- Tulsi Gabbard announced this week she`s leaving the Democratic Party. The former Hawaii congresswoman joined "CUOMO" to explain her decision, saying she will, as an independent, "continue using whatever platform I have to bring common sense, truth and this voice for freedom."
Taking jabs at President Joe Biden, Gabbard said the U.S. and other Western leaders are responsible for escalating the war in Ukraine and haven't pushed hard enough for a negotiated peace, suggesting they persuaded Ukraine to walk away from talks. However, the White House has maintained it has not given Ukraine any directions or conditions necessary for negotiations, instead leaving those decisions solely in the hands of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

What you're saying isn't always applicable. Sometimes one person is straight up lying and there is no in-between. If both people are being as honest as they can, and there is a middle grounds regarding their interpretations because they are both relatively of sound mind and morality, then what you're saying applies. I have been following politics for over fifty years and read a lot about politics of before my birth. The third party run at the Presidency has been intriguing over the years. Lots of fruity nut cases as they say, but some of them have had outstanding roots and platforms. Yet they all withered and died quickly. I think that if more than 50% of the people identified as a third party they would still be defeated. The establishment in all its forms is just to formidable. I think most of the country would like to shake the country and clean house everywhere. I suck at cleaning, but I would still volunteer.

Tulsi was disappointing in this interview. She didn’t specify who are the people that represents other side in context with Jan 6. When asked, she said there is always other side. These are generic statements that lack specifics. Many people have pleaded the fifth and many didn’t appear even on being subpoenaed. So, what is she talking about?
And this point about the President of the US helping in a war negotiation: Well, in the first place, she believes US should’ve stayed away, but now when US supported Ukraine(remember it is a bipartisan support and not just by Democrats) and Putin threatens nuclear action, she is implying that US President has to bring Putin and Zelensky to meet. If US supports Zelensky and that too in a bipartisan manner, it will not define the parameters of victory for Zelensky. He’s the leader of that country, he represents people of Ukraine and their will and US supports his desire to be part of NATO and have Russia leave. Ukraine will define the parameters of success, not the US President. Her suggesting that US President should intervene is a direct contradiction of her original position of non-interference. She’s not impressive anymore. And not charismatic either. She’ll need to be in a party to even be close to winning an election.

You missed an opportunity to debunk or at least clarify an important point, Chris. When speaking about the Jan. 6 Committee, Ms. Gabbard said that the committee didn't bring forward individuals with a different view. The committee subpoenaed Bannon. Stone. Flynn, Eastman and Clark. Bannon defied and the rest took the 5th. I believe the Jan. 6 Committee has done everything possible to get to the truth and present it to us, without cooperation from Mr. Trumps allies.

I finally visited the National African American Museum. It was a mixed bag of emotions. I figuratively felt myself move through each era of American history from 1400-mid 2000s. What more ironic is I just watched the HBO series Exterminate The Brutes, which covered the same time frame in a much detailed crafted historical experience. When I hear politicians referencing the Independence?? and what this country was founded upon. I learned and observed thats a one sides opinion and view based on a group of people. It was not founded on equality at all only a “notion” that all men are created equal. I can go on and on but a country is only at its best when all the people deem it equal.
Was wondering if Mr Cuomo has evolved since leaving cnn. He still seems like pretty much the same guy with the same views and opinions. I wanted to see Tulsi speak. She amazes me. She is so brave and honest, we need more like her in our government. Sad that she is no longer a congress woman.

I live in Europe. There can be no negotiation with Russia. They will simply start another fight elsewhere on the continent. Putin is on record in stating he wants to rewrite the world map to mirror former centuries when Russia's realm engulfed many countries that have emerged since. Russia under Putin is a threat to world order and we have to face him full-on now, as Ukraine is bravely doing. Zero negotiation!
The Ukranians are beating Putin and the US is only spending .8% of annual defense budget to arm them. Why on Earth should we reward Putin's terrorism right now in this moment? You don't give in to fascists. They want to fight, they are winning. We could cut the defense budget 2% while arming Ukraine and save money for all the fake "fiscal conservatives".
Everyone flip flops throughout the course of their lives, but Tulsi Gabbard has done it with integrity, dignity, and honor and her credibility has not diminished. In the eyes of people on all sides of the political divide her pragmatic stances has only increased her credibility. I'm not so sure that the commission did not invite people with different views. There are several people who refused to go to the commission. There are people who took the fifth on every question. And there are several people from the Trump administration who testified. I'm not sure who else she wanted them to invite.

With my new law degree in TEXAS, I am behind an independent (PURPLE) party. She is great. So many of us feel as she has stated. Putin is a priority threat. I left Republican in 2005 and Democrat 2022. Neither are paying attention. (Texas.Independent.Party)
