Eevee SSGI vs Eevee Next vs D5 Render

  • In this video, I am showing render comparison between Eevee SSGI (Blender 4.1), Eevee Next (Blender 4.2 Alpha) and d5 Render.

    for me D5 looks the best( looking at the render in this video, i havent tested D5 myself) ,i have tried both Eevee, Eevee SSGI and Eevee Next using my own character model which i have originaly created to render in Cycles, and in my testing Eevee Next looked much better than both Previous Eevee and SSGI version, also Eevee Next was much faster to render, compile shader and also to bake lighting(atleast 25 times faster to bake lighting), another thing to note is that even though Eevee Next have SSRTGI, u can spot some light leaking through, and i think it works best with baked lighting.1 thing to note is that i did not make the scene to render it in Eevee or Eevee Next specificaly

    it is more like d5 has no motion blurr, good comparison

      Yes and small deph of field that make things more smooth

    You are great as always, you are good at comparing things most people cant see due to marketting, can u make a twinmotion lumen comparasion on this scene with eevee? I wonder how twinmotion lumen will be in that reflection and that chair shading and around the slight shadow around mirror. I really wonder
    By the way I really like the way you keep comparing things very objectively and focus on details, other people r like ''new is better'' without analyzing or missing some lost benefits of old tech. They compare eevee with eevee next but theydont compare SSGI addon, devs should try to at least be in the level of SSGI addon even if they need to use fakery or some techniques they should do it, its really sad Eevee next doesnt look better in terms of shadow and small shading details on wall and chair. It will be dissapointment if eevee next cant surpass eevee ssgi. I think we need manual ambient occlusion option to increase those ambient shadows in areas close to other object. I wish eevee next give option to add a extra layer of ambient oclusion shadows on top of raytraced ambient occlusion. I want to tweak AO shadows like we did before in regular eevee. But I m sure blender wont make it better than SSGI addon, wjhen they make something they wait 4 years to improve it one step ahead but SSGI addon improve it nonstop. I wish blender would do same interms of eevee and have passion more for photorealism and good look.

      Unreal engine is better. But way much harder to use.
