Honestly you will not regret them xxx
was gonna put these in the discord but think you’d really enjoy the Knife series by RJ Anderson (YA fae romance that gives kinda cruel prince vibes) and for thriller recommendations I love The Special Ones by Em Bailey! I’m not a huge thriller reader but love love it. also I’m currently half way through the Song of Achilles and loving it ;)))
Amazing video!! I would be super interested to know your thoughts on Crescent City because it was a solid DNF for me 😅 I just really struggled to get through it and had to restart like 3 times 😭
I’ve just finished the ‘Southerners Book Clubs Guide To Slaying Vampires’ hmm was a good idea but I found the book quite slow and not enough vampire stuff but still an ok read. I downloaded a sample of ‘The Cruel Prince’ after watching your video, looks pretty good gonna give that a bash. Have you tried the fallen angel series by Lauren Kate? That’s really good. Also the Big Bad Wolf Romance series by Heather Killough-Walden. I loved those books!
i was so excited to read "my year of rest and relaxation" and when i finally did i ended up feeling a little disappointed :(( i expected the main character to be this relatable depressed girl, but she was so insufferable i could barely get through the book. i understand what the author was trying to say but this message was so obvious and repetitive idk. i mean it's not bad, it just wasn't what i expected so yeah. hopefully your experience w this book is gonna be better than mine !!
I've been loving this book content! Since you like fantasy and romance I want to suggest you a TV series, it's called 'the magicians' and it's about the discovery of a magic world and the story revolves around this magicians that go to a magic university I would love to hear what you think about it! in my country it's on Amazon prime video idk about the USA tho
you should read the silent patient by alex michaelides!!!! it’s a very similar psychological thriller to gillian flynn’s books with some agatha christie influence. you would love it.
Damn, I was 13 and in eight grade in the year 2000. It really does creep up on you, I was just 22 and now I'll be 36 this year. Enjoy it while it lasts!
If you haven’t read any Alice feeney, girl do it, She’s so good. I highly recommend you pick up His and Hers and Rock Paper Scissors both are so fucking good omg
despite Normal People being my favorite book and being a Sally Rooney stan, Beautiful World, Where Are You was personally a disappointment for me :( really excited to hear your thoughts though!!
She lies in wait by Gytha lodge....so so so good! I'm a busy mom of almost 3 kids soon...& pregnancy insomnia has me up all hours. I finished this in 2 nights. Definitely worth a google search & a buy :)
I read Warbreaker by Sanderson and loved the humor! I couldn’t finish Mistborn though. I couldn’t get into it. His writing style is just not for me. I prefer books written by women.
