  • I found a 30 cubic meter ancient cave with a circular entrance under a huge rock and turned it into a safe and cozy shelter with a warm stone bed using the primitive DIY techniques of our ancestors.

I use both a buttpack and a daypack. I had to add a much wider, stiffer belt to the buttpack. The sleep/shelter gear, and un-used clothing are strapped to the buttpack and then the daypack rides on the gear. this forces the gear to serve as a pack frame. I HATE every cubic inch and oz of stuff that I have to lug around, so I make everything serve 2-3 purposes. I empty out the packs, stuff them with derbris and use them as sleeping pads, normally up in the hammock. My spare T shirt and boxer shorts form my hip pads. My spare socks are the shoulder pads. The bugnet suits weigh 1/4 lb each. The camo nets are 1/2 lb each. The drum liners are 2.5 ozs each. The bivy is 1.5 lbs. The gillnet-hammock is 1 lb. I made it out of a 50x 10 ft monofilament gillnet (Millers, 2" mesh) and wire pulling 'tape".

helluva lot of trouble to go to, in order to avoid carrying 3 lbs of sleep/shelter gear, all of which can be worn as clothing. Then you dont have to go back to the shelter, where somebody is waiting to ambush you, stole your stuff, etc.

hot weather means bugs and even 10F wont kill ticks and spiders for weeks if they are burrowed into debris. So when you use the debris around your body as insulation, you either have to have the bugnet suits, or you have to heavily smoke each handful of debris. The camo nets can save your life vs enemies, or let you score animals/waterfowl for food. They are sun and wind blocks and if pitched at a steep angle, will shed rain. They also break up the noise of rain hitting your bivy/envelope. it's very important to take a sleep mask, sedatives, and earplugs with you. Birds, frogs, insects, branches rubbing together in the wind can make LOTS of noise, either waking you early or keeping you up late at night. having the sleep mask lets you sleep when the sun is up, in case cold conditions or something else kept you up all night. You'll get very little done if you dont get your rest. and the longer that condition remains with you, the worse it gets for you.

I just watched your video on creating a temporary shelter with an untraceable fireplace for cave camping, and it was such a fascinating concept! It's impressive how you combined survival skills with the need to minimize environmental impact. I'm curious, what materials did you use for the shelter and fireplace, and how did you ensure that your presence in the cave was minimal? Also, what challenges did you face during your cave camping experience?

Thank you for watching the video dear friend . In the caves, I try to place the fireplace in the right place. I use stones and muddy sticky materials to make it strong. My experience in caving was very enjoyable and interesting. You should try to eliminate the risks of bites before work.👏🔥🙏
