    Great tips... I had already figured out that if you just turn off the raise wrist it would double your battery life, but I am also trying out the tips you gave!

    Excellent video, both in content and presentation. Thanks very much for speaking clearly and at the perfect speed. Great idea to have the watch lying flat with the camera right above it so that the watch interface can be seen clearly. Also appreciated is the way you explained the reasoning behind some of the tips. Thanks very much!

    The only one I don’t understand is turning off the heart rate monitor during your workout. Isn’t the hr monitor one of the MOST IMPORTANT parts of using the watch for your workout? How does the watch accurately monitor your progress without it?

    • @diego81990
      @diego81990 3 года назад +1

      Not if you already use a Garmin or stand alone heart rate accessory.

      My new watch battery was completely dead less than 4hours after putting on fully charged. Tried putting on airplane mode to increase battery life. It STILL didn’t last through the night starting with a full charge.
      After doing some of the things you suggested, I made it through the night last night with 15%left after 7hrs sleep starting with a near full charge.
      Apple isn’t providing the customer service they did 14 years ago when I got my Mac air.
      Thank you so much for this help.

      @@scotta752 yes I am is there any good app to count things like crunches on the app store for the watch s5?

    • @scotta752
      @scotta752  4 года назад

      Yeah, there is. You can try to use a rep counting app. Rep Up for Apple Watch or ‎Gymatic Workout Tracker can count reps for you on lots of different exercises. I haven't tried them out myself, but I might check them out too! They're both free :) I'll link them below for you:
      apps.apple.com/us/app/gymatic-workout-tracker/id1036069872
      apps.apple.com/us/app/rep-up-for-watch/id1441746257

    • @redmeg78
      @redmeg78 4 года назад +2

      Scott Altiparmak Tysm Gymatic requires a premium fee tho and there is no option to select a workout on Rep Up.
      Is there any app that gives detailed stats like the Workout App on the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2 with different workouts for free?
      Also do the other workouts in Apple Watch like cricket and football all use same algorithm or does each record it differently?

    • @scotta752
      @scotta752  4 года назад

      @@redmeg78 Hmm. there is also gymaholic apps.apple.com/au/app/gymaholic-workout-tracker/id648518560 (this has a free version but also includes a premium subscription) but other than that I think most of the apps with the feature you want are all premium subscription. I've also had a really hard time finding workout apps that are free.
      The 'Workout's' App on the Apple Watch actually has a different algorithm for each activity. This is to optimize it a bit better. The only thing to note here is that if you select workout as 'other' it will use a generic algorithm, rather than one that is tuned to a specific sport.
