usable but not safe for use with modern security means.... never use a windows xp machine to do your online banking, emails, workstuff related hings because every loophole to get around any antivirus/malware/antihack-software is open for too long and known to the public

I'm using a PC that I repurposed to use Windows XP Professional with the POSReady legacy hack, Windows 7 Professional, and Windows 10 32 bit variations. I only use Windows XP because I have a couple of older games that just work better in Windows XP than they run in Steam. Their port of the original Knights of the Old Republic greets me with bugs like my player character freezing after battles, so I have to switch to other characters in my party just to move around, but in good old Windows XP, it just works. I can even play it in 1080p.

If _Legacy Update_ is giving you trouble on WinXP, try _Windows Update Restored,_ which also has XP updates.

It is not meaning that the legacy update program does not work. It is that specifically for Windows XP. You need to write click the program and click on properties and click on the unblock button so to open the program if you look closely at the official website, it will also tell you how to do it.

Holy crap buddy, I was your playing with Windows XP when I was like 8, and Windows 98 before that! I'm amazed and glad there are still kids out there keeping playing with the old stuff. You'll be able to help the new guys with the old stuff like I did in school. Keep it up! (Gotta work on normalizing your audio. And could probably get some better resolution from your capture. Windows xp is most likely still being used in mechanic shops for milling machines because the old machines need old software to run there programs on. I used to do a lot of student jobs in mechanic shops.

For MS Office, you could also use the 365 web version instead of installing it and have most modern office features
