  • I call these crochet baby booties ballerina shoes because they look just like ballet shoes. They are crocheted with a basic single crochet stitch and the pattern is very simple. You will also learn how to make a boutique bow with buttons if you watch this tutorial.

    hey I don't know if someone pointed it out or not but in the 2 of the slipper you have a mess up in the written on the video I haven't looked at the link for the written. but it says 2 SC in the first 2 SC then SC in next 7, and it should be 2 SC in next 4 SC but it only says SC in next 4. I only noticed cause I went through and wrote down the pattern. watching it and listening you say in right but I just wanted to let you know.

    I am wondering what size these are? are they for a small baby or Weill they fit my one yr old? Thx

    • @CrochetGuru
      @CrochetGuru  8 лет назад +1

      +kaegic7 The booties that I demonstrate fit a 3 to 6 month old baby but if you use an H/8 hook they should work for a 1 year old. I hope that helps.

    What is the size of the yarn you are using? I am completely new to crochet so I need help with that. As I understand the size of the needle goes with the size of the yarn so If I adjust the needle size for a younger baby (0-3 month old) I assume I need to adjust the size of the yarn as well, right? Please help!!! Thanks so much in advance and also thanks for the amazing videos. :)

      @CrochetGuru  10 лет назад

      Hi Taimy.. I am using #4 worsted weight yarn.. The brand is Red Heart. It is okay to use this with most hooks but if you are using a small yarn then a smaller hook is usually better!

    • @taimybringas8314
      @taimybringas8314 10 лет назад

      Hi,
      Thanks for replying. I plan to use #3 Babysoft yarn and as I mention before I will be making this for a 0-3 month old baby. Hopes it comes out the right size. I probably will be using a 3.50mm hook as you suggested for the smaller size.
      I have another question though. How many rows for the sole? I would like to make the sole in another color but I need to know where the sole finish and the upper part of the shoe starts so I can change colors there. Can you please help me with that?
      Thanks again and blessings!!!!
      Taimy

      Crochet Guru Thanks for replying but the website didn't help much, sorry!! I still cannot figure it out how many are the rows for the sole and where I should change colors to start the top part of the shoe. :( Thanks anyway!!!!

    My daughter who is 5 years old seen these on your page and wants me to make a pair. How can I make them larger to fit her feet

    • @CrochetGuru
      @CrochetGuru  10 лет назад

      Hi Jen... you will need to add a few more rows to the sole and also to the top of the shoe. I would use your daughter as a guide!

    Sorry I keep bothering you but I am really new in this. Do you know what size in inches should be the sole for a size 0-3 months old baby?

    • @CrochetGuru
      @CrochetGuru  10 лет назад +1

      You are no bother at all!! The measurements are about 3 inches long for the sole! I hope that helps!

      +Crochet Guru Are you using a different size hook?

    • @CrochetGuru
      @CrochetGuru  8 лет назад

      No but everyone's gauge can be different so you might need to use a bigger or smaller hook to obtain the same gauge or chain more or less.
