Billy Bwilly I think it's just his mix. It sounds like he had a lot of the room mics in the mix along with the close mics. Good EQ, etc. That controlled sound snare head is good at that tuning as well.
Hey dudes! It's definitely a cutout of an old head, placed on top to help further control the sound. We've found it helps give super consistent tone in terms of live sound. Plus its cheap!

I love a challenge for sure, but truth be told, I definitely prefer sitting in a pocket than trying to over-complicate a rhythm part to satisfy my drummer itch. Sometimes the hardest thing to play is nothing.
Dude, love your take on this! SO SO SOLID
Great work champ!. You make it look so easy. Shows the many hours you've spent behind closed doors in practice. God Bless!
Brilliant and smooth!
Brother, incredible drumming. God bless, thanks for the upload
Thanks for the vid. I had to learn this song, and this was a ton of help. . . AND thanks for the fill, got a lot out of this.
Glad it helped! Thanks for watching!
For an odd original drum arrangement-you did great bro!
So clean! Thanks for sharing!!!
really great tutorial!
I love the cymbals
Thanks! They'e been a dream from where we've come from over the years. Glad to have them.
Did you have a cover of What a Beautiful Name recently? If so, please put it back up...it was the best one I could find. Very clear and well done.

Grande !!! :)
Really good job
what toms u are using? i love the sound of ur toms especially the bass toms
Looks like Ludwig from the bass drum. Maple, 13x9, 16x16, bass drum looks like 22' and pretty deep, 16 or 18. Ludy's are the best. Bless :)
I love your tutorial videos! What crash do you use? I love those cymbals!

Michael Manley sounds beautiful!
Great bro;)
Nice work.. wish there were vocals for reference points though
What are these crashes and ride?
how'd you get your snare that fat sound without the dampers?
Billy Bwilly
I think it's just his mix. It sounds like he had a lot of the room mics in the mix along with the close mics. Good EQ, etc. That controlled sound snare head is good at that tuning as well.
Billy Bwilly he actually does have an E-ring dampener on his snare. It's white so it's kinda hard to see haha
Ron Guillermo yeah I was about to say

so what's the time signature for this song?
l3ertuz 4/4, although a lot of the sections have a half time feel.
In half time the snare hit is on 3 instead of 2 and 4.
Watch this at x2 speed thank me later lol
What gear are you using? In terms of cymbals?

Why are we making these worship songs so difficult?
I love a challenge for sure, but truth be told, I definitely prefer sitting in a pocket than trying to over-complicate a rhythm part to satisfy my drummer itch. Sometimes the hardest thing to play is nothing.
None of these songs have in the pocket playing anymore. Time keeping has moved to elaborate tom tom patterns.
can do a tutorial without backtracking
