It's more that it was obvious there was no discussion prior to the interview as to what each one was expecting from the other. To be honest, I don't blame KSI or Ryan Reynolds for the offsetting tone of this interview. It's more that it was obvious there was no discussion prior to the interview as to what each one was expecting from the other. KSI obviously played his part well; I mean he's a RUclips character/entertainer and it's his job to remain true to his RUclips persona. If he did a legitimate interview with Ryan Reynolds, I don't know why he would even bother posting it to this channel.
The better option would've probably been to have 2 interviews (if even possible) and have one be a serious interview while the other would be more of a skit/awkward interview.

everyone talking about how Ryan looks and sounds condescending. Well, here's the opinion of someone who, very much like Mr. Reynolds, has discovered this interviewer existed (you are free to disagree, of course; it's only my p.o.v):
this KSI guy was somewhat a mixture of obnoxious, starstruck, annoying and childish.
Ryan isn't some random teenager; you don't get to call him bro, you don't get to yell at him and being all around excited.
He's a nice guy, yes, but when the interviewer acts like a child, you obviously loose respect towards him. that's what happened there.
I would have acted the same if someone started the interview shouting, calling me bro when I am old enough to be his dad, screaming staring contest, laughing stupidly at every question he answered and doing these little games.
KSI was there to talk about a movie and about a man. you could have asked the questions you did, made follow up questions, get to ask about the sequel, get to ask about any personal feelings about how he felt when filming and production ended; his thoughts on the marketing for the movie, the overall response from the fans, ANYTHING except kicking, flailing, laughing and not being mature enough to be around a famous person you possibly idolise.
Ryan Reynolds is a professional, (yes he jokes around, yes he is a nice guy, yes he is all around great, but is still just an actor promoting his movie; you're not buddies), therefore he expected to be treated like such by a mature, responsible man who was interested in the movie and whose audience would be too.
Take some notes, so that next time you don't throw away such a great opportunity.

This is a man who actually had to work; hard!; to get a movie and a character he is actually passionate about, out there. 10/11 years he had to fight for it. This is a recognition of his hard work and patience. And I respect him for that. I'd respect any other person who has worked hard for anything and that thing came to fruition.
It's not about stroking his ego, HELL, he probably won't even see this, and I'm fine with it. What I am not fine with is someone who just outright shat on an opportunity to get to know it better and get an inside view.
Image if a group of scientists who discovered the cure for some major disease got this treatment! Or if the Apollo teams had been 'disrespected' like this. They're not the same thing, but man!, all of them worked for it.
This was MY POINT OF VIEW on someone who's work and dedication I respect and another person whom, as of now, I do not. You don't have to share my opinion, but you can at least respect it and not act like a downright jerk.
