  • Michael Jackson-Bolanos, 29, is charged with first-degree murder, home invasion, and lying to a peace officer after he allegedly stabbed Woll in her Detroit home in October 2023. She was found dead outside her residence in the 1360 block of Joliet Place.
    Jackson-Bolanos was arrested several weeks later amid speculation that Woll's murder was a hate crime due to her position within metro Detroit's Jewish community. However, Detroit police said later on they don't believe that to be the case.

    This is the first trial I've seen where witnesses aren't hiding behind a table/desk & they're sitting out in the open, allowing the jury to see their body movements. I wish all Judge's did this!!

      What are the odds that this guy found the only apartment with an open door in a large apartment complex. And no video of him walking around to various apartments looking for a target. Loo at some of these comments. Jurors are going to be asking themselves the same question. That's why the prosecutor should have shut down that testimony Before trial.

    WTH??
    Immunity!?
    Why? Because he works for the city of Detroit!?

      It's possibly a politically motivated aided murder< Samantha Woll was involved with a lesbian Attorney General. The Third Judicial is the most corrupt court in Michigan. They had retired Chaldean prosecutor that was keeping people in jail long enough for them to lose their jobs and force them to sell their properties at a greatly reduced price. The former Mayor of Detroit and a former police officer paid a hitman (Nate Boone Craft) to try to kill a witness.

    One definitely flew over the cuckoo’s nest with this defendant. This witness cries murder then cries crazy. I think he’s both.
    Reasonable doubt : not guilty.

  • @traveltm
    @traveltm 21 день назад +1

    Defense, if going to accuse witness of something nefarious get the name right. The witness didn’t have to but he helped out by saying after realizing could be Martin not Marvin. Defense such an a-hole. I get trying to show his client innocent and this guy did it but just looks like a fool attacking him about stupid stuff. So what if he wanted parents to tell job that had nervous break down. Seems reasonable to me. Trying to trip him up, making a big deal out if panic attack or nervous break down just makes him look a fool. Who the f’ cares. Focusing on such a stupid issue makes look like so desperate. Relevant things could have asked but didn’t. He touched on him having nine but never took it further that could have used bike to go to Sam’s as witness himself says had opportunity. It’s hard to listen to his cross as it’s awful. Which is unfortunate as would like to see if any issues with his testimony if done by a decent lawyer.

      You must not be watching this trial, ex bf is an absolute mess! The defense did excellent not completely hammering but showing this guy is soooo strange he may have actually done it.... I mean for Christ's sake , they had to arrest him because he said he may have done it! Lastly the prosecutor didn't even want to ask him anything additional after cross, which I have NEVER seen...They wanted him gone, fast!

    In all criminal trials the defense attorney always seek facts that create reasonable doubt. You don't have to prove reasonable doubt. You simply create the atmosphere of reasonable doubt. Even if the defense attorney loses he can still use reasonable doubt to introduce mitigating factor during sentencing. I'm shocked that the prosecutor allowed this into evidence. I made a comment not more than a week ago that all criminal trials are actually won or lost during pretrial not during trial. This is a prime example. The prosecutor screwed up by not keeping that evidence out. The guy made be found guilty but he will certainly get post conviction relief.

      ?? Keep out this so called confession? How woukd they keep it out? Had to be addressed.

    • @calvinmurry1096
      @calvinmurry1096 21 день назад

      @@traveltm we have a thing in law called WEIGHT AND SUFFICIENCY. You create reasonable doubt based on weight and sufficiency. All you need is one juror. Just one. Who refuse the relevancy of the evidence. And that is how criminal defense lawyers represent a client who has substantive evidence pointing to guilt. This is a litigious process involving PRETRIAL motions and pleas. An effective prosecutor would not have allowed the defense to present the reasonable doubt defense because the prosecutor knows that even if he or she prevail the prosecutor knows he will have to revisit the same argument on appeal. And that testimony will be the get out of jail card for the defendant who will be more than likely granted a new trial. Or return to court for resentencing.

    • @lilzabug

      @@calvinmurry1096 A prosecutor can INTRODUCE pretrial motions. The JUDGE determines whether or not the motion has merit. Thus your statement: "An effective prosecutor would not have allowed the defense..." is false. We don't have access to the pretrial motions. Do you?? If the issue was raised it was obviously denied or nothing would have been allowed in opening statements regarding the "confession".
