We get a lot of games that Arin selects to bug Dan, Dan's childhood games, and games that the fans won't shut up about. But we don't get a whole lot of Arin's childhood games. This should be fun!
My favorite part about these Putt-Putt games is that the lyrics in the musical numbers just never get captured on the video, so you're just stuck watching an acid trip of animals running around and ZOO ZOO ZOO
My one regret is that Arin and Dan are missing out on using the camera to take pictures of all the heartbroken, crying animals. I still remember how they use the same animation for each scenario so you see Putt-Putt grinning like a fool while he snaps a pic of a forlorn zoo animal. Freaking hilarious. God these games take me back. I really hope they play Pajama Sam.
My uncle worked on these games!! He was the artist, I can't remember if he did the character design or just the animation, but Ioved these games as a kid (Freddie Fish was my jam) and when I found out someone from my family helped make them they became even more special to me!
Your uncle helped make my childhood then. I remember this as one of my very first computer games, I played it all the time, and it's surprisingly educational, since it doesn't really tell you how to solve all the problems. Also, the little animated click spots were my favorite, I'm still upset as an adult that more games don't have hidden animated jokes.
Freddie Fish and the Missing/Lost Kelp Seeds scared the heck out of me, but I remember playing it through as much as Putt Putt saves the zoo. Thank you to your Uncle!
Honestly I would watch you play every single humongous game. All the putt putt, pajama sams, freddi fish, spy fox. At least one of each!! Edit: for anyone who doesn't know - these games are available both on steam and in the app store (apple only)
I was obsessed with this game series as a little kid (like 4-5 years old). ☺️ I remember talking my parents into bringing their laptop with the games so I could play sometimes in the hospital ☺️ I think "putt-putt travels through time" was my favorite. There was also a game that had a mini game where putt-putt mows the lawn that I absolutely loved for some reason 😂
Ain't no way your parents were letting you on the computer in preschool lol, you couldn't even connect to the internet easily or start up your Windows Vista PC

Did your parents grow up with these games as well? Because that's probably what we're going to see in the future. Just parents introducing their favorite movies, series and games to their kids.
Same. I was born in 2003 and these were my favorite games. Granted I didn't really have access to other forms of gaming but I absolutely adore Putt-Putt
I've always loved Humongous Entertainment games! I grew up with them! They've always stuck out because they made their games so that item locations (or in the case of Freddie Fish mysteries, the culprit) vary between save files. It makes the games super replayable even years later.
If I remember right, there were two distinct paths in each game. Spy Fox would also have an extended sequence if you cleared a QTE near the end of the main game.
20:37 if i had a nickel for every time Arin said someone’s head looked like a butt and cracked up from imagining a poop coming out of it, I’d have two nickels, which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it’s happened twice

I hope they play more of these. I'm surprised as a Sierra fan that Dan hasn't played any Humongous Entertainment games like this. Knowing Dan, he's going to LOVE Pajama Sam if they get to it.
The later games they definitely started thinking of parents having to play with their kids and upped the writing to work for adults as well. Pajama Sam and Spy Fox actively hold up

Didnt think id be hearing an Australian italian impression today but sometimes life is full of surprises
The wholesome excitement in the comments and the genuine joy from Dan and Arin have given me so much happiness today.
Also this game is far more ridiculous than I remember and I love it.
I loved watching PeanutButterGamer and BrutalMoose play these games back in the day! Excited to see the Game Grumps play some now.
Childhood memory unlocked. Thank you Arin!
OMG! It's amazing to see Arin play one of my favorite PC Games as a kid!
This unlocked a core memory of mine, holy shit I remember the rhino sound so goddamn well
I remember playing this game with my brother on the family computer when we were kids. now 15ish years later it feels like I'm watching my two dads play it on the family computer :) what a warm feeling, love the putt putt games!
You have no idea what this just unlocked inside my brain. I completely forgot about putt putt this one and the parade were my favorite computer games as a kid, as well as pajama Sam and that fish one I forgot what it was called. This brought back so many memories thank you guys!!!
I'm SO sad we couldn't hear the topiary's song. That song is literally burned into my memory and I was excited to experience it with the boys.
Finally, a puzzle game for Arin
As someone who grew up with humongous entertainment games, this means so much to me.
Dan screaming 'The System works!' in the ad was hilarious haha
had me busting out laughing before the episode even started, 11/10
The memories this is bringing back that I thought were gone forever is crazy. I vividly remember the food from the beginning and how I always wanted it
In case anyone was wondering, yes, this is made by Humongous Entertainment, the same people who made Pajama Sam.
I’m only saying this because that’s IMMEDIATELY what I looked up the second I saw the art style.
Dude, I played Putt Putt when I was a kid! This was a total blast to the past!
oh man humongous entertainment was everything to me as a kid. i played those games until my discs broke :’) it makes me so happy to see them playing this!!
Every single video I become more and more convinced that Arin and I share at least one brain cell.
My neighbours called the police to check if everything is OK with me because I screamed so loud and suddenly. Had a very awkward weird conversation with the officer at the door as I had to explain what game grumps is. They gave me every impression apart from flat out saying they thought I was crazy. All that to say. Thanks for doing humongous games. I'm so happy
I got all the humongous games from a humble bundle one time and i absolutely loved playing through the putt putt games again. Excited to watch Arin do it now
I need these two to play the complete series
I played these games all the time with my sister growing up. The NOSTALGIA is real
This reminds me so much of the Freddi Fish games that I played in my childhood. They're of a very similar time! I would adore it if they'd do a Freddi Fish game, too. Maybe The Case of The Stolen Conch.
Freddie Fish was my JAM growing up
They are both from Humongous Entertainment :)
@@whoisaelis I had a suspicion they'd be by the same people since they look so similar, but I wasn't sure!! Thanks for the info.
The Stolen Conch is the one I played as a kid. It'd unlock so very many memories to see them play it.
My sister had Freddie Fish and the Haunted Schoolhouse.
It's funny Putt-Putt mentions he can't swim, because I distinctly remember a destroyed purple car you could explore in a Freddi Fish game.
this is one of my favorite games of all time. im so glad they are playing this. i would watch the grumps play literally every single putt putt game
I used to play Putt Putt Travels Through Time all the time as a kid! Seeing this as an adult is an odd but pleasant experience.
SAME!! Travels Through Time was the only Putt Putt game I had and I played it constantly when I was growing up!
I. LOVED. THIS. GAME.
Same
I am so inexplicably happy about this one. This was my shit back in the day!! 😆
I used to love the Putt-Putt games when I was a kid, I literally forgot about them completely too.
Thank you for this insane nostalgia trip!
Putt-Putt Enters the Race was my absolute favorite when I was young. I would play it over and over.
This was a deep dive into my childhood. I was born in 1999 and I played many of the Putt-Putt games in my young years .
Sounds like Arin recorded that "AYE, YA GOT ME" line
Fell in love with these games after watching PBG review them AND NOW THE GRUMPS GET TO EXPERIENCE PUTT PUTT
This is incredible. Idk why two adult men playing preschool games fills me with so much joy. But it does. ❤
This is unlocking memories I forgot I had, holy shit
I had COMPLETELY forgotten it existed but I remember playing this game when I was really little, such a delight to be able to enjoy it again, especially with you two making it even more fun!!
Watching you play this and Freddie the fish brought back parts of my childhood that I had completely forgotten. Thinking about it these games probably had a lot to do with why I continue to love and play video games to this day. Glad to see I’m not alone.
