I love textured glass in cabinets. Large non divided sinks. Neutral tile backsplashes.
The digners is so right. Growing up the kitchen was the go to place when we had visitors. There are very many nice ideas; back splash can really make a kitchen pop!!

I'm a big fan of a dark color scheme but i always recommend to consider the amount of light in the space before using it. About matte, i'm obsessed, i love it!!

Matte finishes look awesome but are usually hard to clean. You have to be careful about using them in a kitchen or bathroom.

Thanks for a great video! What's a smart way to 'build in' a wet dish drying area next to the sink? Is it a flat but sloping piece of marble? Is it a grated steel surface with holes to sink? Or something else?

Hi Carherine, Thank yo very much! Answering your question, of course you can use it, everything depends on your taste. Particularly I like the combination of black matte with gold accessories because they bring warmth to the space, its appearance is very elegant and contemporary.
If you use polished nickel for the faucet I recommend you to select similar hardware, not necessarily the same color but at least the same type of finish, Mixing metals is also in trend. ;)
I love your channel so much. I'm in the process of buying a new apartment and I'm excited about planning the renovations. My style is more contemporary/traditional. Do you have content on bathroom design, particularly small bathrooms and separate small bath and powder rooms?

Modern terrazzo is beautiful and makes special touch, but I prefer timeless marble because it can’t be old with the time and match with every style and any time

I've watched several of your videos, they're fantastic. I've been attracted to neutral colours for years but I had no idea they evoked so much. I kindly ask that you do a video like this and the one you've done for kitchens, for the living room area seeing as it's where a lot of people spend their time and use to entertain guests and also the hallway.

First of all you are absolutely adorable. Thank you for this video. Ill definitely use some tips. Id like to ask you what you think about using mirrors in the kitchen. I was thinking about putting in 20×20 cm gold tinted mirrors with beveled edges as the backdrop behind the counter to make it look classy and mostly to complemet the dark grey color of the counters. What do you think about this idea? Also i really like the style of the said mirrors so if you would not put it the way i just described how and where in the house would you incorporate that? Also if you think it is a good idea to put this on the wall behind the counter what would in your opinion be the best material for the counter?

Your choice of dark with wood tones is interesting. I'm redoing my kitchen and wanted gray base cabs with off-white wall cabs but wanted to use natural teak end panels. Was told that seemed weird and wouldn't look right.

Hello, I have a black granite countertops and blacksplash. My kitchen is u shape with part of the u as a long countertop with a few upper cabinets. My question to you is that I would love to paint my cabinets. I don't know if to paint them taxido style or should I stay with safe color through out the kitchen. My house is an open concept design. Also, I am at a loss of what color to use. I was thinking cream upper cabinets with dark brown or sage green lower cabinets. I have stainless steel appliances. Thank you for helping me decide.
What about bar stools? I am wondering what you’d recommend for an open kitchen looking into a living room. Bar stools with backs is what I think I want, but not sure what is best! Have matte black fixtures and white cabinets with Carrera marble and matte black backsplash.

Hi. I loved your video. What are ways to incorporate that wood element in a dark kitchen? My home is open concept with white walls and light natural floors. I have no shelving and no glass cabinets just the basic solid cabinets. I do have a waterfall island with colored barstools.

Rest of the house will have ash/grey flooring so would like to keep same tone in kitchen. What would you suggest for the wall colour (rest of the house is matte white), backsplash and the kitchen top to give a good contrast?

Hi Boris, Thank you very much for your comment. I always say that to use a dark color palette we must make sure we have a space with enough natural light, if your space doesn't have enough natural lighting it's not a good idea to use dark colors.
If you want to use it, use a dark color for some specific element, light colors are those that will help you make the most of natural light. The conditions of the space is what will tell you which one is ideal color to use. Remember: Lighting quality is one of the most important things in interior design!

Use lots of ceiling recesses lights. Led dimmable.
