I always liked using an old DigiTech Bass Synth Wah as an octaver. But the OC-2 sounds so lovely. owo
I know you guys are diehard OC-2 guy...but I'm personally really pleased with my MXR BOD. This is the only video I've seen where the OC-2 and the MXR BOD are being compared head to head. The MXR does certainly has its own sound and holds it own against the other pedals.
I like mine too.
I have just bought MXR. Fantastic pedal!
I use the MXR Slash Octave Fuzz. Sounds great on bass
What about EHX Micro POG?
Nice review. Juan, have you tried the EHX Octave Multiplexer?
I have an OC-2 with the "octaver label and the MXR. I think they're birth great and not surprisingly, I thought they sounded the best of the four pedals in this video, although I'd still like to try an OctaBass. You can never have too many pedals, variety is the spice of life.
What do you like better the oc-2 or oc-3
Juan, I'm thinking about the rehab of those pedal, I mean:
should i go for OC-2 or the MXR one?
Know, OC-2 its hard to find and they are getting very old, so I'm worried about one of those pedal broke in my hand.
MXR still in production i think, so still have technical assistance. What do u guys think??
I think EHX Octave Multiplexer is the best way to get synth sound on bass. Mxr sounds like it need more gain between bypass sound
Personally, I've never been into octavers on bass. Even though the Ampeg is one-dimensional, it's the first octave sound that I actually enjoyed and see myself using quite regularly.
I liked the MXR.
I love my octoplus. Having also owned an oc2 I prefer the dod. I don’t miss the sub octave and the dod is louder.
I own the OC-2 Octaver, had the MXR, both great pedals.
But boy that Octoplus is sounding amazing.
Just my 2 cents, but when I had both an oc-2 Octave and Octaver, i a/b'd them
I heard zero difference.

"when I had both an oc-2 Octave and Octaver, i a/b'd them
I heard zero difference." If there is it is so subtle I'm not sure it can qualify as a difference ~ ruclips.net/video/LKQUaIEoW_A/видео.html
I have a Japanese Octaver OC-2 from 1983 & a Japanese Octave OC-2 from 1987... they sound identical. There IS a subtle difference between the Japanese & Taiwanese Octave OC-2's though
dod octoplus, i like it here on video, flexible and nice sounding. thnks for video, gentlemen!
DOD Octoplus IMO underrated octave pedal...sounds great....I have it and the OC 2..
Wait, the meat box reissuing? WHAT!
Janel is funky as fuck innit
Janek, obvs
would’ve loved to see the meat box in here

The mid switch on the MXR is awful! Not even a click - a full boom! Sounds great though... (once switched on!) :)
Ebs octabass for ultimate tracking and fidelity or DOD meatbox to destroy brains.
headphones, warning low bass. I wish I could be playing with all of those babies.
