Requiring location services even when the app is not in use sucks. You can't use the app if you don't let it keep tracking you. It should've been an option.

I wholeheartedly agree. I really hope that Fuji changes this in a future firmware update

I couldn’t agree more. This makes the app unusable in my book

The Leica Fotos app is a solid 1st party app. It gives you more control over the camera controls then the FujiFilm X app. Still, I’m with you that this is a very welcome improvement over what we previously had. Great job on the video.

The main thing I'm missing in this app is that you can only change the standard film simulations, not the ones you've saved in the Q (quick) menu, that and the locations service that needs to be always on.

Does physical location affect the connectivity of the app (outdoors/indoors)?
It would be nice to use the live view for composing and as shutter button for group shots but the app disconnects within feet of stepping away from the camera.

Unfortunately it still sucks! I’m not able to transfer photos between the xt5 and an iPad Pro m2, I get a message that the network is unstable 😢, it works fine with the iPhone though.

Try a Google 6 if you want something outstanding for taking photos, zoom and edit all in the same package?

Do you need wifi connection for the live view/using your phone as a monitor to take photos?

this x-app has no focus control for remote control in video. The only usage I see for remote control is for self-filming for webcam or RUclips presentations, but there is only a tap to focus for photography. Really, people will use this app to make selfies ???? Quite useless.

Ricoh and Leica have already had this for a long time and even far better.

It may be good but it forces the user to have tracking on continual and sharing continually when I only want that whilst using the. App. 😤

This Fuji X app still sucks. Still having connecting issues with my XT5.

I am not sure what you are talking about. The Fuji app is as bad as Canon or Nikon in terms of reliability. When you need it to work, it will not connect, connection keeps dropping or app keeps crashing. Really bad experience there.

I’d recommend updating the app. I haven’t had any majors issues in my week of using it.

Had no idea fuji even released a new version of the app. Looks promising to say the least. Fingers crossed for it being stable on android 🥹
