  • Here’s a Sunday patch I cooked up with the Korg SQ1 on random sequencing duty. Like, comment and subscribe for more Serge modular jams! Also, this is my first recorded jam with the vcf2 for anyone curious about its characteristics. It sounds great!

Cool vibes!! A simple question: As SQ-1 gates send 10V and Serge range is 0-5V an attenuator must be used, is that right?

Hey, thanks for the kind words! So the SQ-1 does support 5V CV for V/OCT but not sure about gate settings. There are attenuators on the Serge modules though so I adjust to taste. Can't say I typically use the SQ-1 with my serge but happened to that day.

@@TheMachinesWon Much obliged. Very useful. BTW, the manual reads: "Pulse/Gate/Trigger Input or Output: DC coupled, expects and sends 0-5v square shaped signals. As an input, other hard edged signals such as triangles and sawtooths will also work, but not as effectively as squares and gates."

@@pkt666666 yeah the SQ1 is pretty handy if you need a small basic sequencer. Usually I use a keystep but didn’t want to make the space on my table that day probably lol
