I recently purchased the 9 and all I can say is I’m so pleased with it! It has a much more vintage feel in ways of looks and accessories and shots, and the added dial to change the natural lighting is just the cherry on top!
Can I ask a question? Does the camera differ in its imaging quality in terms of its colors? I feel that you have a specific filter color. What is the best color?
No I feel like the mini 11 is better for indoors and house parties which is what most people buy those cameras for and the mini 9 is better for outside pictures but personally I wouldn’t use either to take pictures outside I would just use my Iphone 13 I feel like I’m more drawn to the mini 11 and as they said it’s a similar price range anyways so I’m not loosing out on much

I have the mini 11 and I love it! I prefer it over mini 9. Most of the time the photos in mini 11 are well balanced in exposure. With mini 9 photos are darker and it doesn’t capture as much light as mini 11 does, which helps a lot with details in photos taken with mini 11.
i love the darkness but plenty exposure at once, i saw the urban outfitters sage green instax camera and i impulsively bought it but now i kinda regret it because i like having more control over how my pictures look :/

I have both cameras and all I can say is I am obsessed with both. The 11 is of course a lot easier. I will say that the 11 is better for indoor pictures (with good lighting) The 9 is better for outdoor pictures. Because it has the options of different flashes/Lightning. Specially for night time pictures outside. Having that hi key option comes in handy. Now with the 11, if you wanted to take a picture outside at night you could always use a extra cellphone flashlight behind the camera and it would still look good

@Suhani Panda it’s been really great. I accidentally took a few bad shots (wrong angle, fuzzy pictures, forgot to change the settings) since I’m still trying to get used to the camera, but I really like that vintage feel to the outcome so overall I’m very satisfied with it 💚
My pick will be the 11, I love the manual aspect of a camera but in this case I think the 11 is the more advance one, the shutter speed goes from half a second from up to a 250's of a second. I've seen other side by side photos of this two and the 11 made better photos on most occasion. The close up feature is priceless. Great video, thanks for sharing, but you only compared two photographs. How about if you'll compare 10 photos outdoor and indoor? Which one will be the winner?
my parents got me the mini 11 and to be honest, no regrets!! at first, i really wanted the mini 9 because i like the dial, but i really really love my 11 and i would recommend it

Out of curiosity does your instax mini 11 (camera light flash part) make a creaking wobbly noise like it’s loose when you tap it a few times? I just bought one a few days ago and it made that sound out of box and it’s new but I wonder if it should sound that way or if I should exchange it. Just worried in case of it falling out in the future due to that sound it makes.
Got the Mini 11 and I’m a bit upset taking pics on a sunny day as the camera makes you super white to a point that your face is not even visible. Of course this doesn’t happen all the time, but it’s annoying as I don’t like to waste the films.
So off topic but as soon as the video Began, I was taken aback by her voice, it's just so...nice! I enjoyed listening to this video because I thought her voice sounded so sweet and lovely

I bought a 9 recently but I wasn't a fan of how dark my photos turned out, I take most of them indoors and pretty much most of the background was completely dark. I'm getting an 11 because I mostly plan to use in indoor and the exposure seems more appealing haha. One of my friends agreed to buy the 9 off me so I'm pretty much replacing it I hope I don't regret it :')
@@peewoop5701 11 definitely captures a lot more of the background. You also have to be more still with it since if your hands are too shaky the picture might get a little blurry. 9 is more crisp but a lot darker even in well lit rooms. Pretty much you have to consider if you want to shoot more out side or inside photos 11 is better inside, I haven't shot outside with it too much but it was able to capture some new year fireworks pretty well if that helps haha
For our young daughter who is just starting to get into photographer- we just the Mini 11. She would lose the selfie attachment on the 9 and doesn't quite understand how to control the exposure.
My old mini 8 died recently, It was given to me as a gift 10 years ago so theres a lot of nostalgia with it! I recently Bought the sky blue mini 11 and I can't wait to take photos again.
I got the mini 9 and don’t have money to upgrade to the mini 11. Personally I love it but the cons i have for it is that my selfies are really close to the lens due to my short arms, and I hate how I’m so bad at taking photos due failing to centre my object since what the lens is seeing is different than what I’m seeing through the viewfinder

With this video being a few years old, folks who were undecided and bought it what did you get and how is it holding up? I went to a wedding and someone and one but idk which one she had. Not all the pictures were perfect but she got a gorgeous one of the couple. It was cute having the little Polaroids to take home for memories. I’d like one I can use mostly indoors for events.

My Instax mini 8 broke a while back and I replaced it about a year ago with an Instax mini 9 and coming from someone who’s been using my instax mini 8 for years the quality on the 9 just does not hit the same. They always come out shaky and blurry. The background looks weird since it’s muted and blurred out. I personally do not recommend the Instax mini 11, I’m going to try to sell this and get an older version

Mini 9 is good to buy. Because we can control ourself , not like that everything should be automatic. Camera is that in which we do settings ourself click , not that the camera will click only photo . I wish I will buy mini 9 soon , fingers crossed 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻❤️

I got the 9 for my daughter's birthday last year and I asked why she wasn't using it anymore and she mentioned that she threw away the black box that holds the film in the back. I'm not sure what she is talking about because I never used it. Can someone help figure out if I need the black box or not and if so can I get another one?
Thank you for your review, I am buying my each grandson one of these 3 boys, but they don't have black in the 9 so he's getting an 11, need to know about the film, are they able to use the same film ? I want to get them all the same camera's but they don't make cobalt blue in the 11, so hopefully the jealousy doesn't happen with the one getting the 11 and the older child gets the 9. from my very little experience with the instax mini 11, it definitely gives lighter photos that aren't the best in my opinion. I think i would recommend instax 9 lol. Although you're right the selfie being built in is pretty nice. i did definitely have problems with the button staying on lol
I have the 8, 9 and 11 and you can clearly see the difference. With the 8 and 9 pictures are darker. With the 11 it's brighter. But I love the 8 and 9 design more it's a little more like the so called "old days"

I went to a wedding and someone and one but idk which one she had. Not all the pictures were perfect but she got a gorgeous one of the couple. It was cute having the little Polaroids to take home for memories. I’d like one I can use mostly indoors for events.

If I got the mini 9- could an advantage be that I could adjust the settings to purposely over or under expose to get some neat effects?
I was also thinking the same like for indoor pics if you adjust the cam you can get some high exposure pics right? But after watching this comparison video I ain't a big fan of Mini 11 as I think it somewhere lost its vintage feel...

My Instax mini 8 broke a while back and I replaced it about a year ago with an Instax mini 9 and coming from someone who’s been using my instax mini 8 for years the quality on the 9 just does not hit the same. They always come out shaky and blurry. The background looks weird since it’s muted and blurred out. I personally do not recommend the Instax mini 11, I’m going to try to sell this and get an older version

The mini 9 is the way to go. A beautiful picture got over exposed? Change the light setting manually and take it again. Mini 11? you are SOL.

Mini 9 is good to buy. Because we can control ourself , not like that everything should be automatic. Camera is that in which we do settings ourself click , not that the camera will click only photo .

I like the mini 9 bc here in my country its much affordable and also very easy to use,also i can bring it(both actually) everywhere so i just take photo wherever i am!😄

I wanted to upgrade my instax and its good to know that you suggest other minis than that of mini 11
I got the 9 for my daughter's birthday last year and I asked why she wasn't using it anymore and she mentioned that she threw away the black box that holds the film in the back. I'm not sure what she is talking about because I never used it. Can someone help figure out if I need the black box or not and if so can I get another one?
It's the box containing films which on which photos will be printed...you can get new set of films from the supermarket.

Regarding the 10, that is actually the camera I have. It is ALOT older so I recommend a newer camera. Hope this helps

Thank you for your review, I am buying my each grandson one of these 3 boys, but they don't have black in the 9 so he's getting an 11, need to know about the film, are they able to use the same film ? I want to get them all the same camera's but they don't make cobalt blue in the 11, so hopefully the jealousy doesn't happen with the one getting the 11 and the older child gets the 9. It's hard for me !

from my very little experience with the instax mini 11, it definitely gives lighter photos that aren't the best in my opinion. I think i would recommend instax 9 lol. Although you're right the selfie being built in is pretty nice. i did definitely have problems with the button staying on lol

I have the 8, 9 and 11 and you can clearly see the difference. With the 8 and 9 pictures are darker. With the 11 it's brighter. But I love the 8 and 9 design more it's a little more like the so called "old days"

some said you can cover the flash with washi tape or with your finger even! :)
