Love the card loved the chit chat and most definitely agree with your thoughts. I suffer from depression and find going into my craft room really helps even if it’s only for a clean and tidy up, which inevitably leads to a thought and a new card is created. Thank you Marta for all your help and support love V xx

I started crafting / card making to have a hobby that I could do to help with my sanity after I had to stop working due to health issues . It has cost me a fortune as sadly I do not have true creativity in me . I watch clever professionals like yourself and then buy what i need and then by the time i have received them I have forgotten what i was going to,do with them . However , I still believe it’s cheaper than therapy and definitely more enjoyable . Thank you for showing your beautiful card x

Thank you so much, Angela. I am happy that you enjoy my videos and I encourage you to have a little bit more faith in your skills and give yourself a bigger credit. There are some days when none of us know what to create and you should never feel bad about it. Just start slowly, look up on your own Stash instead of spending more money into new things. I’m sure that once you start organising your own crafty bits you will start coming up with more and more ideas how to use them. I also recommend you to look back on the project which you really love and you were proud of once you complete themand try to re-create something in the very similar vibe or shape this will instantly lift up your mood and boost your creative energy. I am sending you big hugs and I wish you a fabulous day my friend ❤️

All of the points you shared are totally valid! I sometimes think it takes me so long to make a card... but it takes me a half hour just to get to a store to buy a card... which costs not just the price of the card, but the cost of gas to get there and additional costs because, having driven that far, I'm going to look around and pick up other items!!! 😅 My granddaughters craft with me, and we are making awesome memories every time we work on our projects, and we truly encourage one another as we push the limits and learn new skills. Being creative, in any form, is great therapy, so it's a valuable resource for that reason alone. ❤ But mostly, I make cards for others because it brings so much joy to my soul, and then to theirs!!!
Thank you for all the talent and creativity you share with us!!!

When I started this craft in 2011 I never thought I would be able to do cards, boxes or flowers as I've been able to as of the last 4 years. I started it to cope with what life was throwing at me and my Mum of whom I took care in all aspects. She loved seeing what I was creating and growing in the process. Wish she was still with me as she passed away on 9 March 2024 at the age of 86 years and I miss her every day, especially when I've accomplished something new such as recently the hat boxes for hat easle cards. She would've loved it. Loved the chit chat Marta and thank you for sharing.❤❤

That is so nice Christina, I'm sure your mum would be very proud of all your creations, I'm so sorry to hear she is no longer with you but I'm sure that she is looking from heaven and being proud of how talented her daughter is. I'm also very proud of how much I've learned and improved my skills and most importantly I never ever even dared to dream I would make my way of living... now I feel like I'm so blessed with this beautiful dream life ❤Thank you so much my friend, have a wonderful day 😘

I think hand made cards are far better than shop bought, I tend to take hours to make a card, choosing the paper and elements is part of the fun, and you can personalise them too like adding the recipient’s name etc.
I’m retired now and I don’t know where all the hours go, I don’t know how I found time to work hahaha
I agree Marta it definitely relieves stress.
I used to buy something new every week, but I’ve started to use all the stuff I have now…I haven’t bought anything new for ages, i feel really proud of myself hahaha
and to be honest my cards are looking better for it.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us, all your cards are beautiful I’ve learned so much from you ❤

Thank you so much, Susan. I’m so happy that you enjoy crafting and rediscovering wonderful things you can make out of your own stash. I also pretty much stopped buying new bits, juts things I’m needing like glue or cardstock, usually the new things coming into my room are all the goodies I received through my collaborations and design teams but apart from that I am trying to use up what I have and as you say I’ve also noticed that my card making has improved, because I am no longer chasing someone else and trying to match up with what they are doing and what they are buying… I am playing with my own things which I truly love and I want to find more ways to present them into new cards and projects. Thank you so much for sharing your story with me. I am sending you hugs and I wish you fabulous day ❤️

I made a wedding card and the bride called it perfect, says she is going to frame it! I used your lovely paper with the roses and made flowers like you have taught us. I never took a picture. Thank you for all the lovely ideas you share. No store bought card can compare to a handmade one. 😊

My oncology team got me into card making, I spend 9 months in hospital and was bored to tears just laying around when the nurse walked in with paper, pens, scissors , tape and ephemera and away we went making cards for the patients in the ward the occupational therapist spent many days teaching me how to do things . Now I watch RUclips and I send about 30 cards a month to the chaplain at the hospital to give to oncology patients and mothers with babies born sleeping. It helps me forget about my own health struggles and think about others who are struggling too and it’s nice when I get told it puts a smile on their face even if just for a short time.
