i am deaad ahahahhaha
Moi non plus au demeurant
@@lefandefishou9371 These are just some "intrinsèquement éclaté" sound effects as jeunsse would say nowadays
sound effects are annoying
All you need to know about the BBC, our national broadcaster is not even showing some of the most important talks in our nations history live.
That was incredibly basic and slightly biased against the EU.
Not "all you need to know in two minutes" more along the lines of "here are the four cornerstones of EU policymaking in two minutes".
But I'm still liking the video because I can present that to primary school children as a basic intro to a lesson.
+Alexis “The Player Of Games” Boom I didn't see anything anti eu in the vid.
1) This was awful
2) This was patronising
3) Where is my dislike button?
+Matthew Sayer Yet another patronizing story from the BBC.
This is helpful, but only for my homework!
This video is hilarious, I think that the BBC is trying to tell us that the EU is a joke.
That's putting it mildly.
28 commissioners make the laws and none of us voted for any of them.
You vote for your countries political course and they than usually decide on the commissioner that represents them in the EU
✨the power of democracy✨
BBC, would be lovely if you could turn on captioning for this video.
I am a great fan of the BBC's neutral behaviour of many topics, but this seems like you are mocking the ideals of the EU? Very disappointed in you +BBC
The BBC has received £2m in EU funding in run up to referendum. Why no disclosure?
+Lachrie they received over 100 million euro from the EU, to portray the EU in a favorable light before the referendum.
+Lachrie yep! see my comment also, I posted link to this matter
SteveFusionX where?
sebastionay
refresh video it should be the latest comment
+Lachrie this video by itself cost 1 million
this was horribly cheesy "clip art? and drum-set for each point?" and a very vague description? is this BBC news or some sort of joke? seriously disappointed. as an American I view the BBC as a professional and often unbiased news source that seeks the truth. I often hold disdain for PBS that is often blatant biased and frankly has such little contact with the outside world it simply replays old antique road show and then asks for donations for its new jazz report. but this... GOD. I could have made it.
Joseph Fox Unbiased? Lol
Joseph Fox your belief that the BBC is professional and unbiased is outdated I'm afraid. Up until the mid 80s perhaps but not now. It's awash with common purpose indocrinated marxist white hating zombies. (They even have an educational video for children that states there is no such thing as a British person. Yet not one of the contributors are British.)
Why all the downvotes? This video was intended for Americans.
I'm American and I down voted it because it's the central planning machine for the genocide of the indigenous Europeans via immigration.
+PrussianEngineer As a British person I thank you.
BBC is an anti-white propaganda machine.
+PrussianEngineer I think you give them to much credit "...central planning...", it's a bunch of invisible wasters, the only planning they do is the next big get-together piss-up and how can we syphon off funds in to slush funds to finance their corporate mates dirty deals. Bunch paper pushing failed accountants, sales people and PR agents, Pigs at the trough while it lasts. One of Yanukovych reasons for delaying closer union was the lock-in to EU trade agreements and lock-out of his major trading partners.
Howard Selby You forgot to mention that they are traitors.
PrussianEngineer Your right, they would sell their mothers for a quick buck and use the money to fund ISIS.
Somehow I feel like... there should be more to know.
There, I've been studying European studies for 4 years and I still don't know everything
I just made the likes '666', I feel powerful, almost as if I could reverse Brexit???
I made it 677!
What's the song at the beginning?
the Ode to Joy by Beethoven; the EU anthem.
All you need to know, all right. They don't want you to know anything more. Best to keep the pesky demos uninformed, lest they rebel.
Really? Is that all I needed to know about EU in 2 min?
I don't know why this video has so many dislikes. The BBC is certainly biased but this video was a very objective 2 minute representation of how the system works, I didn't see any bias in it.
this is so bad, just watch cgp grey video about EU instead of this vid
You forgot the important part about Parliament not being able to reject proposed legislation, only amend or accept.
Didnt Coudenhove Kalergi have something to do with this??
Despise the EU time to EXIT.
I thought Georgia was in Europe but it's not on the map...
George is in Europe
Maybe it’s not part of the European Union and the map was a map of just those countries
0:06, 0:37, 1:07, 1:29
He He, so funny!
Oh great, more government to make more government. Why?
Are all of the drum noises to show how awful of a joke this video is?
I don't see the relevance of any of that.
when will this fool learn democracy the people who vote most win good or bad they win
If your country is a "member state" of the EU, your laws are subject to the Primacy of European Union law, and that is an EU law principle that when there is conflict between European law and the laws of member states, European law prevails, and the norms of National law must be set aside. It gives them power over you. The European Court of Justice is there to enforce that power, using the Primacy rule. They intend to become a federal European Superstate.
Hitlers Dream.
If you were to read any of the EU treaties, you’d find out that virtually every leader or administration the EU has had in recent years understands how challenging it is to maintain a balance between federal power and individual states’ own sovereignty. The EU simply does not have the political capital to overrule every member state on every decision it disagrees with because it risks making countries more skeptical of the EU. Therefore, most European institutions work on the principle of subsidiarity, wherein the EU will let member states handle certain internal issues if they are more efficient than the EU could be and don’t compromise European values too much. Thus, the EU interfering to overrule national law is a last resort decision and only done when there are serious risks posed to European unity and the rule of law.
If you still believe the EU is blatantly overreaching, could you list off some notable, concrete decisions from the European Courts with which you disagree?
No. This what you need to know.
I voted to stay in the "common market" in 1975. I was conned (Edward Heath admitted he lied to the British public several years later).
The EU Commission is just a modern version of the old USSR polit bureau (as Gorbachev pointed out at an event in Paris several years ago).
The polit bureau creates the laws, the MEPs merely rubber stamp them with no ability to alter these laws in any meaningful way.
Guy verhofstadt compared the EU 7 year economic plan with the soviet union 5 year economic plan. What a giveaway!
Altiero Spinelli's (1907-1986) name is above the main entrance to the EU. Spinelli was an Italian communist who set out a manifesto which is being followed by the EU.
Alexi Sayle has in his autobiography (and used it in an interview by remote camera) that his parents (both communists) attended meetings where it was discussed how and when they (communists) would take over the world.I though it was just a comedic tale but he was trying to warn us (obvious now).
The European elections are just an illusion of democracy.
The whole reason for the EU is to replace Europeans with a low IQ, mixed race.
Any financial arguments are just a smokescreen as suggested by Jean Monnet, co-founder of the EEC who died in 1978.
That is the plan. Look it up!
The Barcelona Decalaration 1995 (relates to importing muslims), the Marrakesh Declaration 2018 (relates to importing sub saharan Africans) and the UN migration Pact 2018 all facilitate the replacement.
They were trying to do this very gradually but the recent "crisis" has illuminated their plan. (This "migrant crisis" itself was orchestrated by the UN in 2000, so not really a "crisis".)
Richard von Coudenhove-Kalergi wrote "Practical Idealism" in 1923. The EU is based on this book.
He designed the flag and suggested Beethoven's Ode to Joy as it's anthem.
Perhaps those of us who have woken up should have JSBach's "sleepers awake" from Cantata No.40 perhaps.
In December 2018, junker admitted coudenhove-kalergi's influence in the creation of the EU (maybe he thought if the cat's out of the bag, why deny it?).
For decades Europeans were told to reduce family size to save the planet (the guardian was still printing this in 2017!).
Africa's population is exploding (seems africans were not told to save the planet!).
Junker and his puppy, macron, are going to import 200 million Africans in the next 20 years becuase of falling birthrate. Why not just encourage Europeans to have more babies....or doesn't that fit the coudenhove-kalergi plan?
We're told that automation will replace employment in many sectors (Apple have recently opened a stoe without staff).
What will all these africans do all day?
Additionally, with 250 to 300 thousand entering the UK every year (with only 20,000 houses being built per annum) where will they all live?
And then they broke their own rules and let in poorer countries and that was the end of that.
It’s The BBC ...so it must be true No bias here
A great video. In my opinion the EU system is way too polarized.
THE EU is not an Economic institution but a Pastor with hand pointing finger!!!! Blackmailing the World!
What a load of bollocks!
+john stevens It's all perfectly true, actually.
Here take as many credit cards as you want, we're here for your benefit says the banks we're your friends, honest....
Replace "banks" with "EU" and "credit cards" with "remove your democracy", that's the general idea. Target the young, they won't smell the bullshit.
Wtf are you talking about
My science teacher send me see this video for the class:|
Generally the economic well-being is paramount and supersedes all other considerations , but this time the importance of leaving and breaking free of this EU,SSR is bigger than even money. Even if the living standards were to drop , and unemployment go up and household income down. It would be worth all to control boarders and stop unvetted migrants from destroying our freedom and quality of life. It would be worth it to be in control of , and making the laws which we live by . and to stop the huge give away of our needed taxes which go to subsidize the EU, and to foreign aid, and an NHS which spends ever increasing billions on countless 'imports' .That the foreigners work in it , needs no thanks : the create the demand as millions more patients that they serve ( the very definition of self -serving ) Leaving would be worth it if it meant a drop in our economy BUT it won't. many real experts say we would do as well if not better out.
Corrupted , and that didn't take 2 minutes
good day
This was so missleading, the EU is so much more. Shallow Brits don't apreciate the EU.
+shtrokavi89 Well done you deserve a award, we don't appreciate the EU because it's a load of steaming shit, with more floors than Trump Tower in N.Y.
Yea mate, I'm sure if a foreign army invaded the UK you wouldn't look at the EU as a "load of streaming shit"
I'm just saying as an example, but if Hitler invaded the UK I'm sure brits would have a much different take on the EU.
+joshua embleton lol ok stop wasting my time. research the eu a bit and buy a brain please
+shtrokavi89 NATO...

You gotta love the BBC, it explains it to understand about the EU system works in a entertaining way. Too many countries, too many politicians and so many buildings.
As opposed to the UK which runs its legal, political, military, and economic dealings out of the same single crumbling building?
Because the City of London isn't at all "glass and steel".
+Alexis “The Player Of Games” Boom but at least those in London are voted into power by "we, the people". Did YOU vote in Jean Claude Junker to be your "president" of the EU?? thought not.
SteveFusionX why would you quote the American constitution?
And the conservative party actively gerrymanders and last week removed 1m voters from the electoral register.
As for the EU, I support for Tim Farron to be leader.
Which EU party do you support? Do you even know any of them?
SteveFusionX why are you being so horrid, what are you trying to hide?
Micropenis?
*You* quoted the yanks, not me 😉
Alexis Boom
I'm being horrid because traitors like you don't even know the meaning of democracy. Our grandfathers fought to keep this country from foreign take-over.
You limp-wristed liberals have given it away with your complacency.
A playing place for the elite. out now!!
No se entiende nada
Ashaming
All you need to know is that I'm voting to leave

very upbeat, happy tone throughout the video. Cartoon sfx, slap-stick drum-rolls and nice, colourful imagery; all designed to brainwash you into believing the EU is a wonderful thing and there is nothing to fear from ever closer union!
This sucked
