Deadlifts are fucking deadly mate. No matter how good you think your form is and how long you've been injury free with them they can always take your lumbar by surprise.
@@GokuPlaysUK you really think a guy his size is on roids? Mate he's just lean, just because your physique is shit after 2 years of lifting doesn't mean this isn't achievable lmao

The genetics part is on point brother. This is one thing that bothered me when I first started lifting and actually made me delete IG. I kept seeing people my age who were leaner and better looking than me and automatically it makes you feel like you're not as good as them. I came to realize that even these people probably see people younger and better looking. You have to understand that you yourself have better genetics than tons of people as well. There are many days I'm in the gym and I feel like I look the best in there. Then another day you see guys twice as big as you and it makes you feel inadequate. It's all a brain game and you have to train yourself to just be okay with what you are. Instead of being jealous find common interests that you share with those people. You are both putting tons of effort into training and nutrition. You will never be the best person in the world. You will never be the richest or smartest or whatever else there is. Just accept yourself
Well said brother, there will be always someone bigger than you and I'm fine with it. First I did it for the girls but now I do it for myself. Lifting makes me happy and healthy, that's why I keep grinding. I came to a point where I don't need more muscles than I have. I am 184cm tall and weight 82kg at like 9% body fat or so, it's more than enough for me. Now I focus my training on skills and performance, that's way do Calisthenics now. In the end its for yourself and not for others.
Both of you guys have such great points, accepting you're genetics is such a huge role in a fitness journey. I'm currently 15 trying my best to bulk and gain muscle and these comments remind me why I started In the 1st place. 💪

Anything can become a habit, it looks impossible and hard on the outside, but it seems so simple and basic to those living it. 3 years ago I was bedbound, crap diet, feared every kind of movement and never felt like bothering since I'd always be behind on others. I just started walking through chronic pain and now I lift 8 hours a week, missing the gym like nothing else, clean diet, love to walk, prefer cycling over driving and the pain is worse than ever, but I'm not longer bothered by it, nor am I bothered being below average. I appreciate this. Something that stuck with me today - you were talking about motivation only really existing because sometimes it’s not there. It got me thinking, I often make things like motivation, rest, mood into prerequisites for my workouts - I need to be in a good mood, well rested, and super hyped in order to work out. BUT I DONT!!! Those are all just barriers to me. Those things are all good, and they increase my enjoyment of the workout, but they’re absolutely NOT necessary. That may be an insight that I needed in order to get over my problems with consistency. Thanks m8
The vibes I get from your video are unlike any other. I feel so zen when watching you. You help me stay present and in a great state of mind. For that, thank you, mate.
Sounds a bit like the “Mundanity of Excellence” - idea that to get great at something it’s a lot easier than you think. You just have to do the same mundane things over and over for years and years.

7:10-11:35 Something in this reminded me of some cheesy principle I learned in my Strategic Sourcing class: focus on the process instead of the product. If you try to get satisfaction from doing new exercises or a new routine or the pump after every workout, I feel like it’s much easier to actually achieve a desired physique.
Joey D is my favourite comedian and guru. Also, all of this advice was perfect. I'm not even big but I've also got to a point where I'm cool with my physique, I've got a bit of muscle and I look decent and I just workout to stay in shape and keep healthy now. I think everyone gets obsessed at first and has this mental image of how they should look and then they get some life experience and realise it doesn't really matter at all, and their energies would be better spent watching Joey D.
Your description of making a task less difficult is spot on. Motivation is unreliable because it’s not always there. What your describing is developing good habits. Habits take little effort and once you made a good habit and routine you didn’t need much motivation. Motivation is good for making new habits.
