Omg - this was wonderful to watch ! What a super weekend away .. Norwich truly has so much to offer. Beautifully made video - really held my interest 👌👌
Thank you so much for the video. The missus and I decided yesterday to choose Norfolk over France, and your videos have convinced us that we can have the same quality of life right here in the UK.
I am a citizen of The CITY of NORWICH. One thing we hate is people calling our CITY, " market town"! A part from that nice video. You and all others are welcome to visit our City.
As someone who grew up for half his childhood here before moving to London, this made me so nostalgic to go back. Thank you for painting the city in such a beautiful light. Subbed ☺️
A wonderful watch of my home city this Christmas morning. Thank you for painting such a beautiful picture of Norwich. Sometimes I forget to see its beauty when I work in it everyday, and thank you for highlighting all the yummy vegan places we cherish. I'm not vegan but dairy intolerant and swear by Biddy's Tearooms for tea and cake. I highly recommend them and hope you return soon 🫶✨
@@earthguidesclub the plough on st Benedict's is really nice and has a decent garden out back, there's also arboretum opposite the plough (which looks like it's closed down but don't be put off by the facade) which is a pub mixed with an antique shop with a really nice aesthetic. The playhouse (which you passed in the video, near the bridge) has a really nice beer garden by the river which is great in summer. Outside of the city centre you've got dozens of good local pubs, places like the artichoke, fat cat, Alex tavern and rosebury are all really decent spots! Just outside the city (Yarmouth road way) you also have the rushcutters and the river garden which are both on the river in a really lovely area
This seemed like an ad for a few of the niche places to eat in Norwich. You briefly showed the smallest shopping mall, missing out the two bigger ones and didn’t mention most of the historic buildings or castle.
Our channel focussed on sustainable businesses so that’s the angle we take. I’m sure there are other videos covering the history and shopping etc. Thanks Andy
All places that have cathedrals here in uk are CITYS however small Norwich has two cathedrals Anglican cathedral down by the river & St Johns Basilica catholic cathedral up on the hill When entering Norwich the signs say welcome to Norwich A Fine City & I am fortunate to live within the old city boundaries yet still be in the countryside

Visited Norfolk 15 years ago, never left....best county in the UK.
It’s amazing!
Norwich is quite simply the best city of the South... a perfect eclectic mix of old and new.... born, raised and oh so proud of it.
Certainly is a wonderful city 🏙️
It's not in the south, it's in the east :P

so glad you enjoyed! i hope you come back to visit north norfolk coast & towns. they’re beautiful
I had to leave Norwich because I was made redundant during covid and I miss this place so much. It is truly fine city!
Sorry to hear that! Hope all is well :)
It's worth mentioning that Norwich isn't in North Norfolk - the featured Gunton Arms however is. It's a 50 minutes to an hour drive between the two.
interesting to see my home city from an outsiders perspective and surprising to see my old boss from when i worked at tofurei
That’s hilarious! Jenny is super cool 😎

He does call it a city in the video, but I was a little irked when the term "market town" came up too haha
I hope you don't mind me saying but that is a myth. It is not a cathedral which makes a town a city. For example, Cambridge.
@@martinwilliams2556 except, what the commentator said is spot on, every place with a cathedral is a city. Doesn't mean that every city has a cathedral.
@@Draigthedragon That's true. I was merely pointing out it's a commonly held belief that a city is such because of a cathedral.
Lovely video. Places full of character. Surprised to see how so many good places to eat are around a non city area
