Whats scary is sending billions of dollars to a foreign country (Israel) to fight a war that has nothing to do with the usa. Sending billions of dollars to a country that robbed land of another and are currently indiscriminately killing civilians and that the international criminal court and countless other bipartisan national organizations who have condemmed the massacre and genocide and is literally illegal under international law is crazy. On top of that not helping the people who need it here is also crazy.

@@richieflareon3530I believe there is a law stating that you cannot camp or picnic on campus grounds unless it is in a designated camping area. However, Mnookin would never send in an armed police force to stop a couple people from eating their lunch. The enforcement of that policy is entirely up to the discretion of the chancellor and it’s ridiculous that she would call upon it to justify the forceful removal of peaceful protestors. Mnookin has said that she supports freedom of speech on campus grounds, but her actions have shown otherwise. Her actions are in direct conflict with the values that she preaches as chancellor of this university and it’s truly tragic

I stand with the Palestinian people who has been the victim throughout Israel's existence. My only stake in this is a moral one. U.S. foreign policy should not be controlled by the arms industry and the CIA. Our unyielding support and protection of Israel no matter what, which is now on a pathological level, is just an example of what our foreign policy can produce. It's quite horrific. We are living in very ugly times mainly due to the corporate media which does its best to keep people divided and ignorant.

You do realize that a large proportion of the protesters are themselves Jewish right? Pretending that the protests are anti-semetic is just propaganda. Being critical of the Israeli government and its actions is not anti-semetic. Just like being critical of Iran, Egypt, Syria etc. Is not inherently Islamophobic. Stop switching your brain off.
Its anti semitic to want Israel to stop killing civilians? Currently 35k dead and the US could pull the plug but we won't.

They had plenty of warning actually. There was an article in the paper before it ever happened and the chancellor talked to them on multiple occasions and even gave them the info to talk to the non profit that controls the investments and set up a meeting and it wasn't good enough. I love all of these protestors crying about having to face the consequences of their choices.
