History showed us over and over that the biggest hurdles empires had to face is the various rebellions in far away regions that pop from times to times. Whatever the time or place, we observe the same thing happening. Are rebellions in bigger empires unavoidable? What would you say is the best way to deal with them, diplomacy or military? Comment and let us know down below 👇👇
I honestly believe that the ONLY way to prevent rebellions in a large empire is for the people to be governed by Islām. Why do I say that? Because rebelling against the Muslim ruler is forbidden, and doing so will risk your position in the next life. That's it. Muslim rulers will have a huge incentive in funding the Da'wah. Even non-Muslim rulers will benefit from more Muslim citizens.
@@ok00001this is a very good point brother. Islam is the uniting factor. Tribalism and ethnocentrism is the unfortunate reality that still exists to this day
Why would any Muslim praise the Khawarij, when the Prophet described them as the dogs of hell (Sunan Ibn Majah 173)? Instead, we value the Imazighen who conquered al-Andalus, established the Almoravid empire, united the Taifas, and brought Islām to the Western Sahel and beyond. Those noble scholars, warriors and merchants are the ones worthy of praise. To be clear, pagans shouldn't be praised either. It would've been sufficient to say that the Bujah/Bejah were shrewd rebels.
Absolutely agree about the noble Almoravids. And this is by no means a praise of the Pagans of the Bujah. Rather a description of the rebellions at the times of the Abbasids. Just like they are depicted in our classical history books.
@@vattoxonfire1278 The Almohads had a lot of deviance in their Aqīdah. Perhaps the biggest consequence of their deviance is the failure to embrace King John after he offered to convert himself and all of England in exchange for some aid. Maybe it wouldn't have changed much of history. Maybe it would've ended just like al-Andalus. But still, we shouldn't reject potential Muslims.
