Incredibly, I didn’t! I just asked to swap the yellow and green to blue and black. It wasn’t a problem. Red/black would look excellent. 👍 My next video will cover some issues to be aware of. Then you can ask them to remedy those issues and ensure that yours don’t have them BEFORE you order.

Hi, I recall it taking a few days to receive a reply. In China, they also have different celebrations so you may have sent your specs through during that time. But I think the main reason is that they’re getting smashed with orders. I think I got mine just before this Facebook page really started advertising GuitarStore, so communication was quite frequent. So, it’s highly likely that they’re swamped. Just send a friendly reminder. 👌👌

Can someone tell me about stainless steel frets and why they may be preferred (as in this video)? I am thinking about purchasing a Dime guitar and thinking whether I should ask for different frets or not? Thanks
Go for it mate. Look, we love the shape. We love Dime. They are a budget guitar and have some dodgy qualities. But once the bad parts have been tended to, it’s a pretty good guitar. Just be sure to be clear about what you want when dealing with them. The translation apps can be difficult. Don’t use any slang language, always use correct words, otherwise he won’t understand you. Eg ‘The guitar looks sick’; he will wonder why you think the guitar is ‘ill’. Good luck. You’ll need to replace the tuners, pickups and bridge. Then look at changing the nut, volume and tone pots, toggle switch and the input jack… basically ALL of the hardware.

@@gugzy I used to play it all the time cause it was the only guitar I had at the time but I eventually got more guitars so now it sits in its case. There's videos of me playing it on my RUclips channel.

I would agree with that. But I’d also include a good set of pickups too. The feeling of pushing air with a good amp and cab is fantastic.

Its about magnetics. Meaning pickups and speakers. (Or IR’s if you’re a child)

I have a similar guitar from China. I changed the top lock and floydrose to gotoh. Please tell me, are the pickups very different from the original?

It took forever, mate. From the time they said it was sent, it took about 6 weeks and then another 2-3 weeks to get through customs.

Stainless frets are essentially more resistant to wearing…. Longevity.
Just be mindful that there’s an extra charge for them.
