    I don't know of anyone who still eats it here but when I was a kid a lot of the old people ate Herring Roe. Poor man's caviar .

    Poor man caviar.... lol Fried catfish roe is OK. But eating it raw like salted caviar is definitely a big NO, NO.....

      I prefer my eggs cooked, no matter what kind of egg it is...lol
      Caviar is not raw eggs, it salt-cured eggs.

    Good morning Paul. Another one of the things I haven't tried yet fish roe. Green eggs well of course I think Green Eggs and Ham. The food police should have fun with this one. 😁 Have a great evening. Best wishes Bob.

      Fish eggs are a rich people food, you should give it a try, just to see how rice people live... don't think they would pan fry them though...lol

    What type of cat fish did those eggs come from. I've cought Chanel catfish with orange eggs also common carp wondering if they were edible.

      These are from walking catfish. I think all fish eggs are good to eat, if you can eat the fish, should be no issue eating the eggs.

    Well, these certainly aren't Dr. Seuss green eggs . They may be tasty but (no offense)..they do resemble turds. :-) You are much more daring with food than I am and I admire that. My neighbor, just down the street grows wonderful veggies. I bought some giant heads of cabbage from him and went on line to learn how to preserve them for soup and slaw and steamed, as a side dish. A bit of work but well worth it. While on line I learned how to preserve celery as well. Next on my list is freezing berries. Oh my gosh..just looked out the window and it's snowing. It won't last, thank goodness.

      @Phyllis 4466, would you mind sending some of those cold temperature down here? We're having temperature of mid 80F @ 8:00AM for the past three weeks now :)

      lan2me I'd be happy to send some cool air. I've lived many years in warm/hot climates to decide that I still like the change of seasons. Winter is a bother but 2-3 months of snow can be tolerated, knowing what comes later.

    • @catfishkitchen4203
      @catfishkitchen4203  4 года назад

      lol, not nice saying my delicious food looks like turds...
      You can have your snow, rain here today, and it has cooled down a lot, can actually do things now. been going hard in the garden, starting to look nice now.
