Here's the thing. Kirsten is a good actress, the directing and script they gave her were just shit. That book was written with the intention of Bella being an intolerable Mary Sue that anyone can project themselves on. You can't do that in film, so she just had to act like the generic piece of trash Bella was in the book. The scary thing is- she did. And it likely ruined her career.

And I read Twilight (I was curious to see if it was just a bad film, not a bad book), in the book there's plenty of moments it explicitly says the character emotes. It talks about facial expressions, it talks about why that character has those emotions. She may be an unbearable Mary Sue but she does have emotions. There was no excuse for Stewart's apathetic actions. Also, she could have quit Twilight at any point in time, but she didn't. If she had any respect for her profession she'd give up on Twilight, but instead she keep at that cash cow and got way too much money, more than the movie deserved. Seriously, you can't say she was impoverished because the first Twilight would have gotten her a LOT of money. She has no respect for acting.
