  • Several months ago I made a video about a typical day in the life of me, a Canadian English teacher here in Guangzhou China. This video is a follow up to that video. In this video I will take you through a normal weekend here in Guangzhou. This is just a random weekend that I decided to film. There is absolutely nothing special planned for this video. It is entirely what I would have done on this weekend anyways. I hope it can give you a look at what day to day life is like for me as a foreigner and single dad living here in China. I have been in China for 10 years. If you are thinking about moving to China for whatever reason, whether it be for work or business you might be intimidated from what you have heard or by what you might think about China. I really hope this video can show you how incredibly normal life for me as a foreigner here is. It's not any different than what I may be doing in my own country if I were still living there.
    Be sure to subscribe to the channel for more videos on life in China as well as fun videos about food, beer and travel.

    Sounds like you are living a pretty normal life......not a beer drinker myself, but a cold one on a Saturday night sounds great.....taking care of your daughter is No1 priority.
    If I lived in China, I definitely would be trying to speak mandarin.......

      作为外教老师 最好不要学太多中文 这是为了给学生建立一个纯外语环境 只有讲外语彼此才能沟通 刺激学生们开口讲外语😂 讲个笑话 我有个韩国朋友 因为中文太好 而被取消了韩语外教老师的工作🤣🤣🤣

    • @thefitxpat382
      @thefitxpat382  Месяц назад +1

      @@jackMorrison-it5nz 老实说。你说的是真的。我工作过的每所学校都告诉我们,我们不要对学生说中文。他们想创造一个英语环境。基本上,当涉及到找到一份外国教师的工作时,你的中文口语技能毫无意义。人们可能不同意我的观点,但这是真正的事实。

    Do you have any recruiter contacts you’d recommend for someone currently based in the US wanting to teach uni?

    • @thefitxpat382
      @thefitxpat382  Месяц назад +1

      If you are currently outside of China try www.eslcafe.com or trying emailing someone at a university directly. To
      Be honest my current job I just emailed the school directly and was able to set up an interview. If you eliminate the recruiter then you will get a higher salary. The recruiter will take a cut
