The Flyer turned out great Lou. The lighting is superb! I like the base almost as much as the kit! The yellow and black caution area plus the addition of the stowage makes it a very eye catching presentation. Perhaps a trip to Wonderfest for that one!!
You could use tiny neodymium magnets to hold the canopy on I’ve use this for many of my models and it works great for parts that you want to be able to remove but don’t want them falling off if you happen to tip it over a little bit
After seeing this I want to see an HMS Bounty parked on Vulcan awaiting departure. My Dad always said he would love to have a real one to cruise around in. It is a pretty design.
I love the way it came out, and the hidden switch is a gem all to itself! Keep up the great work, and here's hoping next week might be a Doctor Who kit ;)
Steps? Irregularities? I don't see a thing amiss. Looks like Federation Standard Issue to me. Very interesting to see the contrast between the broad warning stripes and smaller. Very educational. And very nice of that chap to send over the files for your personal use. Good hands-across-the-pond and all that. Minor surface schmutzerai? Maybe (next time) some pencil graphite can get you the light touch you wish. The lit up shot was terrific.
They were conserving power on the Voyager so the replicators were used sparingly. Its why Neelix was cooking. I only just now realized how nerdy I am. Beautiful model work by the way.
you make it look easy, had to walk away from my kit tonight, some how the paint got under the tape and leached into an area I so didnt want to redo........................
I was watching your video and I thought you could get a fiber optic camera or endoscope to help with your interior filming and builds. It could help you in multiple places that are hard to see and work with.
1/72. Not many science fiction subjects get to be that scale( without being overwhelmingly huge) outside of individual fighter craft, and the BSG Raptor(?). It can also be set in comparison to a number of non-science fiction fare.🙂
why didn't you just google images of the Voyager Shuttle Bay? some nice images with the Flyer and flooring detail that would have looked awesome with your model.
Not for not I have been watching a lot of tested with Adam Savage. So in that sprite how about 100 percent scratch build of anything your choice for next time.
Fine finish and no, I don't think you overdid the base. I wanted to set your mind at ease about how big the Delta Flyer is. Per screenshots of it being built (From Memory Alpha): static.wikia.nocookie.net/memoryalpha/images/7/7d/Delta_Flyer_in_its_hanger.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20080426194525&path-prefix=en ...and from the "semi official" numbers in the Voyager and DS9 tech manuals, it's damn near as big as a Runabout.
A Two Week Model Project in Three Weeks- Darned that Worm Hole Effect! Excellent as Ever!
Best
That's cool that he sent you the files to do that and that you would delete the files. That means you really respect people you work with.👍
It turned out great Lou. Thanx for going the extra mile on the base for it, Brilliant!
Beautifully done Lou
One of my fav ships! Beautiful work and great call on the warning stripes ;-)

Once again a truly stupendous build Thanks Lou
the display stand totally amplifies this a million fold. Excellent decisions made Lou

Very nice! Thanks for sharing!
Loved the build so much I bought my own kit!

You hid that light switch just how I imagined you would.
Subtle and effective.
Great work as usual, Lou.
Nicely done sir, amazing work I've been following your video series on that project... Loved it 👍😎
Exceptional piece of work Lou. The base totally adds to the whole project. Nice.
Very cool model. Always wanted a Delta Flyer model of some kind. Glad you have such a nice one for your shelf now.
Great job Lou. It has been a pleasure to watch you put this kit together. I will take some of your ideas on board for future products. Many thanks.
and thank you for a wonderful kit to build. I even got compliments from Rob Bonchune on it.
Very cool Lou, very cool! 👍👍🤘✌🏻
Very nice job lou. You should do the bridge next. I bet it would turn out really well.
oil wash over clear acrylic gloss clean with thinners then flat coat werx well
Seeing all those cargo containers makes Worf's back ache!
You read my mind. For a while, I had a crewman trapped under a fallen yellow bucket
I love the Delta Flyer, a very nice build Lou!
Great Job!!

Another sweet build can't wait to get one of those printers boy! Cheers and Thanks
Very clean, detailed model with a beautiful choice of colours: You’re a star.
Superb as always Lou.

You’ve inspired me to get this kit Lou, won’t be doing an interior though.
Great work as usual!

Looks great, Lou!
Very Very well done!!!!!!
Fantastic job!
Excellent👋👋👏👏👍
To bring up the old question, would the Delta Flyer fit inside Voyager's shuttle bay? Only one way to find out. . . .
Try using a pencil and then smear it with your finger. Makes a nice weathering/grime effect.
Great kit Lou, what scale was the ship made in?

👍👍👍👍
