I've purchased roughly four (4) different lightbars, looking for that capability, and only BENQ and DIIRGLUS, an Chinese off-brand, came close... as far as I'm concerned, if they can do handle dual-monitor setups on one (1) controller, then you've got all the boxes checked!
Sad there is almost nothing said about its main usage - the desktop lighting (flicker, light angles, light temperature, uniformity and etc). All other functions are nice to have, but it worthless if it can not do its primary job done well enough.
The Limited version of the product comes with an adapter in the box, which ensures that you don't have to worry about powering it correctly. On the other hand, the Pro version features the brand name displayed on it, while the Limited version skips it. Personally, I prefer the Limited version as it doesn't have any brand name on it. The smallest option might not be compatible with some monitors, but you can still charge it. The Limited version has only three weight options available.
Are there two versions of it? I can not find this one with the thick round attachment for the screen. The one i can find in shops near me has exactly the same attachment as the plain xiaomi version without rgb.
Were you able to figure out how to buy the exact version with the new holder and no branding on front side? It's crazy that on amazon de in the product photos of two versions at the same time.
Different product! The pro on banggood and AliExpress are the regular Pro model (Silver one) The black one there is the base model light bar (non RGB) This one is a bit longer, as I understand it? And the regular Pro bar with RGB (silver one) is shorter and can only be powered with the plug it comes with (I own this one) Meaning no plugging in to usb ports on a PC/Monitor usb or your own adapter.
got this yesterday. An absolute nightmare to set up, instructions are lacking, best ones are in korean youtube videos, and the linking to the computer cannot be done via usb but via a phone app that is used to connect to the router via hotspot and just does not work. I regret so much having bought this. All the "it does not take very long" or "it is very straightforward" comments are straight falsehoods - it is not even documented how the bar does not support 5Ghz mode
@@gadgetsLZ Oh that's a shame. Would have been nice if it was a solid block of aluminium. Anyway, maybe in the next version! Btw, does the remote scratch easily or is it made of a durable plastic? Also how's the light holding up? You still recommend it? Cheers 👌🏾😉
Very interesting product but... I have a lot of smart light devices at home and four of them are yeelight.. and with all 4 I have abnormal problems. Disconnects from wifi all the time, needs to restart. The app is very flawed. Definitely don't recommend any yeelight products to anyone, and all Xiaomi too! I guess the only products from the Xiaomi group that work well are Aqara!
This could potentially be a great product, but the Yeelight app is GARBAGE. Every now and then it stop recognizing my light. Trying to add the device it’s a NIGHTMARE. The compatibility with APPLE products is basically non existent. I’m using it with a iMac Pro. I do not recommend this product at ALL! Your review is cool, very informative, but the experience with a mac computer is very very disappointing.
What do you mean by compatibility with Apple products? I thought this light bar operates independently of a computer or operating system. It just needs to take power from any USB socket.

Where you can buy black version. I can only see sliver?
This or ....Philips play light bar?
Can you measure the difference in length on much longer the YeeLight is compared to the Xaomi Mi lightbar? Thank you.
Did you ever find out the answer? I was also wondering about this

It's likely because it's average or below par at best.
That clamp looks eerily similar to what BenQ uses on their light bars.
Can you turn the front leds off and just have the rear leds on? The glare is annoying on the display.
Yes you can
@@gadgetsLZ Thank you sir 🤲🏻
interesting how most reviews look past dual-monitor setups, where the ONE controller is able to pair with BOTH lightbars
What protection do you use for the Mac?
Is there any lightbar for curved monitors also can be controlled by Alexa ?
is possible control front and rear lights with alexa?
BRO I CANT EVEN FKNG OPEN MY REMOTE CONTROL BRO. IM HOLDING IT AND SPINNING IT AND SHI AINT DOIN NUN BRUHHHH
What's the difference between the flagship edition and the non flagship edition as there are 2 versions of it.

I have just bought the limit today and I hope it works as well as it did in the video.
Why is it black and doesn't have a huge logo on the front?

@@stepahin I decided against buying it. I can only find the yeelight pro version but it has the standard xiaomi attachment point.
I dont understand why this light is 100 £ on amazon whe the original price is 50£ on Banggood?

Lmao, for £50 more you can get the BenQ Halo, which is just better in most areas.
@@StardustLegacyFighter uhmm.. no RBG backlighting mate
Great review! Glad you love it!
Is it 110v or 220v??
Isn't it usb?
but, this looks like a redesigned mi light with razer chroma and an app which the mi light 1s has already(not razer chroma)

May I ask you is it using the 220v or 110v electric?
looks like an awesome product, a great review!
The remote is plastic right?
Yes and slippery too

@@inspector-tech that would be cool but it would also double the price of the product. Machining and shipping all that aluminium would be expensive.
@@inspector-techYou get what you pay for.
The BenQ one may be overpriced, but at least they didn't cheap out on the remote.
I bought this after watching the review and this is soooo janky. The app doesn't connect to the light at all. Neither does the remote.

Yeesh, it's $139, that's as much as the benq one
Lmao, now this is what I'd call "overpriced".
At least the BenQ one isn't cheaping out on the build quality.

Serves Apple for making their crappy products not compatible with devices from other brands.

Lol dafuq why don't I have a power adapter
