Hi guys, please read the info above for why we didn't stop ^^ it was the correct thing to do, confirmed by the police. Stopping on the mountain just creates more hazards.
Really? 1 more motorcycle parked of the road will create more hazards? Lol. I'd never leave the guy like that. Check him then go for help if need be. Plus the other guy was already up ahead.
This year was my first year at the TT. Need eyes in your rear end on the Mountain road. Great fun but demands a lot more respect than what I saw some people give. Roll on 2023.
Really enjoyed watching this and all of your other 2022 videos and then some of your back catalogue. I was there too. I won't do TT again though, the blanket 50mph everywhere else makes the 996 and SP1 a challenge for me, elbows, wrists and more. Manx here we come with fingers crossed they don't apply it. Lots of folks going fast in straight lines over the mountain. I enjoyed your smooth riding style. The chap who lost his GSXR seemed erratic immediately prior with some harsh inputs. Luckily he didn't take anyone else out. The rear end of his bike looked a little wallowy too, to my eye. Well done for the videos and taking the time and effort to post. Thanks. Ride safe.
I stopped going to the TT when they introduced the blanket 50mph limit. Fortunately I managed to go for many years (since 1978), when the open roads were truly de-restricted.
Another top video mate, not seen one for a while, hope you had a great TT 👍 In the words of a great man, ride to live another day, thankfully he was OK 👌
I had a similar experience , Let a guy pass me on an R6 and followed him at a distance he was definitely pushing harder than his ability and the conditions were not to good , not raining but wet road and very windy, we got to the corner before Kates cottage and down he went , The bike hit the side and cart wheeled down the road I couldn't believe what i was seeing trying to slow down dodging bits of R6 in the road , I stopped and stayed with him until the police and medics got there, Amazingly he got away with a dislocated shoulder and two Brocken fingers and of course a written of 3month old R6
If you ride like a lune even with one way you have to except the consequences as a frequent visitor before the one way was introduced many of the crashes were horrendous .
@@spasticbadger1 because white lines a slippy,it's 'windy' corner so you could have got blown a foot to the right and you'd have been in the rough, plus just a terrible line,no need at all to cut it that finely
Lol. All the white lines round the TT course have an abrasive additive which gives them the same grip as normal tarmac even in the wet, this is obviously for safety so they don't kill racers. Also my front wheel is over a foot away from the line at the apex, precisely where I wanted it to be.
I think thats very unlikely, the mountain hasn't had a fatality during TT for 2 years now, they've really nailed the one way system and its as safe as its ever going to be. The crashes this year have also been alot less frequent, the road didn't shut after opening for 18 hours... Compare that with 5 mins the year before.
@@spasticbadger1 Should never stop mad Sunday even when I was there in late 70's early 80's it was well marshalled over the mountain , looks even safer now . Your more likely to escape with just light injury's drooping your bike with the safe one way system , unlike on mainland were your likely to hit a car
The police literally told us we did the correct thing, if its a choice of listening to them or some rando on the internet I know who I'm going to choose.

Good video mate.
Scary to watch him dipping in and out of corners, clearly didn’t have a clue where he was going!
well said
😂 fair play make the most of it b4 it's shut lol.

Great video as always.
Also want to say a big thank you for your beginners video, found it invaluable this last 10 days. Cheers 🍻
Great Capture
And solid content....
The shame of crashing just after you pass someone....
You're very professional and calm throughout.

This is what happens when everybody thinks they are Peter Hickman.
yessss but to the guy who uploaded the video great success high 5
That’s why the mountain gets shut so often. More horsepower than brain cells.
Defo don't stop, he was off the road and you would have been the hazard.
Absolutely, I have Been there the last two years,Do I know the mountain in that time no,you need to respect the island and ride within your capability

I hate that corner after Guthrie's.
I tried to ride over the mountain quite a few times this year but shut each time due to a crash!
Great riding sir perfect pace.
Good safety awareness video here, good upload my friend. Ride safe 💯
Should have backed off when the rain came. It takes a special kind of experience and time on the road to handle rain conditions.
That was backed off xD
If you’re going to come off your bike, windy corner is probably the best/safest place due to the small run of area and plenty of padding.
I'd personally want to bin it at the hairpin xD
J’ai trop kiffer la montagne😋😛🤪 …..vivement le retour 😌
wait a minute, can you legally ride this fast up there all year around ?
Yep, although there are more speed limits during TT, usually the mountain is a completely de-restricted 2 way road.
@@spasticbadger1 wow, did not realize this is the case, still, i know this is how the TT started initially.

Reasons such as this are why you do not see many vintage Gixxers
Takes a few accidents to sharpen up your skill set.he is getting there
Seems like 1 guy would stay there while another goes to report it
You were risking it a bit by being on the white line at windy corner!! Loads of room at that corner,no need to take it so tight
Why was I risking it?

Make the most of the freedom over the mountain as its days are numbered. Soon to be 50

How fast did u go ??
Probs 170mph+ on the mile.
@@spasticbadger1 nice so ur professional racer if I’m not wrong
Absolutely not xD Never seen a race track in my life.

Thats where the camera man is lol
Don't stop to help him though. The guy behind him went for help. You don't know if he needs cpr or is bleeding badly etc. To just ride off is fuked up

What happens when your a top nosher thinking your the boy, saw so many jerks this year 🤦♂️
Too many Dunlop wannabees who see the racers and think they can do the same.
Part of bike racing. You will crash. Just be sure to get up afterwards if you can.
This wasn’t anything to do with racing!
I would not drive a motorhome round the circuit, madness.
WHY is there a motorhome on the circuit?
It's like Sturgis: the best time to go is before or after.
@@suedu9609 because this has nothing to do with the TT race and it’s a normal road!
You sound and seem like the type of biker I’d never want to meet 👍🏻
15 years riding experience, 150k miles covered, 1 accident 10 years ago not my fault... Are you after the ones who will do your wife?
