20:36 If you end up moving the collection to New York, I don't know about everyone else, but I'd personally love to see a vlog on how you did it! I can't even imagine the hassle with how much Lego you have to begin with...
Hey DuckBricks, my wife and I LOVE watching the channel. I'm a couple years older than you, but also work in tech (at times Microsoft lol) and lived in New York City for several years and wanted to offer some unsolicited advice. The first thing is that living there vs visiting for work are two completely different beasts. In many ways you are right that it is very convenient for bumping into the right people, and it's very exciting and fun. But, the problem is that it's really taxing once it becomes a part of your daily life, and in many other ways living in NYC is very inconvenient, even if you have money. Secondly, please take care of your sleep. Karoshi (death from overwork) is not a joke, it can happen to you if you aren't careful. The longer you work, sadly you will know more people who this happens to, please sleep. For context, many of my friends and I moved there after college. By now, only one is still living there. It's probably going to be a transitory place in your life, and that's fine, I really treasure most of my memories of NYC, and I met my wife there so very happy to have lived there. Hope that helps! You rock, we'll be watching along as you swing your shot!
Your work ethic is insane. I work at the same company as you as a SWE and every hour out of work I can get I take to just play games and chill. Godspeed man
Dann man you are such an inspiration. Keep doing and going whatever and wherever your heart leads you to. I have to admit I am also not only watching your videos because of Lego but also because of your empathic, enthusiastic and passionate personality.
The pure work ethic of this man is amazing, keep up the good work! Don’t feel so pressured to post a video a day, you have a ton of content already out.
Chris you are an inspiration to us all with your many entrepreneurial projects. You should go to New York and follow your dream, and all the best things will come to you. How you do a video a day is unbelievable. I'm based in the UK so when you are ready to launch 'DuckBricks Europe' let me know for a collab. Until then the very best of luck!
Your videos are awesome and I love even longer ones like these! Don't worry about releasing less videos a week. It's completely understandable that you have other responsibilites. Plus, they're always worth any wait 😉
My poor kids. Gonna make them watch your videos about all you do! Btw make sure the lego is secure doorman building and security w cameras. Lego museum no rent you have to own the building esp in nyc.
Good luck in your move to NYC- temporary or otherwise. Love your passion for LEGO and what you’re working on outside of LEGO. Best wishes to you! Live your best life. Definitely hope your dream of a LEGO museum will be fulfilled someday. Will definitely visit!
If you can get through the summer in NYC, you'll be fine. The subway and the sewers are going to be ripe. Good luck. May the force be with you. I think the museum is a great direction for you to go into. I wish you much success. I went to NYC twice in college and didn't get into it honestly. And I hoped to. I loved being inside the garment district stores. But in general it was touristy and not for me. I love Boston where I was born. And I love cities around the world. You need to go where it speaks to you and is the best fit for your life.
I wholeheartedly agree with your passion project stance on this channel. The excitement you bring is contagious and awesome. Screw the algorithm, it’s never happy anyway. Cheers!
Best of luck out there! The long form fans understand whatever you gotta do is going to be for the best. We’ll keep watching and enjoying no matter how often the uploads come out
I prefer watching videos in which people talk about things they are genuinely interested in. It's nice to see that there are still content creators like you. Good luck in NYC and with all of your ventures.
Chris, buddy, you could also purchase property outside of nyc, Pennsylvania would work, and im sure youd be able to find security, heck you could hire me!
Do some videos in NY where you check out the BAM and PaB wall. Buy a set and review in NY and then take it back to Washington when you go back once per month.
Thanks for being just yourself, all your great content and usefull info so far. all the best for your future projects and good luck in new york. if you make it there, you´ll make it anywhere! I will stay tuned anyways. greetings from germany!
I'm here to watch you share your passion for plastic bricks. seeing you swoosh the next wave for Ninjago dragons reminds why as a AFOL myself why I still do it too. I like the tactile feel of problem solving.
I wish you every success. I've recently started collecting and building Lego (star wars) mainly due to watching Lego Masters. I guess 53 is a bit late but it's so therapeutic and enjoyable. Keep up the great work!!
You’re a true legend Chris. I’m wishing you the absolute best in your journey, you’ve come so far and you’re only gonna go further! Please don’t overwork yourself though, as great as it is we’ll all love without a video every day. Your sanity is more important 🤣
MANY congrats to moving to New York🙌😎🔥🔥🔥 That City is one of my dream places to visit!!! My favorite basketball team from NBA is New York Knicks. You should definitely see a New York Knicks match in “Madison Square Garden”🏀💪😎👑🔥🔥🔥🔥 Regards Mark from Denmark 🇩🇰
I'm always amazed at what you are able to accomplish with just 24 hours in a day. Wow. Just remember to take care of yourself along the way! All the best on this new season of life!
I hope to see you visit Long Island in your stay as a vacation if you need to get away from the bustling city atmosphere. I think you might find the perfect place to open that museum if you take a visit. Also you could always commute to NYC. We do have the LIR.
Do you bro. We love you and the content you bring to the community. Lego is life, but there is a lot more to life to enjoy. Please take care of yourself and do you. We will just have to sort through all our Lego bricks while we wait for the next video.
Dude you need to start your own store here in Seattle then expand to New York have a nice size shop and have a huge museum have it in the north end or the east side maybe even north of cap hill Uw area open your own you will do good and have all kinds of tourist traffic
I think doing videos three times a week is a perfectly reasonable option! I don’t know why you don’t do that sooner and get yourself some more sleep and some more time😊
Alot of youtubers dont do a video a day, you need to do what you can do, your true followers will be fine, i think some new york lego videos would be good too.
I first thought hes just an ambitious geek ❤... But wow. Working full time for Microsoft, creating startups, traveling every week, releasing long RUclips vidoes every day, going on lego shopping hunts, actually BUILDING the Lego. Just incredible how much drive and Energy you have Chris. Just the very little sleep is worrying. Yes you are full of energy and it works, but this could and will backlash sooner or later. Take care of yourself man! And here I am with my 8/5 job, building 1 Lego set a day 😂
I'd love to work at your LEGO museum! Please let me know once you are hiring. Helping you with it as well as with helping others would be a dream come true for me. 😉🤩
13:35 - or, in other words, we need to paralyze work, surface assumptions early and often. We need to be able to figure out what is physically possible here and what is the minimum viable product of this particular launch
It’s ok bud when you get back we should have a big get together for all your home town fans someplace we call all hear first hand what went down and how it went lolz
working like 5 jobs- 8 actually.... welcomenew adventurer to sidequest. the game where you bounce from one job/quest to another like a pinball. my life too Chris. I do everything from plumbing to chef work to personal trainer to carer to bodybuilder and more. oh is there 5 minutes free? oh another job just came along. oh another 6 actually. can't imagine how many I chose to put on hold watching this video.
dude your brain must move like 400 miles a minute I legit cannot comprehend how you're finding the time and willpower to do all of this stuff. I may not be your target demo since I only check in every so often, but seriously 3 videos a week would be completely reasonable.
Bro, we don't need a vid a day now. Break that backlog of vids into 3 a week and make it last 5 months and do it big in NY.
Oh boi
Agreed. If he wants to do quick/timely content he can make shorts
@BrickmasterCB2010 ikr? I think Christopher knows what's best lol.
I need !
Or he can do what he wants with his channel.
I respect your drive, work ethic and passion for what you do. Don’t lose yourself in New York.

Can’t wait for the “DuckBricks moves 200 LEGO sets from New York to Washington” video. Good luck with everything !
He wishes it was only 200
Try 2000+
200? You are forgetting a few digits... ;-)
He has around nine thousand sets
Guys this comment is about moving sets from NY to Washington. Not the other way around. So yeah 200 sets in two months seems right
Duck: I need a bigger space
also Duck: I'm moving to NYC
In all seriousness, best of luck. 🦆
Your work ethic is insane. I work at the same company as you as a SWE and every hour out of work I can get I take to just play games and chill. Godspeed man
It's not really healthy what he is doing. While maybe he is happy right now and gets his dopamine rush, that's not healthy for his health ..
Dann man you are such an inspiration. Keep doing and going whatever and wherever your heart leads you to. I have to admit I am also not only watching your videos because of Lego but also because of your empathic, enthusiastic and passionate personality.
I'm sooo happy for you my friend!! Chase those dreams.
Duckbricks is hands down the coolest Lego RUclipsr I’ve ever seen on youtube
💯 agree !
Why DuckBricks is cool:
9-hour-long Bionicle video.
Chadbrick is:
Influential✅
Lifechanging✅
Respectable✅
AGREE!!
Best of luck wherever you go, don't rule out the midwest. There are tech jobs there too with cost of living a fraction of the coasts.
The pure work ethic of this man is amazing, keep up the good work! Don’t feel so pressured to post a video a day, you have a ton of content already out.
I’ve been in NYC my whole life it’s the greatest city in the world and welcome to have u no matter how long
You only think that, because you’ve never traveled
@@Wealth_Wisdom_Discernment no I’ve been to Dubai, Paris, and London NYC beats them all

Awesome that you are moving to NY
It would be cool to possibly see you around
I wouldn't mind a couple videos a week
Welcome to NYC! Stayed here for 20+ years and I love every moment of it! Hopefully there's a chance I can meet you 😀
How’s that crime rate going? Must suck having every retail store abandon your city
@kronosis2767 True, it's worse now with all the migrant shit. But where I live, it's calm and peaceful, lol.
Your videos are awesome and I love even longer ones like these! Don't worry about releasing less videos a week. It's completely understandable that you have other responsibilites. Plus, they're always worth any wait 😉

Go be awesome!! You are one of the most interesting characters on RUclips . Balance is pretty cool too, don’t forget to throw in some of that.
Thank you so much for this video and please know that I will never stop watching your channel. :)
Good luck and be safe
Welcome to the NYC Neighborhood. As a big fan, I would love to meet you one day and collaborate on any project. Lego or not
Wow i didnt know you worked and did all of this as well. Its impressive.
Best of luck to you and your teams with the ventures. I hope to see you in the news with the groundbreaking technologies.
Best of luck out there! The long form fans understand whatever you gotta do is going to be for the best. We’ll keep watching and enjoying no matter how often the uploads come out
There is no way. So excited to see you there! You should do a meet and greet at the Lego store in Rockefeller center!
I hate shorts but I love your content! I'll be here to watch whatever you release. Good luck in NYC!
Id argue its better to have that museum dream in PA, Upstate NY or even Long Island. But not Jersey
Do some videos in NY where you check out the BAM and PaB wall. Buy a set and review in NY and then take it back to Washington when you go back once per month.

Congrats on the move Chris!! Can’t wait to catchup at BrickWorld and hear all about what you’ve got cooking!
Love the channel no matter what bro❤

Hey Chris, remember to test out NY in Jan-Feb too, it's not as great.
I wish you every success. I've recently started collecting and building Lego (star wars) mainly due to watching Lego Masters. I guess 53 is a bit late but it's so therapeutic and enjoyable. Keep up the great work!!
exciting content you posted here. I am so happy for you and good luck with the big move, Excited to see how your life and duck bricks will become.

Good luck with getting conditioned to the frigid cold on New York in the Winter.
All of the best in NYC.
oh shit good luck moving that much lego
My thoughts exactly. If you thought moving a fridge was a drama?!, hello!.
No it’s just temporary
He is not moving the sets he is leaving them behind
Yeah
Are we going to see a new DuckBricks New York Studio? Best of luck!!
I hope to see you visit Long Island in your stay as a vacation if you need to get away from the bustling city atmosphere. I think you might find the perfect place to open that museum if you take a visit. Also you could always commute to NYC. We do have the LIR.
Hearing “scorching hot” for places like NY compared to here in South Mississippi always confuses me 😂. Best of luck!
Do you bro. We love you and the content you bring to the community. Lego is life, but there is a lot more to life to enjoy. Please take care of yourself and do you. We will just have to sort through all our Lego bricks while we wait for the next video.
NYS is very nature focused. The state is large and nyc is a tiny part. Adirondacks, Catskills, Finger Lakes. You have no clue.
I enjoy your longer videos. I usually work on a set while watching your videos. Will you be coming to Minnesota during your tour?
Congrats on the big news!! We can’t wait to meet you next month in Orlando at Brick Con!
Dude you need to start your own store here in Seattle then expand to New York have a nice size shop and have a huge museum have it in the north end or the east side maybe even north of cap hill Uw area open your own you will do good and have all kinds of tourist traffic

I see a logistics nightmare but still, good for you
Came here expecting a second round of getting flex-slapped...and I wasn't spared. I'm dead bro 💀
I hope you include the backwards walking in the new place even if stuff isn’t set up yet. 3:00 now that’s a great use of AI!

I hope youll get to sleep more than 4 hours a night soon. To me your wellbeing is more important than daily videos. :)
perhaps new york would yield an opportunity to do more foodbricks ~! or more community / social focused content
Go to NY. Pack the Lego, store it. Rent your house. Be amazing!
Good luck 🦆. You are going to need it.
Good luck to NYC. A nice video here
Sadler_Bricks
Your work ethic is greater than my work ethic haha. You Sir have immense ambitions. Follow them and succeed!
I'd love to work at your LEGO museum! Please let me know once you are hiring. Helping you with it as well as with helping others would be a dream come true for me. 😉🤩
What are incredibly sophisticated brain this man has!
@17:12 📸 Say "Gyatt!"
This channel just keeps going from strength to strength!
Chris have you ever been to Ivan's Pharmacy on the Upper West Side? They have an interesting small lego section
NYC Lego shopping video incoming?
Oh my child, my sweet, sweet summer child…. NYC is bad now…
I support you!
Go chase your dreams!
I will watch whatever video you make.
A music is a bit loud under the video in my opinion
Clipped lego skibidi toilet rizz for personal use 😂
Safe Flight ✈️ Enjoy NY will be here. 🤙🏼💪🏼

Hoping for lots of NYC content - either on this or a separate channel.🌃🚕
Homie knows that room so well he is waking down the stairs and around the room backwards without bumping into anything 🤣
I have not watched the video yet but duckbricks I work at the LEGO store in flatiron NYC so if you want a hook up let me know
It’s ok bud when you get back we should have a big get together for all your home town fans someplace we call all hear first hand what went down and how it went lolz

Yo Chris temp. Moveing. To. NYC. Rad ..wish I was in NYC for 2 munths no stress. On the. Vid s stuff. Homie ..😊👍. No stress. Chris.

Time to get a warehouse like bricksie did. Any house is just delaying the space issue.
Be smart with NY a lot of people live in a tiny bubble there, rent is crazy expensive and some crazy people always attacking
Good luck and I smell a potential burnout, be careful Chris. You are amazing.
Consider a NYC meetup. I'd love to meet other lego peeps.
OH MY GOODNESS thats a heck of a backlog
whish you good move
Wish u best luck bro, and also we dont need video everyday now. Post 3 per week and make it last for idk 4-6 months and focus on NY man.
dude your brain must move like 400 miles a minute I legit cannot comprehend how you're finding the time and willpower to do all of this stuff. I may not be your target demo since I only check in every so often, but seriously 3 videos a week would be completely reasonable.
I’m surprised nyc would be good place to settle especially nowadays
Would still watch even if it’s not lego related!
Duck vlogs!
Bro just called me broke in 5028893939282888 ways
Good for you bro
