These are absolutely adorable! Your tutorial is very easy to follow and I was so glad to have found this video. I wasn't able to find the yarn anymore, but found one as close as I could. I just finished one bootie and am looking forward to completing my first pair. I have too many friends having baby girls and these are going to be a great gift! Thank you for making these booties and sharing them with the world!
Your tutorial is SO CLEAR!! I cant imagine how hard it is to make these videos.. Thank you so much for your time! I've been crocheting for about a year now. BPDC and FBDC can be hard to learn, you made it very easy to understand.
I use youtube for everything I crochet and this is by far one of the BEST videos I've come across. Your pace is perfect and I can pause and go back and find what I need to go over again without any problems. I have printed out the pattern and will save it for future booties. Love this pattern and your directions are clear. I subscribed to your site and will look forward to other projects. Thanks loads. A crocheting Granny!
I made leg warmers & wanted to add the ruffle in layers from top to bottom so i used your video & skipped right to the ruffle making & WOW! Such easy to follow instruction with great video! Thank you so very much for teaching us all :) GREAT WORK!!!!!
Thank you so much for taking time to film this tutorial and going stitch by stitch with us. It makes crocheting these ADORABLE booties so much easier to understand. The stitches are easy to master, I don't know how you go about turning this all into instructions, but you've done an outstanding job. Thanks again!!!!!
Thank you so much for your kind words! It's challenging to put a tutorial together of this magnitude, but completely worth it to know it will help so many people!
This tutorial is fantastic. Your step by step is so easy to follow. I made 2sets at the same time going section by section. Making 2 more sets tomorrow. Thanks again.
For everyone wanting and adult/child size... couldn’t you just use a sock pattern then add the ruffles? Basically the same... right? At least until there is a larger boot pattern 🤷🏻♀️ seems like an easy solution to all the complaints.
your tutorials are so great. can you please post some simple baby booty videos. i just can't seem to get it right and you are the best teacher i have found on youtube so far! i have completed your beginner's series and it has taught me so much! thank you!!
These booties are great - I'm working on my third pair. It took me awhile to get going on the first try but I persevered and can now whip them up in no time. They are adorable - thankyou Susan
I really enjoyed your tutorial. It was nice to have someone not only tell the stitches needed ,but why those particular stitches were used. I am confused about something. You said that the loop on the needle whereas everyone has continuously said that's never counted as a rule in crocheting. But I'd like to thank you for the tutorial. I can't wait to get started.
As difficult as all the abbreviations look, your tutorial makes it look fairly easy. I've done other projects with the Fp/Bp stitches and I found it to be challenging at first, but after I got the hang of it, the stitches just flew off my hook. I'm looking so forward to getting this project started. I have a baby shower to go to!
Hi, I've always love loved this pattern. I finally made them they turned out beautifully. I am trying different size hooks and different weights of yarn to make more. Thank you for your tutorial
Thank you so much. They are exactly what I need to make for my first grand baby. I've followed your video and made my first beautiful newborn booties. Instead of making the ruffles, I've made chain to tie the bow around the ankle so the booties will stay put on the baby's feet when they kick. It's for a baby boy, that's why I decided to skip the ruffle.
All Done! The pattern is actually forgiving so to those of you stressed about missing a stitch or a count, not to worry. In the end the ruffles hide the occasional error. I'd post a pic if it could.
gorgeous tutorial 😀 I did them and were good but not as great as yours 😂 I found it hard to make the ruffles but I tried my best 😆 thanks alot you are a great teacher 😙😘
Thanks so much your video and explanation worked perfectly for me. I have tried to learn from others on youtube but could not follow along, with you it was great , thanks again :)
thank you very much for sharing such a nice and easy videos tutorial... if i am planning to make for one year... what is the recommendation ... once again thanks alot
I just watched your video about tension. Loved the video. I also watched the video about standing stitches. You are so articulate with your explanations that it makes it easy to follow along. Now about this video, crochet baby slippers, love the wavy stitch btw. I have a cousin that would like an adult size-women's size 7. Do you have any inspiration for me, so that I can make these for her.
I think 12, I counted as she did them but so annoying! I'm having trouble with this also...after the 5 decreases I'm left with 16 sts not 14, so was my first round (of the boot not sole) wrong? She did say to put 2 dc in each of the last 2 sts. She should tell us how many then preceed to do it.
I agree with the previous comment that this needs to be an adult size pattern too. I love them! My question or comment is that I almost never buy any yarn except Red Heart Super Saver just because it is more affordable . I would pay the extra for a more expensive yarn if it was really needed in order to make the finished product turn out right. The one thing I wish most tutorials would spend a minute on is addressing that issue . What type of yarn is needed to make the pattern turn out right, which yarns are acceptable to use in place of what you used and a good description of the yarn you used so that I can find a good substitute if I cannot find the one you used. Such as , it is a 4 ply yarn that is very soft similar to ???, or it is a stiffer yarn , similar to Super Saver, etc. I know a lot of more experienced crocheters may not need that info, but it would certainly help me. That being said, you are an awesome teacher and I looooooove your tutorials. Cannot wait to make these booties and so looking forward to seeing them in adult sizes. Thanks so much for your videos!
Thank you so much for the complement and suggestion, I really appreciate that! You'll be very thrilled to know that the adult version is in the works and will be available this fall! For this particular pattern, I do not recommend substituting with Super Saver yarn if the goal is to make a newborn size. Super Saver is considerably heavier than Unforgettable and that difference will change the finished size. There will also be a difference in the texture. Unforgettable is a roving style yarn, which is smooth and Super Saver is plied. This part isn't a huge deal, but something to consider.
These should fit 0-6 months or so depending on their size. If you need a bigger bootie, substitute the RH Boutique Unforgettable yarn for a heavier worsted weight and a 5mm hook. This should work for up to a year old!
Thank you so much for this wonderful tutorial. It's one of the best that I've have ever worked with. Your instructions we're right on point. Completed my first now working on my second boogie!, Bravo✌🏾
I have a question, why do you only use the back loop in the calls portion? wouldn't it be stronger to use both loops? would it look different if I use both loops? I'm doing it the way you do it in this video but I'm just wonder for future reference when I use bulkier yarn for a bigger child.
NONONONo .... I see the dillemma and corrected the issue. DO NOT make the last BPDC in the foot rounds. Simply slip stitch to the top of the first FPDC (not the chain, which seems to create an addition to the count)
I'm watching and I'm at about the 7:30 to 8:00 minute mark and am noticing the holes in the sole. Are those really supposed to be there? I'm watching the video before I use the pattern to make these lovely booties. p.s. after watching until the 10 min mark, you could close the holes when you sew in the loose end. These are adorable, thank you for making the video.
What size are these for? Cause mine definitely didn't come out newborn size. Does yarn weight effect the size? I followed to the T and it just looks too large
These are the cutest and the most tasteful booties I've ever seen so I tried making a pair. One of the pairs looks like anything but yours and the other one turned out even worse! :( :( :( I should practice more :)))))) But thank you for the free tutorial and the written pattern.
Thank you so much for your wonderful tutorial I made my niece a paid for her baby girl in lavender it looks amazing now my 8th year old daughter wants a pair. How do I make it for a 8th yrs old?
I am having problems with the second row of the bootie part. The first row around with the front post and back post alternating is big enough to see where your fp is and your bp is but on that second row it seems harder to determine where your stiches are because mine are smaller. Is that supposed to be like that is that second row shorter to start out and then once you do it, it gets like the first row size? It is hard to find the posts.
Please help,I'm stuck 🤦 in the 1st round where you are doing front and back post double crochet 2 together decrease you stated after that do 14 front and back post double crochet, what am I doing with the remaining 10 stitches,do I do another 5 decreases PLEASE HELP ME,PLEASE!!! 🤦🤦🤦🤦
Love this sweet little bootie...but I'm curious to know how it's different than the first tutorial of this same bootie. Thanks and I love your instruction :)
Hey Kathy! Thank you, that's a great question. It was brought to my attention on the firsr video that there was a discrepancy in the foot section of this pattern. Some questions came up about stitch counts and people were getting confused. I made the decision to refilm this part of the tutorial and upload the new version to RUclips. So to answer your question, this is the same pattern as the first one, just easier to follow and free of errors :)
I love these booties and your blog!!🤩 You sound like me when I restarted to learn crochet the first time did t ho so well since I was trying to complete a pattern that was to difficult lol 🤣rookie mistake 😂 I must ask though, is it okay if I sell my finished work, using you're patterns? Thanks so much, for great videos and reads😁
At end of round 5 of foot portion I've got 30 stitches, not 26! I've done this twice now and I'm literally following this video . It appears that each time you chain 3 or 2 to go to the next level you are actually creating a new stitch. At the end of each round when you must bdc I include the chain as well to minimize the increases. Something isn't explained clearly here I believe. Or is it this part of the written directions: FpDc3Tog over the next 3 FpBpDc2Tog from prev round (2 dec). BpDc into the BpDc (from the last FpBpDc2Tog) of where you made the FpDc3Tog in the last step (maintaining pattern, NOT CONTRIBUTING TO STITCH COUNT.) ----- but yes it does I think. Anyone know what's going on?
11/20/17: Aloha from Hawaii and thank you for sharing STEP-BY-STEP this beautiful pattern. I would have loved to see them on that SPECIAL LITTLE ANGEL's feet. God bless you.
Mine is slowly taking shape, but I find that it would have been helpful to count better when doing the front/back posts. Somehow I ended up with two extra stitches. I even went back and did it again. Then you got to the decreases and it confused me. I had to play, pause, play pause just to watch you. Listening alone just got messy. I’ve never had to do that before. Going to do my own then come back for the ruffles.
wow wow just WOW :* thankyou so much dear, this s d first bootie which came out perfect :) i want to show u my bootie, can i share it on your facebook page if its allowed to? i m super excited by d end product, thanks again dear.May God bless you :)
I would recommend altering the gauge to get a slightly larger size. This hasn't been tested but I would recommend going up to a heavier worsted weight yarn going up a hook size.

I just finished mine and they're adorable. I used cream cotton size 4 yarn, and a 5mm crochet hook. I'd say the booties would fit 6-12 mths.
Tucker Koda
Was wondering what you would use for hook cause i have to make a 6 to 12 months so thank you!

What size are these? 0-3m? 3-6m? Etc...
Thank you thank you thank you... I made these adorable shoes for my grandbaby and they are just lovely 😍
Around 20:00, how many times are you frdc/bdc along the first side ( before the decrease at the toe)?
I think 12, I counted as she did them but so annoying! I'm having trouble with this also...after the 5 decreases I'm left with 16 sts not 14, so was my first round (of the boot not sole) wrong? She did say to put 2 dc in each of the last 2 sts. She should tell us how many then preceed to do it.
Eboni Latelers I'm having trouble as well. I keep ending up with more stitches left.
stitch count is way off. on the video tutorial and the written.
what size needle are u using?
Carolyn Hummel 5mm hook

I am anxiously awaiting your adult size as well!!!
great tutoria !! just wondering how to make bigger sizes
can i do the same pattern for the other foot?????
Great video, thank you so much! What age would these booties fit?
These should fit 0-6 months or so depending on their size. If you need a bigger bootie, substitute the RH Boutique Unforgettable yarn for a heavier worsted weight and a 5mm hook. This should work for up to a year old!
Whatever i do i keep ending with 28 stiches instead of 26... am i missing a row?
I find it best to watch the hands in the and count it myself sometimes they make mistakes in these tutorials 😅
Thank you so much for this wonderful tutorial. It's one of the best that I've have ever worked with.
Your instructions we're right on point. Completed my first now working on my second boogie!, Bravo✌🏾

Hai.. yu are doing a wonderful thing of teaching us how to do it step by step.. thank yu so much... can yu post some more amigurumis.....
awesome tutorial......thank you so very much....awesome so clear easy to follow
I’m lost after where you built the toe area up...So I give up it was going so well too 😞

great booties, thank you for this nice pattern!
I'm just curious. Why wasn't the ruffles going in around as oppose to up and down 🤔 Ty they're just beautiful,I'm working on them now ❤️
What size are these for? Cause mine definitely didn't come out newborn size.
Does yarn weight effect the size? I followed to the T and it just looks too large
Love these do you have an Adult size 5 tutorial please?
These are the cutest and the most tasteful booties I've ever seen so I tried making a pair. One of the pairs looks like anything but yours and the other one turned out even worse! :( :( :( I should practice more :)))))) But thank you for the free tutorial and the written pattern.
is there a written pattern for this :)
Thank you so much for your wonderful tutorial I made my niece a paid for her baby girl in lavender it looks amazing now my 8th year old daughter wants a pair. How do I make it for a 8th yrs old?
I am thinking using a larger hook will make the booties a bit larger.
This is great! I plan on using this for the top of a boot cuff! Thanks!!🎉
That's a great idea!
Very very very beautiful!
Please how can I make for 2 years old ? Thanks a lot!

What size booties should these be for? I need for around 2t please?
Loved the end result thanks... Very pretty...
If I want to make them fit a 6-9 month old what should I adjust?
OMG such an amazing work! thank you so much for sharing this great tutorial and you time to explain it for us. You're a wonderful person
Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed this project :)
love this pattern, but when it comes to making it bigger I am at a loss. Can you help me make for a toddler 21 months 5.5 inch foot length?
What size does this pattern make it may say I'm still watching
These will fit 0-3 months
What size bootie is this for please? I’m searching for size 2t, or 24 months.
on row 4 I end up with 14 sts at the end not 12. Is this correct ? and I end up with 27 sts on r5
A very well explained tutorial thank you
how to make this in toddler size
Is this for right or left foot or does it not matter?
Love this sweet little bootie...but I'm curious to know how it's different than the first tutorial of this same bootie. Thanks and I love your instruction :)

can we work this booties in fine yarn ( size 2)?
I would like the a chart for different sizes
+Rubi Mosqueda this pattern is currently only available in one size. I hope to add more sizes in the future.
use a bigger crochet hook. 5mm extends to 12month olds

Is there an adult pattern available yet?
Really different from everything else out there!
Thanks for sharing your expertise.
My pleasure! Thanks for watching!
I wish you would give number of post to make before making to post into one. my stitches are off.
Is there a way to do bigger sizes my five year old wanted some
This one is only available in the one size for now. Hopefully I can incorporate more sizes in the future.
What thread did you use? Tia!
GREAT VIDEO one thing please ... in the future please use a contrasting background for those of us with vision issues... thank you

what kind of yarn are you using?
These are so cute 😃😃😃
sağ ayak sol ayak farkediyor mu ?
OMG! I was looking for a cute pair of booties like these. Wish they were more gender neutral but they are so cute. Thanks!
How perfect! You could leave off the ruffles for a more gender neutral look :)
right or left foot ?
came out great! love this. thank you
how can I make for a kid in size 13?
I would recommend altering the gauge to get a slightly larger size. This hasn't been tested but I would recommend going up to a heavier worsted weight yarn going up a hook size.
what kind of yarn did you use?
I used Red Heart Boutique Unforgettable yarn in the color Cappuccino for this tutorial
Thank you, SOoo cute, can't wait to make them 😉
I need to make these smaller
How do I make these in my size? lol ... Too dang cute!
I think this pattern needs to be made in adult size too! Looks like I have some planning to do!
It will be amazing in an adult size x
Burlap & Daily Bread please
Please how could I make that boots in another size for example a 1 year and half? Or 2 years?
