I had McAfee antivirus blocking Google Chrome for some reason!
Deleted McAfee and problem solved
Thanks for this, in addition to disabling antivirus for those of you who still get the aw, snap message try to run the Chrome App in windows 7 or 8 compatibility mode. a quick google search should help you with how to do it.

Hey dude! Just wanted to let you this this method still works in 2021. I have been having issues with chrome doing this to me. Was searching on RUclips to see how to fix and resolve this issue. I did the same thing you did in the video step by step and it clean my chrome and works again. Thanks!

For those of you who still get the aw, snap message try to run the Chrome App in windows 7 or 8 compatibility mode. It’s just a few clicks I’m working on a video on how to do this but a quick google search should help you with how to do it.
It doesn’t have the aw snap it just has a white blank screen and a tab above if that says crashed with a :( face

for the PEOPLE who DOESNT want your bookmarks erased completely and didn't SYNC your chrome, the part where he click "remove browser data" @2:40 DONT CHECK IT!!! click next and just erase everything else on the first part and @3:26 look for 2 folders that says "BOOKMARK" anything that says bookmark DONT CHECK IT and erase everything else and your chrome should be good with you bookmarks (^_^)

I started to get status_access_violation while using Chrome. I noticed when I am watching a RUclips video while the window is maximized, it would happen more often, starting with video sound quality becoming bad and then crashing. Same was happening with Edge and Firefox. I tried all solutions but nothing seems to help. This started happening after I moved my PC parts into a new case. Not sure if that's the actual reason or coinsidence

For me chrome works fine, except only when I try to open the bookmark manager is when I get the ad snap error

Click the three dots on top right and then click . More tools --> extensions.
Turn off unwanted extensions that are affecting the chrome.

Hey friend what do i do if I Have only safari which doesnt want to work and crashed chrome?
My Chrome is randomly crashing, even when im not actively using it. If I have a large number of open tabs, they show-up in my history so I can restore all the tabs automatically when Chrome restarts. Will this installer nuke that history or can I still recover my list of open tabs?

This happened to me, my parents thought it was a virus but my chrome extensions crashing for no reason, had they let me explain it was fine and nothing was crashing before, they wouldn’t be getting worried lol

When Google Chrome won't launch it is running elsewhere on your computer. Bring up Task Manager by pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL at once . Select Task Manager You'll see the list of Programs running . STOP any processes that say CHROME. I had to stop 2 Google Chrome tasks . After stopping the activity Google Chrome launches normally..

Tried this after windows update again caused chrome to immediately crash, did not work for me. I am very unhappy with these broken updates from Microsoft.

I did It the other way. Updated from then windows because my thinking was the window's update would fix the Chrome load crashing 😭 it's going to be unusable for a while
And a follow up. I've resolved my issue by downgrading.

when I open chrome my laptop opens a website that I used to use immediately without me searching it. Can someone help me remove it? it has made my laptop very laggy.
