well done lads that's class. I played a game once at a much lower standard when it was super muddy like that, the opposition scored in the first minute then it was just knock ons and scrums haha, 5-0. They did a good thing going uncontested here. Brilliant spirit in such minging conditions!

In the '70s, when we were touring Wales, we had simular conditions. We couldn't see differences in shirts.
Later, at the third halve, telly was on and the speaker said it was a glorius day for rugby. Nothing about conditions.
Our Wales host did a wonderous job, because the next day all our shirts and shorts were as clean as a whistle.
    We didn't deserve that 😄
    Wonderfull times.

It's obvious that you have never played up on the hill at Berry Hill in the Forest of Dean, when the rain, wind, thunder and lightening start to blow in from the West.
We looked at them, and they looked at us, before both teams sprinted for the changing rooms - led by a very fit and sensibly minded referee!
    Happy days!

Everything is “brutal” with you. Ever play in a blizzard when the snow and ice pellets were blowing horizontally across the field? Nobody kicked because we had no idea where the ball would go. The surface was hard as rock. Retain possession at all costs. Grind away, boys! Real rugby. Took a half hour in the hot showers to thaw out, then off to the beer up!

Perfect rugby conditions and an exciting final. Well played everyone. They just need a nice hot shower and a few pints of beer afterwards.

Worst conditions? I've played in worse dozens of times.
Rain and high tide in the Carolina low-country. Valentines day in Breckenridge, Colorado.
The worst conditions I remember was in Jacksonville, Florida. At first it was fine. A thunderstorm came through pre-match. It left about 1/2" of standing water everywhere but that wasn't the problem.
What became apparent first was that there were Fire Ant beds scattered about the pitch. Then, to add insult to injury we also figured out that someone, before the storm, had poured gasoline on the nests in an attempt to drive them down.
There we were playing rugby in petrol soaked kit while being bitten by insects.
    The party was EPIC.

Mate I've played on the fire ants home planet of ayabastard. There was solar flares at the time and to add to the heat stroke and extraterrestrial diseases, we ended up having to face their kings best warriors after our 7's tournament. Only 8 of 12 made it back home.
It's a schools in London, mate. This is the worst weather they get down there.

Worst condition? At least it is not worse than having artificial pitch which players get bruised for.
