She earned it. She was a loving grandmother to Georgie and treated Mandy like her 4th grandkid. Nobody did more for them during the pregnancy than Meemaw.
That's the good thing about prequels produced after the original series, they can correct all the mishaps. Although, TBBT showed Georgie as a very practical guy with a natural talent for business. Remember that Sheldon considered Howard less smart because he was an engineer?
I agree I feel like all the characters are portrayed much differently than they were on Big Bang theory. George Senior always has sort of a negative reputation, but he’s a really great person in the show

And in Young Sheldon we see that Mary is mainly focused on Sheldon as the "star" of the family and can treat the other kids and her husband rather unfairly. So it is not suprising their description of other family members is a bit off from the reality
Audrey has a sick sense of entitlement if she honestly believed they'd name the baby after her considering she threw Mandy out of the house after she got pregnant.
This is the respect that Meemaw deserves for stepping up and helping Mandy as well as holding everyone together. Naming CeeCee after Meemaw just gives her the dignity which is needed

Well, Sheldon never mentioned having a twin before Missy showed up in California, and he went a decade without speaking to his brother, so it’s fair to say he’s not super close to any nieces or nephews, but it is true that they changed a lot about Sheldon’s past to make Young Sheldon more watchable.

I think they name her Constance was more Mandy’s idea than Georgie because the way Meemaw treats Mandy like her 4th Grandchild.
For sure. Mandy and Meemaw are incredibly close. She's probably the best woman in Mandy's life. I'm sure Georgie had no problems with that choice.
