Main interest of this set is the use of trio section in the same key but opposite mode, alternating major/minor in same exercise. Smart is that trio is not in the relative major/minor key that would bring little or simpler variety. Using same key in the opposite mode requires a more sophisticated modulation OR implies a sudden change of mood when no modulation is applied but suddenly opposite mode occurs (similar to the "à la Turque" pieces alternating major/minor suddenly without modulation to unleash the surprise effect).
I don't recall of any other Czerny book using this technique of exercises in major/minor alternating fashion
Regardless, all exercises are extremely pleasant and crisp.

This opus is interesting to start to play in tonalities with several sharps and bemols, since all major and minor tonalities are approached, even with 6 or 7 accidentals - and with pieces without much technichal difficulty. That is an issue in etudes by Czerny, Kohler, Gurlitt and other, they dealt too much with C major (mainly), and after G major, F major, A minor, E minor, D minor before going to tonalities with more accidentals, when the student has a piece in A flat major, D flat major, C# minor, B flat minor to play for example he has difficulty.

the first ones are at difficulty of Bach Inventions (in my opinion, maybe this may be harder for different hand types.
The last ones are actually very hard, i would rank them as hard as some of Mereaux etudes!
