Doctors need to do these procedures under anesthesia!!! This is barbaric! No man would do this! I’m complaining to the board or whoever. Too many women are suffering to save themselves from disease and its not right!!!😡😡😡😡
Totally agree!!!!!
Right?!!!...always one painful experience to another 😢...too much!!
I agree totally
I'm going to have to watch this again. I cant get over your hair! LOVE IT
I just found your channel I am getting ready for my saline ultrasound. Thanks so much you have easy my mind. You gave me hope on my TTC JOURNEY!!
This was incredibly helpful!! Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing your experience!❤
You are a trooper!! I would have said she can’t experiment on me anymore she had her one chance- she blew it!!
Great update. Definitely a thorough experience and realistic which I like; let’s me know what I should come to expect. I don’t know if I could have been a gracious as you with those “teaching” moments lol. Looking forward to the randomness. I always like your content and you have a variety to put out. I would like to see your husband’s perspective on things if and when he’s ready to be on cam. You baby is coming. Here’s to hoping it happens for you before you even get to April. 🤞🏽✨🙌🏽
Thank you! I try to share as much as I can remember lol I will definitely recommend taking something a tad bit stronger than motrin if you need a HSG because that was something else even though the discomfort doesn't last long. I've been trying to get some videos done with him but work just takes up all of his energy. I'm praying about these babies girl!
Great update and you're an amazing story teller. Oh and LOVE the hair. How is Dion? I'd love to see newer or older vlogs.
Thank you girl! Dion is doing ok I shared him in the latest vlog I posted today lol
Let me preface by saying we all will have different experiences and one shouldn’t feel bad if they did bode well with a procedure. I feel so validated watching this. I just had mine done and I could not tolerate it! I have endometriosis and I’m usually very sensitive with a speculum but I had an HSG done before and it was just uncomfortable. This. THIS! Omg. I cried like a baby and begged them to stop and pull it out. No fibroid or polyp but not much else assessed they said because I was intolerant. 😩🙁
This have been very helpful and detailed! Thank you 😊
I'm so happy you found this helpful! Thank you for watching!
“I wanted to smack her!” 🤣. I have mine coming up and am anxious.
Thanks for the video! It really helped me be prepared for my test!
“Between my crack” has me in tears lol!!!!! You poor thing. 😭😭😭
Amen sister... it was the most painful thing I ever experienced. You hit it on the head!
LOL It was painful and I pray that I never need it again.
Seriously. HSG was BAD. I gave birth a year later without a epi and would rather give birth. I have a FemVu Monday not the dye HSG so hope not as painful 😖
I just got mine done . Glad it’s over . Yes it hurted and I could feel everything
Thanks for sharing your experience!
I had mine done today and it was definitely uncomfortable but not so painful. Took Aleve one hour and a half before the procedure.
Everybody is different 🤷🏻♀️
I pray that God continues to bless you on your journey...continue to stay postive!
Thank you so much for the prayers I appreciate it and I am trying to keep up a very positive vibe, it's keeping me going!
Got mines done today and I got myself all worked up because I thought it was gonna painful but it wasn't painful to me.. but I think it wasn't so painful because I told 1000mg of ibuprofen a hour before the procedure. I recommended you do. But I will say it was a little discomfort but not painful
YOUR REACTION WAS LITERALLY ME JUST NOW!! OMG 😭😭😭 Definitely an experience, freaking speechless 😐
OMG I'm sorry! I hope I never have to get it again.
Love_Taunya hahaha right?! It was so wild 🤦🏽♀️ I’ve heard from a bunch of my coworkers that they prefer Child Labor over the HSG 😂
Oh wow! That's crazy lol they really should figure something else out with that procedure.
thank you so much for sharing your experiences I really needed to see this!
Gid bless you, hoping everything went well
Thank you for being open. I was looking into freezing my eggs but it seems like it might never happen. I'm in my late 30's and did a HSG and they saw that one of my fallopian tubes was blocked along with a small fibroid in my lining that was picked up by my organ, and now I need to follow up sonohysterogram tommorrow. Something that I thought was simple as fresubg my eggs has become a world wind of emotions. Ugggh
Glad you were your own advocate! Sometimes I really dislike these doctors.
I just found your channel and this was very helpful information!
I’m also ttc but it seems like I’m getting no where, my doctor first thought I had endometriosis because I had a small cyst on one of my ovaries and so than they sent me to do a bunch of a blood work and a saline ultrasound.... just to find out that everything is okay I asked if the the cyst was still there and it wasn’t, just to wait another two weeks to see what the doctors plan is...
I haven’t started any fertility treatment other than clomid from my gynecologist and in total for two consultations and a saline ultrasound, paying all of this out of pocket is already $900....
Hi Michelle! Welcome to my channel! I'm sorry that you have to experience this ttc is very stressful especially when you have to pay out of pocket for it. I pray everything works out soon for you!
i just had one 2 days ago and i CRIED. i knew it would hurt and that they were going to downplay how it would feel. (im a 20 year old virgin) i have high prolactin levels and hypothyroidism which made my pain worse. i cried literally the entire day because it hurted to the point that i couldn’t even walk or stand. and i felt so violated. even still today i feel weird about it and im still leaking salt water.
Thank you so much for your video. I'm about to go in for a saline ultrasound and I've been nervous because the HSG was to me, a worse pain than childbirth. Actually, it felt like labor to me and it was awful. I did have polyps and fibroids removed. I had numerous polyps to the point that there couldn't be any implantation and now I'm waiting to see if my polyps have come back.
Thank you! For watching and wishing you good luck on your journey!
Just had my hsg done two days ago." No pain, no cramping thank God "🙏
Are your tubes open?
@@realitycorner3365 yes both are opened. Sorry about late response.
Ok ok I'm focused. You have such a testimony and your baby will have a story prior to birth. Truly an inspirational journey
Thank you! The hair took me a min to do but I got through it lol!
I just got this done last week and I totally agree! Idk why they say it’s “crampy”. Mine was excruciating I yelled at them to stop the test because I was at my pain tolerance and was about to pass out.
This!!!! Same! When they let my husband in I was sweating, red & had tears all over my face 😂
This test was really painful. I almost fainted.
Same
I totally agree with you.i dont know the reason why it happened to me as well
Wow. I fainted. Was sweating profusely and barley could move after. My body went into shock and I didn’t expect it
I just got mine done on Friday. It was painful, but only for 10 minutes
I JUST had my HSG test done, and it was absolutely nothing like I imagined! I had gotten all worked up from the prior videos and comments I read, so I was a mess! I took 800mg of Ibuprofen one hour prior (as instructed) My Physician came in and told me he was going to use Lidocaine to numb up the cervix, and in two minutes I was looking at the contrast dye flow through my Fallopian tubes!! I didn’t feel ANYTHING! And just like that the procedure was over!! My doctor is great, he said “please go and write reviews and tell others to tell their physicians to use Lidocaine so their experience will be more pleasurable!” And so here I am trying to spread the word!! Slight bleeding afterwards, so you’ll definitely need a sanitary napkin, but nothing horrible like what I had seen!!
It probably wasn’t that bad because it went through your tubes. Both my tubes are completely blocked so that shit hurt so bad lol. But you’re right everyone is gonna be different.
@@Allysonxpaige not true! One of my tubes was completely blocked and I didn’t feel a thing. Sorry your experience wasn’t the best, but the lidocaine definitely works!!
@@lakeapatterson6625 my doctor didn’t give me anything lol.
Thank
lucky you
I had this done like 9 years ago, and it was the worst experience that I've ever had, before the appointment they mentioned take 2 tylenol 1/2 to an hour prior the appointment, those tylenols pills didn't work at all, the dye they used literally feels like you are being burned, besides that it felt like someone is pulling or twisting your organs inside out, I fainted, to me that whole situation lasted an eternity. I'm not a whiner, I have high pain tolerance.
Just had my sono today and it was the worst pain I’ve never had in the past 30 years. I thought I had high tolerance for pain, and I took Advil before. It was the sharp pain when they inserted the catheter. I tried to take deep breathe but because the pain my body was nervous, I couldn’t. My hands and legs were all numb. I couldn’t hold on to anything. The nurses thought I was going to faint. I took two more tablets of Tylenol and after 20 minutes I finally felt better. I didn’t know I can take this much pain!
I cried immediately. They down play the pain at all. She goes oh you have lots of tattoos you’ll be ok. Ma’am you lying because i almost died lol! Also both my tubes were blocked, so they say it does hurt more if they are blocked.
So please have you tried to open it ??
I’m glad I didn’t watch any videos before I had mine done. I didn’t feel anything but I did take 900mg of ibuprofen an hour before. Now later that night and the next day I felt so bloated! Like, I couldn’t stand up straight bad. But the 3rd day I was good. No infections either.
Omg i had the exact same symptoms !!!!
OMG! I’m mad I looked at this and read the comments. I receive mine in the next few weeks. I didn’t think it was painful. 🥴😩😢
SHG was the worst pain I’ve ever felt. Doctor is now wanting me to do HSG i don’t even think i can bear that pain.
I love your channel!! I'm TTC'ing too. I'm praying for you. Hope to stay connected!
Aww Thank you so much! I appreciate your prayers and support! Please let me know if you start documenting your journey so I can keep up. Good luck to you girl! #ourbabiesarecomingin2019
@@LoveTaunya thank you thank you for replying!!! I started a new page. Righteous Mommy! ruclips.net/channel/UCWh_wjhZTi8rqTt5J95nwtA
I had mine done yesterday and for me it wasn’t bad. The speculum was a little uncomfortable but just thinking contractions are going to be worse.
Got sono done today and after getting home (within an hour) I experienced severe pain and I’m still in pain but I’m better when lying down on one side. I felt very little pain during the sono and was able to walk back home but now I’m really seeing the side effects. Also I’m nauseous every time I get up
Hope it gets better soon. I don’t take ibuprofen or Tylenol in general so I didn’t take it before or after the sono either.
Update: the pain lasted for about 4 hrs or so and I feel much better on day 2. No bleeding so far
Praying for you
I just wanted to come on to let some women know that my test was PAINLESS. All I did was take 2 extra strength ibuprofen and I literally didnt feel a thing. My radiologist was great. The worst part was inserting the speculum. I read tons of comments on youtube and started to get nervous about the pain, but I truly didnt feel ANYTHING. So ladies, all people are different and perhaps your experience will not be painful. Also, I had no cramping or bleeding afterward. I got my test on day 5 of my cycle and my results came back in my favor. Fallopian tubes clear! I did the test as part of my pre-conception planning. Cheers to everyone! (I promise you it didnt hurt. Just take some otc motrin and you should be fine)
Thank you for sharing! ❤️
Maybe because yours wasn’t blocked. Mine hurt and I took ibuprofen
I do my test tomorrow, I hope your right. Thanks for the tip
Hampton Roads Native here!!❤️ I’m from Chesapeake but live in California now.
Hey girl Hey! I miss living in California so much please enjoy the sun for me. We have been back in VA for almost 2 years now and I am sick of all of this rain lol
Love_Taunya 😂 and we’re over here begging for rain!
I had mine lastweek no pain at all.
Omfg 🤬 yes it was traumatizing for me as well now I have to get another one smh 🤦🏼♀️ but I asked my doctor for Valium to relax me I know I need something flat out
My sonohysterogram was the most painful and traumatic experience, I had to do it again under local anesthesia. When you have a sensitive cervix then you will be in so much pain.
I hope I never have to get it done again!
Glenna i got my SHG today and literally thought i was going to pass out. I need an HSG because i have a block and I’m requesting anesthesia
Julia Castelot You probably have a sensitive cervix like me. The doctor suggested to do local anesthesia but if it doesn’t work an anesthesiologist was on standby during my second SHG. Luckily during embryo transfer, I didn’t feel any pain.
@@jmurph1234 thank god it’s not just me.
I had the sonohysterogram done yesterday and I begged for anesthesia wks prior and was told no, it is the worse pain that I have ever experienced now they want me to get the HSG because the balloon kept deflating and they could not get it where it needs to be smh...it is not like any cramps I have ever felt mich worse, I told them that I felt like I was going to fall out smh
Just got mines done today and I have a high pain tolerance and it was not as bad as I thought. No pain at all. Just felt like liquid being flushed through my tubes. Lol
I got this procedure done Today I was reading comments online and I Freaked out I seriously was so nervous but GIRLS just take 2 Advils 1 hour before the procedure you wont feel ANYTHING at all it helped me alot and relaxed my body was just little discomfort and light bleeding after ur done, dont be scared you will be ok 👍
How much mgs of Advil?? Will brufen not effective??? I also had to go for it😕😓
@@diyahshandmade9676Both Advil and Motrin are the brand names of the same medication ibuprofen. I took ibuprofen 800mg one hour prior to my HSG and it did NOT help at all with the INTENSE, acute pain I experienced during the procedure. I do believe that premedicating helped minimize the post procedure uterine cramping. When it really comes down to it, everyone's body responds differently to the procedure. I read a statistic that 58% of women experience none to mild cramping and discomfort, and 42% of women experience severe discomfort and pain during an HSG. It seems unpredictable for who will experience which end of that pain spectrum. For that reason, I honestly believe all women should receive some form of local anesthetic at the bare minimum for the procedure. No woman should have to tolerate 10/10 pain, even if it is just for 5-10 minute timeframe, during any medical procedure or testing when modern medicine has solutions to help minimize the pain.
My pain was severe I cried once I got home but it eased the next day
I did mine today and I cried there, couldn't hold it until I got home
Just had my done very very pain 😢 😴 😭 it was pain to get the rest the person couldn't do it so another person did . And all the ladies see my area my I very painful felt like someone was stabbing me . I hate they tell you turn I felt the worst pain ever I was embarrassed ever body see parts . But it work out ever is normal
I had a Colposcopy (cervical biopsy) and need to book an appointment for this.. I don’t know if I can do it. I passed out while getting dressed after the Colposcopy. I have never felt so much pain.
Don’t be afraid
I had this done yesterday
I was soooo scared
I even told the doctor that
And the full thing was like 5 minutes
And I had no pain at all
However after cramping, I’m still cramping so give yourself a couple days to recoup.
I SCREAMED During this exam omgaaa!!!
It was painful! I hope I never have to do it again
Thanks for sharing sis
No problem 😊
I cried 😒😒 and asked them to stop. The biopsy was horrible.. and the saline was worst 😔😔😔.
Thank you for sharing
Thanks for watching!
for me it was torture 1 hour to find my cervix and after finding it they could not pump the dye😣 i was in pain. I do not want to go throught again... but My dr said i need this done for IVF. I dont know what to do its traumatic to go again through the pain and the days after are horrible too. The dr said ahe will put me to sleep next time she does this presidure! has anyone had it done with anesthasia what were the side effects and if they feel anything/pain afterwards? pleaee help.
I had mine and I was in SO MUCH pain! It was awful!
So sorry you had to go through that pain... I agree it was terrible!
Teresa Martinez yes I did mine 2weeks ago was painful
Oh I feel like I’m going to pass out 😮 I get mine done on January 7th 2021 oh I’m scared but excited
Hopefully it won't be too bad for you! Good luck!
Girl I get mine on the 4th I’m scared too now!
Guess I was lucky it was uncomfortable but not that bad for me
I’m waiting for my period to come in the next few days so I can schedule my appointment. The first time they attempted the HSG my cervix wouldn’t open. This time around I have to have my cervix dilated and I’m so scared for that.
They told the same thing.I ain't doing it again..no matter what
I had an HSG test today and I had the same results. I was told my tubes are clear but it could either be a air bubble or a polyp. So I’m praying it was just an air bubble. My husband and I are on a long a complicated TTC journey as well. I’ve been diagnosed with PCOS and it’s causes me issues with my cycle and ovulation. Prayers for you and your husband on this journey.
Hi! Thank you so much for watching! My journey has been something else but I know it will all work out! I pray you don't have any polyps, and your baby comes soon! Thank you for the support! #ourbabiesarecoming
im the same way
Girl.. now I feel like a baby, I had a saline sonohystergram today and it HURT. Tomorrow is my HSG... I am nervous
Which was worse?
Girl I had one done today 😩😫😭I cried the burning hurts the cramps hurts 😫
It is intense! Hopefully you feel better soon.
@@LoveTaunya yes u got pregnant yet
Guhhh I scream when you say they put the speculum through your crack🤣🤣🤣🤣 I remembered at my pap smear the tramp pinch my ass cheeks with the speculum Guhhh I was mad. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 glad everything was ok. Good luck my darling.
LOL girl I was like wait a minute do you have to sit it there though... smh. It was so uncomfortable! I'm happy everything was good too! Thank you for watching and supporting!
Love_Taunya I know exactly what you mean🤣 like they do to much Imagine it getting pinched😣
I did HSG and SIS the same day. I feel nothing for the HSG so I feel I can do SIS soon. BUT THEN SIS SUCKS.....I WILL NEVER DO IT AGAIN!
Oh wow! The HSG was the worst for me however, it didn't last too long but I never want to do it again. Good luck to you!
I had a horrible experience it was the worst experience I’ve ever experienced!!!!
I just had my HSG on Monday my right tube is wide open 🤗🤗. I don’t have a left tube do to an ectopic pregnancy. I am on day 3 after the test I am still having some brown discharge did anyone had it?
I had spotting for 4 days :)
Aimee Houghton
Oh ok, I had spotting and a brown discharge for 4 days my RE told me it was normal.
Yes I had spotting as well
I thought HSG and saline sonohysterogram were the same thing?? My dr is going to do a Saline sonogram. Thats what she said, she didnt give me an exact name for my procedure: she was like ‘Its a sonogram where we’lll put a saline solution. Pretty quixm’ now im freaking out 😣😣
No they're different but the Saline test is much easier and not as painful just a little discomfort like a mild cramp. Good luck to you!
The shg for me was more painful then the hsg
I got the shg too and it wasn’t that bad but was uncomfortable as well
💖💖❤🙋🏾♀️
Heeyy! Thank you for watching!
I felt exactly like you 😖😖
It was a painful test and I hope I never need it again.
Love_Taunya girl to much for a day you’re a warrior 🌹🌹
Thank you!😘
Hello I had mine done last Friday so after that my vagina mucus very different White lil crums I don't understand why do u think it's from the test
Hi! It is possible that something used could have changed your cm, I would follow-up with your doctors to confirm that nothing else is going on though. Good luck! Thank you for watching!
How is this pain allowed? People go under local anesthetic for less
Your after hsg test how many takes months you get pregnant
I wonder this too
I did mine in 2017. Took 3 months after.
For me both was traumatic
I can understand that its such a sensitive area
@@LoveTaunya My doctor told me that I have to do it again because previously my cervix did not open much so they couldn't complete the procedure. It's really making me panic that I have to go through that again :(
Girl I had mine it was soo uncomfortable and crampy the procedure wasn’t too bad but afterwards i was sore the rest of the day. Your tech seemed annoying, mine was too she had the nerve to show me a 3D ultrasound of a baby before the procedure “like look at my friends baby I did the ultrasound it’s so cute” meanwhile I’m over here trying figure out wth wrong with me I tell you it’s soo hard to get good service. Whoosahhh BLM
So painful! They lie about the pain!!!!
I've had 2 now and this first which was the one discussed in this video was very painful but my second one I didn't feel anything at all
How long it take you u be pregnant after sonograms done??
7 months
Did u use any fertility medicine after that
You should say stop to this person as she has no experience
