I am considering modifying the patch some and posting something else with it. If enough people are interested I’ll do that. Def watch Dune in theaters, it’s made for the big screen! Thanks for reaching out! 🙌🏼🙏🏽🤖
WOW! That was really cool! I just bought a System 55 (Like that Moog sound), but this is amazing! I'm gonna have to read up on the 2500 series modules! Down the modular rabbit hole I go! LOL
By far I believe you've captured the sounds of what's going on in space. That is if sound could be produced in outer space. Keep these great sounds coming.
amazing. I've wondered what it would be like to build a Behringer 2500 set up and yours is just amazing. It looks like you are using about half of the modules to create this patch.
Hey, thanks for the kind words! The 2500 system is great, I love mine and it’s a pretty capable machine. Note that I am also using a serge system out of frame which included two envelope generators, 2 mixers, 2 eq, fx aid for reverb and a wave folder.
Thanks so much! The night before I recorded it I did just that. 😊 Not sure if I want to post hour long ambient tracks but if anyone is interested in that, like this comment. 🙌🏼🦾🤖
I follow your patchcables with great interest, I have a Behringer Go with 4 1004s, a 1003, 1005, 1006, 1033, 1027 and 1050. First I let the 1050/1027 play it, then I got a Behringer Swing to play it. Howeveer I´m not so fond of repetitive/predictable music. Can you explain the reasons for your positioning of the oscillators, amps and filters from left to right? I realize it resembles the minimoog and arp 2600, it looks very systematic. A major ingredient in ambiencecreating methods seems to have many oscillators playing without a cv/gate input, rather many of them seem to be hooked up via mod inputs. Very much interested in the routings and the sonic results. Watched Dune 1 last night :)
Hey thanks for the great comment! So I fashioned my set up around Arp 2500s I saw in pictures from Elaine Radigue. I use a combination of the Behringer 2500 sequencer and the key step pro to give things a loose feel and will use LFOs to turn on texture based voices to feel less repetitive. I feel like most ambient music is repetitive but finding the right patch will make it so that nobody cares. Otherwise you’re in the generative ambient realm which I don’t travel too far down that path generally myself. A lot of audiorate modulation was used here and sample and hold to get semi unpredictable results. Dune 1 was good but you’re in a real treat for 2. I recommend watching it on the biggest theatre screen u can find. I’m open to all questions feel free ask away. 🦾🤖
Thanks for taking the chance to check it out the page, I'm happy to hear you're enjoying the jams! SS is the man!! He's keeping an energy alive that was slowly dying in the synth space, now that the pandemic is over. Welcome to the channel and I'm sure I'll catch you in a few of his livestreams sometime soon, he's growing an awesome community of fellow Samurais. Appreciate the sub!
Thanks SS! I love how this patch came out. I could listen to it all day. Yeah, so what I have here is every 2500 module, some in multiples obviously but it’s really just two voices and then some filtered noise going through a wave folder and a delay. Reverb is also used here with the serge system playing modulation duties and EQ. The 2500 was and is a dream synth for me. So happy you enjoy it! Happy to answer any questions you have about it. 😊
Dune + electricity, i can see the lightnings in the desert
A lovely description 😌🏜️ ⚡️
