I've been watching Meat Eater for years and have never seen this cast. I really enjoyed their culture and perspective on life.
thank you sir. I really appreciate that feedback
@@jean-paulbourgeois2871 been a fan of Meateater for years now. Rinella really got me pumped and introduced me to a great respect for the outdoor lifestyle. Man I've got to say, you guys are carrying that torch in a major way! I'm not a waterfowler, mostly a whitetail hunter up in MI, but I get the same vibes and feeling from your show that I get from my camp up here in MI. I share the connection that you guys have to the food that you harvest. You boys seem like a cool bunch. Thank you for making this content, it is truly something special man. 💪❤
I was worried it would be a week or more between episodes, I'm loving this show. Great work guys
thank you!
Came here to say the exact same thing, haha. 🤙🏻
@@jean-paulbourgeois2871 Very fresh take on waterfowl hunting, I tip my hat to you. I will be copying that recipe but substituting goose for the duck. Thank you kind sir!
Ken was Jay’s dad that passed unexpectedly during the airing of theses episodes. Miss ya Ken ! I know you watching over us.
This is a quite remarkable tribute to a life well lived …R.I.p

First meateater series I click as soon as I see it other than Steve
Steve’s still better tho
@@andrewmolino5995 Exactly.
@@andrewmolino5995 they almost don't put Steve in enough stuff these days.
Videos like these are changing hunting culture for the better
favorite comment thus far
"They" think we get together just to kill animals barbarically. "We" know it's all about that camp life and comradery. Too often we don't advocate for ourselves quite enough to show the true reasons for loving our hunting/fishing lifestyle.
Love this series. I've never ran across a cajun dude that couldn't cook. Look at the meals these guy's are preparing in the middle of a swamp.
I've never been to Louisiana but these are my kind of people! Me and my country boys from Eastern Utah would have a blast with these fellas. Castin and blastin! Good people recognize good people. Salt of the earth right here. Keep up the good work!!
Lets go!
@@jean-paulbourgeois2871 man don't threaten me with a great time! I'd be on a road trip in no time at all for a great weekend of hunting and camping! haha
@@aaronodell1836 that weather gonna be changing soon enough!
@@jean-paulbourgeois2871 haha...you're killing me! Seriously though...I have to plan a trip. I want that golden ticket to come hang with you fellas and do some work in the blind and the kitchen!
The cinematography is gorgeous
Thank you!
Sheesh I hope there's more seasons of this. An absolutely amazingly shot and entertaining series so far.
Born and Raised in South Louisiana. This is exactly what duck camp is all about. Love it. Lifetimes of memories with family and friends. The abundance of wildlife is mind boggling and its less than it was 40 years ago. Back then the sky was dark with ducks. Big Mallard ducks.
Better than this shows is no way possible .I loved
This is like the Adult version of Duck Commander.
You guys have earned my first ever RUclips comment, absolutely love it! Hope there's loads more to come, from England.
Yes! More on the horizon for sure Andy! Welcome to the wormhole of the RUclips comments section haha
One of the better series
Man this is a good series. We need more!
thank you sir. we are working on it!
I'm loving this series. Best part is the bonds between these folk. So authentic and real how they interact with each other. Keep up the great content and cheers from us Canadian hunters!
More people need to watch this series and understand the real America
dang right dude. appreciate that!
@@jean-paulbourgeois2871 You are a legend. Appreciate you
Amen
Absolutely!!! Amen!
you guys need your own tv show series... id binge watch the hell out of it..
They just need to make this duck camp and hunting its own series lol. The cooking is great and all but the whole camp life would be a great series.
I love all the guys looking at chef waiting for him to finish talking to the damn camera looking hungry as hell
I hesitated to watch this because I live in CO and am mostly a big game hunter but the way these episodes are produced and brought together make me want to head down to the bayou. Props to the dudes who make this, Steve better recognize and start making promotions. This is what the face of hunting in 2021 needs to look like. Great fucking jobs boys!
On behalf of our crew, thank you so much and I am thrilled you appreciate our work! Hopefully the opportunity to produce this series keeps growing with every new season.
Keep em coming! These things are better than sliced bread
Yessir!! 💪
In my office on my lunchbreak watching this on the other side of the planet wishing i had friends like this.
This is my favorite meateater series of all time. Unbelievable work, gentlemen!
Thank you Chad. We sure do appreciate you saying that!

Nice group of fellas. Good food, good fun and good vid. Thank you.
i try to not watch every episode right away so i can binge but these are too good
Thank you 🙏 more coming Tues / Thurs and season 2 in the works.
Being a long time Meateater fan and being from Louisiana these episodes were awesome !
Hands down best outdoors/hunting show of 2020 unrated as hell more people need to see this!
Nice shooting guys....time to eat and drink up with ole friends......this is what it is all about being a cajun......Michael on the jugs......always was a "jugs" man Ya'll are killing me...Damn that duck a la range looks soooooo good.......RIP K.S. Guys I know this has made him smile....sorry for your loss
Hahahahaha love this entire message !
Thank you sir!!
I love “jugs”!!! Lol
Nothing better than being with mates, shooting shit having a few with a bunch of laughs and shit talk along the way.
Thanks for dropping this one so soon
Hell yes! Only complaint is it is not long enough!!!!!!
Fantastic people enjoying a wonderful friendship and food. Impressive.
Them dogs is busy as hell!!
This is the best hunting series I’ve seen. Wish I would have found this sooner
Fantastic!! Pleasantly surprised when I seen another episode drop so fast!! I was like oh helllll yes. C'est bon!!!🤟😁💪
Living in South Louisiana this is all too familiar, I love it!
This is legit the best offshoot show yall have outside of watching the main MeatEater. This is money.
I’m from Franklin, LA and this is the best series on Louisiana outdoors and Cajun culture and cooking I’ve ever seen. Keep up the good work
Hell yeah!
Junior is a machine!!! Working his butt off the first episode, helping cook, smashing ducks, and doing a lil fishing. Good guy to have at the camp.
Did he pay you to say this ?
He’s much better with his chainsaw
Junior is always getting it done ✅

That musical intro is an absolute banger!
This is so good! Love seeing content from somewhere else in our great country and learning about their way of life. So many hunting shows focus on the same things, out west in the mountains, white tails in the midwest or hunting out of the country. We need more of this showing the different parts and lifestyles of our great nation! This right here is living.
This series is fantastic, got me excited for summer to finish and get into the hunting seasons.
a lot of excitement around here too Seth!
I wanna go!!!😩😄 Awesome video! Man I could literally benge watch this all day!
If I wasn’t a hillbilly I would wanna be Cajun. These guys know how to live and eat. This is awesome great job MeatEater.
we are basically just hillbilly that live on the water. same but different
Awesome Video!!
I love everything about this series. I love the food, the music choices, and of course the duck hunting. Please make a season 2 of this!
Season 2 is out now on MeatEater. Thanks for watching!
From an Australian viewer, great addition to the Meateater franchise. Inspires me to learn how to cook different food for my family. This cajun food looks good!
I’m from Indiana so it’s super cool to see these guys embracing the pursuit of waterfowl and what not like I do the pursuit of whitetails and what not. Neat story and a good example of how we are all kinda the same
I love it how y'all don't keep us waiting for a week for a new episode, I'm so glad I saw meat eater on netflix I'm absolutely hooked on the channel now so keep up the amazing work!!!
Great show!
I love how everyone is sooo into the food. And they're all knuckleheads, like my buddies.
Hahaha
Favorite series on Meateater. I will be sorry when it is over. Hopefully they will make more with every different game and fish season.
love this. thank you. we appreciate the support
You're welcome.
The biggest difference between Netflix and RUclips is consistency.
On Netflix, the series can saunter and pick up views 24/7
On RUclips, you have to have consistent uploads otherwise the channel will not grow.
The consistency and quality of video series like this will undoubtably bring the Meateater RUclips channel into a new age. Keep up the good work.
Get these guys on the podcast!
Like this so meat eater sees it!
Dam that’s great material. I love the natural fun loving mood of the boys at camp. Just plain awesome.
Love how meateater shares the spotlight with all of these guys through their own series. Awesome stuff keep it up!
This series getting better and better
thank you man! we trying!
My folks gather up at my grandparents house to hunt every year, this kinda has that feeling, except ducks and not bucks
Love this series, I had the first episode on repeat 🙌
This looks so cool to have friends to do this with. Really like these episodes

Great show! It highlights what so important about hunting, the fellowship!
Mr. Bougeois, Caught you on Big Honker podcast last night. Well done on capturing the truth at so many levels. I think like Ramsey Russell, you are capturing the culture. You have become as much an anthropologist as a chef. Well done.
thank you Keith. thats a hell of a comparison to be in the same sentence as Ramsey. Honored
Cajun food is the only spicy food worth eating. Melts my face off every time but, it’s so worth it
What a great episode. Looks like a blast, guys need this kind of thing.
Well done chef ! You should seriously consider a voice over career brother , you got the pipes for it !
haha thank you. I put a lot of time into writing and reading for those. Its something I've come to seriously enjoy

The music in this series is next level

I can’t help but sit here and smile while watching this episode. Great lifestyle and friendship.
Being from 45 east of where this was shot. I can say all of this wonderfully captivated the south Louisiana lifestyle on da bayou!
Epic series!
Great job guys. I love seeing so much of south Louisiana culture on MeatEater. Making us proud up here north of the boudin line on I-20.
Hahahaha that boudin line huh

This is one of the best series yall have done. great job capturing this. I am jealous of this trip and the adventure these boys get to do. Everything about this story has me wishing I was there. Great job boys cant wait for all of these and many more like this will be coming as the MeatEater group grows Love you Steve but this is where its at. WE NEED MORE THIS STYLE
It's 0600. I ain't had breakfast yet. These guys are killin' me.
I never thought I would say something like this, but I kinda wish there were a couple black dudes in with y’all…… Meat eater is such strong brand and it would be good to see.
Gotta have your quota
@@Vanbrusa obviously you disagree
@@ironorsports6626 I dont disagree. we just dont know any that hunt in Louisiana... but I do know a few guys in Arkansas that are hunting the woods
Awesome to see real Cajuns, no dis to those dynasty bunch
I really dig the old school camo on that shotgun
One of the best and well filmed meat eater series by far🤘
Thanks! Glad you dig it!
I love this series. The people are awesome. Also my last name bushway is directly related to bourgeois Cajun line when the family fled Canada when Britain conquered Canada during the French Indian war. Some fled to French territory like Louisiana and kept last name, others fled to Vermont and changed their last name to a more English last name to survive.
whoah thats really interesting. is that history documented somewhere or more past owned verbally. Just curious!
@@jean-paulbourgeois2871
Both. My father knew the full history but we lost him in 2020.

Fun times! Watching from Ontario Canada
Amazing show guys Take me with you.
I'm starving, licking my screen.
fuck yeah! I almost complained about the episodes being too short, but with this kind of release schedule I really can't complain.
Love the intro song great job.
And a great bit of advice in there too, "shoot where they are going, not where they've been."
Oh Lord! If you need a sous chef and housekeeper let me know. Absolutely AMAZING looking food and game.
Best Meateater yet
Can’t wait for the next 4 episodes
