Great video! I remember being in the AF JROTC in high school (1978-1982) and going to Pease AFB to fly in a KC-135. There were 5 of us and I picked the winning number and got to sit in the cockpit jumpseat for takeoff. We refueled FB-111's. It's a great memory!!
I wonder how many chickens get slaughtered to stock up all the Chik-Fil-As. They never really run out, nor does McDonalds, Burger King, and Wendys. Taco Bell never runs out too and all the grocery stores always have some sort of meat.
Honestly, expertise/skill at any task, right down to folding clothes at The Gap, can be fascinating. How human beings get better at things with repetition is amazing.
Damn, how cool is this!! I live not far from here, in Alaska. I watch these F-22's every time they're in the air ... have at times been in wilderness doing fishing or hunting and these Raptors -- and A-10's from a different air base near Fairbanks -- will come in low right above the trees, it's incredible! I've got some very cool video footage of these jets. Thanks for posting such a great video
Elmendorf Air force base is the best place to visit and see the raptors and other planes take off and land. Will never get bored seeing them fly over my house

These dudes are awesome pilots. To me this is the most critical part of their service, they have to load the planes midflight, any mistake and there might be a huge problem. They have to keep their concentration and their focus, just to align and get there is quite difficult.

I can tell this is Elmondorf (hope I got the spelling right). My son was stationed there. His MOS was Security Force. What a beautiful Air force base and territory. My wife and I spent 10 days there. Did a Patrol car ride along with my son on base. Had a blast.
When that AF WAC took off, it looked like it was heading straight into the mountains!! Same with this tanker aircraft....the mountains just LOOM ahead and it looks like they'll never make it over 'em! I'm a 63 yr old woman who know hardly anything about my own U.S. Military, but I LOVE this stuff, and I'm trying to learn. They say it's "never too late", eh...??!!!!! 🕊❤ Sincerely, 🌟💫💛
If you ever get a chance to go to Alaska check out Elmondorf AFB. It is a fantastic base (although I was lucky enough to have a Government Clearance and it would be hard to get on) and the countryside is amazing. The mountains are unbelievable. They are huge and snow covered. The place is unreal.
NemesisMusic2010 there’s is a big party they throw and pretty much they allow the pilots to choose their aircraft based on their scores in base flight testing so if you get the best score you pick first
Gotta love U.S. military pilots, massive self-confidence and egos, but nice guys. That is a combination that doesn't come together very often. My best friend's father is a retired KC-135 Lt. Colonel in the U.S. Air Force and I was just a lowly E-4 radarman in the U.S. Navy, but he talks to me with respect all the time.

excellent taste. In terms of aircraft that were actually produced, the F-4 and F-14 are two of my favorites. My all time favorite, however is the X-29.

Reading comments for a moment, I looked up to see 1:48 and thought the pilot was removing a parking ticket from the windshield before realizing he was still in an aircraft.
..... all they did was roll to the right. I don't see what agility has to do with a simple roll. Doesn't matter what plane it is it doesn't take much to simply roll right.
This is what makes America the best country. When Americans get their shit together build some of humanitys most modern marvels. This F-22 raptor, absurdly much more advanced than anything the rest of the countrys can produce, was even accidentally too advanced for even the highly trained pilots could handle for a little while, is technology developed and built 30 years ago. Able to build tech that's decades more advanced than the rest of the world combined. NASA. Moon landing. Reusable spaceships. Reusable rockets. Intercontinental air travel. Nuclear energy. Etc.
Close up of the guys in raptors look like they are built into the plane, love to know what their HUD is like through the visor, keep imagining its like predators thermal imaging. I know the F35 helmet visor allows the pilot to look through their plane like its not there.
This might look like an odd question, but is it normal to have that annoying static tone in the comms line when the pilot talks? I have normally listens to other planes using comms, but it does not appear to be present when they activate their mic to talk.

they're just at a flying gas station haha!

the f22 has such a futuristic design element, and its pure function over form.
More like Function AND Form. Beautiful, yet deadly
