We call fried mashed potatoes with a green vegetable “bubble and squeak “. So good 😊 fry the chopped greens with the mashed potatoes in a frying pan with some butter until browned. Yum. It’s sometimes called Colcannon also
Hey Jennifer! I use hamhocks to cook in my greens - turnip greens, mustard greens or collard greens. So delicious. Yours definitely are nice and meaty. I love Maria's cottage. So cute.😀 Maria is so beautiful. She's really growing up. Nice haircut, Joe!
There was nothing better than a slice of my mom’s homemade bread, my Dad and I would toast it and slap a ton of butter on it. We’d dang near eat the entire thing. 😂
The Gordon Girls would like to place their order for a Lakeside Cottage.😊Warren & Sam did an awesome job; a gift made with love ❤️. We really like to make potato pancakes with leftover mashed potatoes. Rachel's are the best. Those and ham hocks are very Southern. Was raised in south Virginia on both. Yum!
Hi 👋 Jennifer, Joe looked so dapper, following his haircut. The ham hock/ wild rice 🍚 combo soup 🍲 was looking good too, but the Blackstone won out! See you soon. Blessings to the Brockmans🎉❤🎉
Hi Jennifer and sweet family! Maria is so smart and sweet. What a great deal on the potatoes. I make mashed potatoes and freeze them or twice baked potatoes for the freezer at that price. Or make some potato wedges and put in the freezer. Joe looks so handmade with his new haircut. Maria’s lakeside cottage is very nice. Your ham and wild rice soup/casserole looks delicious. Have a very blessed weekend everyone!
@ I wash and peel my potatoes and then I cut them the way I want to freeze them and put them in a bowl of water. Then you need to blanch them and when you take them out of the water put them on a clean cloth to drain and if they are fries or wedges I put them on a cookie sheet and flash freeze them and then put in your freezer bags. They won’t get stuck together and you can take out as much as you need for a meal. Hope that helps.
Hi Jennifer, my husband looked up the restaurant you mentioned that has good steak, they are closed Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. We will be in Wisconsin Dell's in late November and wanted to dine their but unfortunately the days that we are there the restaurant is closed. 😣

The soup looks delicious. Maria's "little cabin" is so cute!! The chicken looks good too, but I would have wanted some soup on the side.
Fun hanging out with yall.

How do you freeze the potato wedges? If I knew how I would love ❤️ to do that.

@@WillowsGardenHow long do you blanch them? Thanks!
@ 3-5 minutes depending if they are fries or wedges. I usually do 3 for fries and 4-5 for wedges depending how large they are.
@@WillowsGardenI really appreciate you answering me!😊 I’m going to do it! Thank you so much! I love to learn!❤
